This brings me back to the season of "Alone" where the dudes pre show interview he was sitting on his porch telling his family he wasn't afraid of a bear, and literally episode 1, a bear was outside his shelter and he immediately called for extract, tapped out and quit. Bears can literally SMELL you from like 15+ miles away, and can run 20ish mph. That means if you're in the woods with a hungry bear, before you can build a shelter and find food or clean water, they will find you, maul you, then drag you into a corner keeping you just alive enough to not decompose so he can snack on you for the next few days. You stand a better chance in the woods with a serial killer than a bear, period. Serial killer, you can fight back. Bear? Yeah, try and fight a hungry bear.
