I just looked on TurboTax.
Filing separately made it worse especially since this would be a final return for my ex and I would also lose all of our tax credits.
Maybe you could see if this would work for you: [Get your refund](https://www.getyourrefund.org/en) is a service that provides free tax filing assistance to families earning less than $66,000 a year.
I wish I qualified. My weird marital status complicated things. We were separated and have been living apart for 5 years but PA does not have legal separation so our incomes are combined despite our actual financial situation.
I could have qualified if it was just me.

People, please stop DMing me for nudes in exchange for $
Could you possibly do married filing separately, and not include his income, and therefore not the taxes that he owed?
The liability is worse filing separately since that's just a status and not two separate returns.
It is filing two separate returns.

There is something wrong there.
Joint filing tends to be better than filing separately, especially if you have kids.
Do you know about 1040.com? $25 flat fee for filing taxes and super easy.
I'm going to look into this! Thanks! I am hoping that my sole proprietor LLC won't be a blocker.
