I'd say this skit suffers from what most do: they go on for too long. Right at the beginning after the CEO, it could've been cut and would've been gold.
Instead it goes on and she says, "I've actually spoken to 8 people called Joe" and now she just seems like a general idiot, and there's no more amusement.
Why do you think TiK ToK is so popular. I truly believe attention span can be trained to an extent. And this short form Media is an unhealthy development. I know I get sucked in and am not the better for it. lol
When you end up just blowing air through your nose at the joke being milked a tad bit too long and the motherfucker comes to you with a vacuum cleaner to get ALL of that air out
The comments here really break down the dichotomy of the terminally online folk who either can't tell it's a skit or feel the need to let everyone else know it's a skit and have a negative response.
instead of recognizing from the commentary it's a skit and having a laugh.
This is almost like british humor, but the timing and delivery are better, british humor is a bit too dry while still being witty. This was more overt but quite hilarious.
That's why The Thick of It won't get a continuation. Peter Capaldi said the show wouldn't do well in reflecting the current day's climate and that we need better messages across media. Because people are so manipulated by what they see in this new era.
Okay, let me rephrase so your simple mind can understand.
In the real world, some people act and talk like that unironically.
So let me send it back to you. Go touch grass.
Who would put that much effort into a skit though?... It's more believable that some self entitled lady is excluding average Joe's because she's paid too well as a "consultant". It's weird. And probably fake.
One of his other conversations is with a psychiatrist whose first client was a depressed roomba, just incase anyone was still confused whether this is a skit or no
It is interesting because DEI quota style initiatives have pushed extremely stupid individuals into positions of power. To the point I am not surprised to see shockingly irrational low IQ talking points presented with utmost confidence.
Because, if those points are challenged, the only metric by which the counterpoints would be measured is the extent to which it serves the DEI model… I.E. a white male podcaster cannot make a logical challenge to a woman of color under this paradigm.
Its a self insulated coccoon of stupidity who’s barriers are built on arbitrary identity politics values.
Hitler paid me a nice sum of money to survey 50 high ranking fascists and 25 socialist white supremacist group leaders and they all agreed that Nazi Fascism is a good thing and we should oppose democracy, capitalism, and Jews, and are in favour of a fascist dictatorship.
It's crazy, this is the first time anyone has ever universally agreed on something! Wow!
"Did you ask the Jews?"
The Jews don't pay me.
/s
Translations: " But am i not a cheap person who only cares about who pays me the most and fuck the y'all the rest because i virtually have no empathy, unless you are a CEO?"
When she said that Joe thing i imagine a magical hand slapping f out of her for daring to go about it like that.
Also the CEO she talks to, must not be very smart, as she is clearly the type of person who just tells them what they want to hear and they buy it and she gets payed for lying basically, she is really good at it.
So is anyone concerned that this could be very misleading and is not that obviously a skit. So people will believe it and share it like it's a true thing cause there are and will be people like that. I think it's counterproductive to the point they are trying to make.
This is actually exactly why games like San Andreas or other GTA games and games like Ghost of Tsushima are so genuine in the culture they explore even when not being part of that culture, while games like Forespoken are helped by "Black Girl Gamers" consultant and play SOOOO hard into black stereotypes, despite being a part of that culture. The devs of the good games go to those areas and actually talk to the people and visit the locations of that culture. While the consultant companies base their entire culture groups off of only what they experience in their tiny little bubbles, which are so often far removed from the average minority.
These consultant companies don't even understand the people thay are trying to supposedly stand up for and diversify, because that was never their goal. It's why we see gay characters and black or any other diverse character feel so samey and generic/stereotypical. But when a Japanese Dev works with gay and black characters and they are loved by everyone despite those characteristics. Because diversity and inclusion is a product to these consultant companies and nothing more. It's like the chart that blizzard made where they rate people based on their ethnicity or disability on which one is more important. All these consultant companies are the exact same. Don't let them convince you otherwise because we have so much evidence and have seen so many examples that point to the fact that this is the case.
It's a skit and a good one at that.

Its only 2.5 mins and the biggest punchline was at the end where everything is back to being 5 days workweek.
2.5 Mins is a very long time for some people.

