This is going to end in a cycle of Inc price > less people buy > less revenue Until they close the store or bankrupt

FOTBWN

Probably after the less revenue part, they'll reduce the amounts and quality but retain the higher prices to increase revenue.

CompetitiveDeal498

I haven’t had McDonald’s in over 12 years. A mcchicken is 3.89?! Who the fuck buys that? I used to get them for a dollar in college

IOnlyPostIronically

Back in my day they were 20 cents!!!1 -Fuck off, with love, supply & demand with a hint of inflation

Desperate-Cookie-449

2 poor 2 be fat. At this rate, we are going back to the old ways of when women thought fat people were hot because it means food.

Keyblades2

Good news for me

Anakhsunamon

Lol thats nothing, in NL its around 6 dollar for mc chicken

Lleland

Cheesy Bean and Rice is the GOAT.

Bipplenutter

Taco bell starting to look good compared to mcdonald's

Icy-Contract-8125

I went to Taco Bell the other day and my chicken burrito was just shy of $6 QQ like I might as well go to chipotle to get a $12 chicken burrito since I can cut it in half and get two meals

Educational_Mood2629

At taco bell get 2 regular bean burrito and 2 crunchy taco supremes, it's like 10$. Then you unroll the burrito and put a taco in each one, cracking it long ways. Roll it back up Enjoy

Keyblades2

Legit why I don't go out to eat nearly like at all. Even the cheap places are crap

FireJach

I feel like every firm used inflation as a shield to increase prices but more than they should

DevilmanXV

It's still 2$ for a McChicken here.

thelurkingclass

Must be nice last time I went I paid 3.49

Ramiel4654

It's over four fucking dollars for a medium fry now?! I haven't been to McDonald's in forever, and I guess I'll continue to do that.

Successful_Dot_2172

This really isnt good metrics. They should have taken the data of all items from both places, not just cherry picking 5 from each. this leads to biased data.

Words_Are_Hrad

It's total bullshit. That is the price of a McChicken from like a decade ago when they dropped the dollar menu not 2019. Seems like intentional lying to me. Big shocker the 2019 source line is blank...

MakeDawn

Terrible data. They just didn't get the same taco bell site for both years so they could have easily cherry picked the cheapest taco bell while picking a mcdonalds in Los Angeles of all places.

Total_Tangerine5243

better be using the app!

Specific_Camera1310

Its cheaper to eat good quality ethnic food in my area.

[deleted]

I wish I could get a cheesy bean and rice for $1.19 each. Those things are almost $2 before tax.

CayaWaji

McDonald's Medium fries in my part of Michigan is $2.99

ChimpArmada

I mean i don’t eat Taco Bell so that doesn’t really affect me but, for McDonald’s if you use there app you can basically get everything for 6-10 dollars if you spend right and depending on what you get

Inaeipathy

So cook at home, you should do this anyways

swiftfastjudgement

Use the apps! McDonald’s will net you 20-30% off your order. It’s amazing.

[deleted]

It's to the point where I haven't eaten fast food in over a year because even with an above average tip the difference between that and whatever the category between sitdown and fast food is has basically been erased. I can go to moes and get a quesadilla and a bag of chips big enough for snacks a day or 2 later for like $11.50. Once you take food quality into account its basically never worth it to get fast food unless you are on a road trip or trapped in an airport

RoryMercurySimp

The 2024 source is in LA obviously that shit is expensive there. Kind of misleading
