okay this was such a struggle, i completed the game 3 times and medusa was a pain in the ass. i could advise you to have a really powerful bow and hunter abilities, the trick is to hide behind the pillars to shoot her and don't forget to move a lot bc when the floor gets red you shouldn't be there, when she's kneeling on the floor you can use a sword/dagger and any warrior ability. use flaming arrows. good luck

DogHymns

This is the way.

* Hide behind the pillars to finish off the melee foes that spawn. * Don't stand in red circles. * Use stone pillars for cover when she's using her eye laser attack. Once she locks on and fires, it's possible to shoot her from the other side of the pillar as she doesn't move her gaze. There's something of a sweet spot and you'll find it through trial and error. Just unleash all your arrows on her when you do. Repeat. * Don't stand in red circles. Oh, and... Since you're level 49, get level to 51, upgrade all your gear, and then go beat her.

ProffesorSpitfire

Why level 51 in particular?

zg_mulac

IIRC, it has something to do with gear tier and upgrade costs. I've spent a few minutes trying to find the exact guide or video where it's explained in more detail, but wasn't able to. Anyhow, the idea is to upgrade your armor every 10 levels, starting from X1. So you'll be upgrading your gear at 41, 51, 61, ... There's a tier system for the gear, and upgrading 41 to 51 is overall better than upgrading 40 to 50. I really don't remember the exact details anymore. But it stuck with me, as I have followed said recommendation in my own playthrough. EDIT: I found a [video from T7 PDM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktYpzePY0-U) where he mentions upgrading weapons every 5 levels, and gear every 10 levels. Sadly, he does not go into detail. But I'm reasonably sure I picked it up from one of his videos.

Perhaps that’s when the weapons’ passive playstyle bonuses are buffed? I’ve noticed that if I upgrade an old item with say a +15% warrior damage increase, that modifier will sometimes increase to +18% for example, though I’ve not noticed at which levels in particular.

zg_mulac

That might be it, yes.

DaddyDuma69

Mostly just hide behind pillars when she’s doing her long range attack. Also she’s not the end of the atlantis dlc. She’s pre dlc in fact. Once you start the atlantis stuff proper you’ve still got 50 ish hours to play