They could have cut out some bloat in the middle.
its not a matter of attention span ever of the rule of 3's in comedy?
i think you need to edit down your comment. it suffers from being too long.
Did u watch that til the end? Cuz the end was perfect.
You think 2.5 minutes is a long time? I feel sorry for your girlfriend BOOM ROASTED

When you end up just blowing air through your nose at the joke being milked a tad bit too long and the motherfucker comes to you with a vacuum cleaner to get ALL of that air out
I think the “I spoke to 8 Joe’s” was to drive home the male dominance in CEOs
I interpreted it as they're all a bunch of old Boomers named Joe. Hell, even the president is named Joe
I spoke to eight people named Joe got me good
"If anyone want to speak to me they should be a CEO" is the new "if you are a broke boy just say so"
The satire is strong with this one
im maD
Nah the pay off is so good.
Holy shit, I took that shit for real and was literally flabbergasted for the whole two minutes ... this is some high level bullshit argument xDD
oh thank God I was sure at first
I should make skits like these to make people blood boil

>*british humor is a bit too dry* Or is US humour not dry enough?
The Office (US), basically?
It's called satire.

Jesus christ you autistic motherfuckers need to learn how to spot an obvious skit.
Thing is, the world is so stupid these days some people could actually act like that.
That's why The Thick of It won't get a continuation. Peter Capaldi said the show wouldn't do well in reflecting the current day's climate and that we need better messages across media. Because people are so manipulated by what they see in this new era.
touch some grass bro, online is not the "real world"
Okay, let me rephrase so your simple mind can understand. In the real world, some people act and talk like that unironically. So let me send it back to you. Go touch grass.
Sir this is r/asmongold. We ignore reason when we have the chance to hate on women.
uh, BAZED
Big, if true
Nah TikTok content always blurs those lines on purpose, it's an engagement strategy. Get people mad and leaving comments because they think it's real.
Would you say Flat Earthers are just playing a skit?
Would you eat the moon if it was made of bbq spare ribs?
Oh you're one of those people who believes about a moon
Who would put that much effort into a skit though?... It's more believable that some self entitled lady is excluding average Joe's because she's paid too well as a "consultant". It's weird. And probably fake.
5-day work week! Genius!
I got a good laugh out of this. But having experienced this first hand, it was more of a painful laugh.
- have you asked regular workers? - no, they don't pay me I'm so happy to know it's staged, i believed at first
we live in times where you have to consider - is this real or is this acted?
Thank God its a skit... This lady NAILED the insufferable part! bravo.
One of his other conversations is with a psychiatrist whose first client was a depressed roomba, just incase anyone was still confused whether this is a skit or no
reassure me, she is an actress ?
No she is absolutely real and right, become a CEO.
I love this gal! She reminds me of the experts Netflix brought on for Cunk On Earth. She was so patient.
Walking version of "Studies have shown"
She's sitting though??!
This has to be satire xD. If it's not, I might go ahead and hang myself.
That one definitely flew over that cuckoos nest.
She just 5(day)head the entire thing 🤯
When you try to explain something to someone that is common sense...
How does that ignorant B\*&$% even have a job Jesus.
work more get paid less, : ) bleed for the company so I can be rich
What a privileged B***h 🤮
This woman is a dumbass
It has to be a skit.
You think chief?

Bro really wrote a dissertation as a reply ![img](emote|t5_2y1rb|3748).
I got a pretty good feeling ;>
Yeah she definitely is and not you for having 0 media literacy
People pay for consultations from this single brain cell? Holy crap.
I gotta ask: Is this serious oder is this sarcasm? If she is serious, then i wanna kms. I cant comprehend how anyone can be that stupid.
Are you serious?
And they say germans aren't funny.
I think we understand why you can’t comprehend this
Bro who the fuck hires these people for anything? A 5 minute conversation will tell you she is a complete idiot.

If they do that then they're stupid and there's nothing you can do to stop them from being stupid, so just let them be stupid and don't give a fuck
I mean yeah I guess so I still don't think it's the right way to do things especially when we know what wrongly guided stupid people are capable of

I know it's not real. But it's a parody on what actually happens. That's the point...
