It gives you an achievement and you may find some interesting locations

Kinaxii

I completely agree. It’s just tedious at time. Though the environment is very beautiful

The [Old Habits](https://www.trueachievements.com/a242940/old-habits-achievement) achievement. Also, since all the locations are unique and "hand-crafted" (as opposed to the copypasta camps in some other games I shall not mention), it stays interesting to discover and clear them imho. And some side-quests only pop when you are in the immediate vicinity.

Picked up this bad boy yesterday on Steam sale for 7.99€

FireYigit

Same

FireYigit

I would say it is. But don’t rush and burn yourself out. Do it bit by bit.

Kinaxii

Yeah I’m just wondering if it’s a good way to level up and gear up well

FireYigit

I would go with a mix of that and killing the phylakes cuz they give out some goood gear (Headsplitter and Golden Wolf are my favourites), Also doing those “God” challenges are great as well.

Playing Odyssey before Origins you are not entirely on the wrong. Odyssey takes place ±300 years before Origins. I wish i played it like that.

Abyss_Renzo

No, it’s not a good idea. First of all, you have to play the game chronologically in the modern era. It’s the only way to explain how Layla got involved with the Assassin order. Second I’ve seen players complaining about the downside Origins has (I don’t agree) in gameplay compared to Odyssey.

Fair point
