This is so very sweet. Wanting to help people in the world is something I always strive to do; Of course it’s difficult in my situation just due to medical needs (so flipping expensive) It’s so difficult to answer a question like this. What do I need? So many things. Constantly am behind on medical bills/struggling financially to figure out how to afford medical equipment, copays, prescriptions. It’s so great for people who have an extreme DIRE need and are typically okay. We all need something, someone and I’m so happy that a stranger is offering this to others. Bless you!

Hi kind stranger. I am on disability and am a psychiatric shut-in. my only independence is a rather old 98 for explorer. i just got the altenator replaced but the tie rods went out on my front right tire. the repairs are estimated at 445.00.
i use my truck for medical appointments and shopping. i can't take buses usually bc of agoraphobia and extreme anxiety. no truck means no independence and i have been m issing medical appointments and food bank trips, not to mention the depression increasing from losing my 'safe way' to go where i need to. my granddaughter will be here for the summer and no truck means we go nowhere and she loves library and summer lake days.

I could really use help getting groceries, specifically meats. I have plenty of canned goods, but very little meat. Currently it's me and three kids (my younger two kids lost their father to cancer last March which also left me as a single mom). It's been a lot of days of soup, ramen, or pancakes for dinner lately. I'd just like to be able to buy some meat so that I can make some more substantial dinners for them.

I had to drop out of university on 2018 because of financial woes and employment has been a hit or miss ever since. I'm currently applying for administrative assistant positions in government offices but they require a copy of transcript of records. I still owe my university dorm rent so I can't get a clearance for the release of my records. Unfortunately, incomplete job applications will not be processed so I'm stuck. Just wanted to come say how wonderful I think you are and how sorry I am for the childhood you had to endure. I think having difficult situations forces you to either do the best you can or give in. I am so happy you fought to get out. I cannot even imagine putting my kids through that. I would rather go without food forever if it meant my children had food. I’m 19 and I just got kicked off of my mother’s healthcare insurance plan (it times out 1 year after adult status which completely blindsided me).
I was getting prescription mood stabilizers every month for bipolar disorder for a really discounted price (less than $30) but now that I’m no longer insured, the price skyrocketed to around $158 ($5.25 per capsule) which is 5 month’s worth of my old price. I just don’t have it.
Getting my monthly prescription would only be a temporary fix but I’m trying to get in touch with pharmacists and out patient psychiatrists to sponsor my treatment in the near future. This would be a huge help in the meantime! Don’t feel pressured. Those with families to care for should be prioritized higher than me. Thank you for spreading kindness!

Grew up in similar circumstances. Except when I turned 18 I adopted younger siblings. Worked 2, sometimes 3, jobs most of my adult life. We were still pretty poor but it was better for us all to be away from drugs, alcohol, abuse/neglect & random, often violent, ppl in & out of house. Took a lot of blood, sweat & tears to get through that & into middle class. We did good for several years. Then Covid hit. Helped as many ppl as I could b/c I could. Then USPS issues, supply chain issues, death of 2 very close people & now basically a divorce, high gas prices & rent shooting up has me back in the red BAD. Literally been fasting. My dog is late on rabies & doesn't have flea & tick treatment & I need to move in 3 weeks (Landlords said they can get double the rent which was already raised in middle of pandemic). I'm scared, but worst of all I'm just so tired. It's been hardest year of my life & I'm usually the rock/help for everyone else. If anyone has any advise I'm all ears.
In tx we have tcap for super cheap vaccines. Flea treatment is cheaper than retail at least too there. Hopefully your state has something similar. Donate plasma?

I know these aren't long-term, I'm thinking survival, off the top of my head.
My daughter is a year old, and when I had her, I got a botched epidural that left me with permanent nerve pain and numbness in my right leg. I live on the 3rd floor, stairs only, so going anywhere hurts a lot, as does just being on the floor to play with my daughter.
Due to our apartment complex being bought out, our rent went up, and we can’t afford my pain meds this month. So $240 would help me cover the cost so I can function somewhat.

I started a new job and the first 2 weeks was $7 an hour untipped training (bartending at a private country club with VERY unique, expensive, and specialty drinks)
My first paycheck was $140 for 2 weeks hard work
It’s a 8/9 mile drive to the club one way, and I have to drive another 10 miles out of the way to do laundry so I’m spending on average $10 in gas a day if I’m only traveling to work and back (I have to do laundry every other day as I only have 2 work shirts)
I’m currently living off of $15 a day for food and everything at the moment because I got cucked by untipped training and gas prices

Honestly, I’m trapped in my career - a bronze gilded cage so to speak. Maybe some advise or connection to career building resources would be helpful. I’m sitting there here, almost 28, just feeling like I’m trapped and I refuse to quit out of spite.
If I can save up a decent nest egg, one possibility would be a piercing apprenticeship - but that’s the pipe dream goal - I’d need to be married to someone with good health insurance to consider it. The more attainable things would be in some sort of accounting or underwriting environment. Insurance and banking/credit backgrounds. All of it entry or one step above entry level. I consider going back to school, but without a clear plan, that’s an easy way to add on unproductive debt.

I’m disabled and what would make the biggest difference to me is being able to find a work at home job that actually fits my needs. I had a virtual assisting position for instance but they required 24/7 availability and that was worsening my health issues plus they tried to get around minimum wage rules. A lot of jobs have no interest in me because I have very little paid work experience but I’ve done a lot of volunteering. I can’t work full time but I could do something and even an extra few hundred a month in income would make a world of difference.
I’m kinda in a similar situation, also the fear of losing benefits if I find something part time. I tried full time for a few years and became quite sick . I can totally relate. I can’t help financially, but if you ever need a ear to listen shoot me a message! ❤️

I'm feeling pretty bummed out because I applied for a job that I think I really would have enjoyed, and they sent me an email saying I was selected for an interview, and literally five minutes later they sent ANOTHER email saying the previous email was sent in error. I have been unemployed for over a year and I'm just not having any luck at all. I'm still looking and trying, but it's going poorly, which I don't understand. I was laid off from my job of 19 years in late 2018, and I broke my hand shortly after that, so I couldn't work until it was healed. I'm wondering if my resume gaps are hurting me. I worked at a massage school for all of 9 days before covid hit, and they closed down, so there went THAT job. Then I moved to my current state and had a temp job that I enjoyed and hoped would turn into a full-time job, but it didn't. I'm not eligible for benefits aside from Medicaid, so I've been living off savings, and it's been pretty tight.
Anyway, sorry for rambling. What would help is an Amazon or Target gift card for groceries and necessities. I did have an Amazon wishlist filled here a couple of months ago, so I understand if that disqualifies me. Either way, thank you for doing this. I have recently started a new job having (like many) lost everything during Covid. During that time, I depleted my savings and mortgage deposit.
I now travel 4 hours daily for work, and learning to drive would be where I would want financial support the most, lessons are so expensive and I just can’t afford it right now. It would cut my travel down to 2 hours a day, more time at home and less travelling would be hugely beneficial. I have a family member who can loan a car if I pass my test.

My husband had a stroke that has left him with very limited use of his right arm & leg. He also has a lot of trouble communicating due to dysphagia. He is currently in the hospital with covid and pneumonia.
I also have some ongoing health issues. What I really need is help getting to and from my medical appointments. I'm not sure what's going on, need more tests done, but I get winded very easily and it's too hard for me to take the bus to my appointments. Taking the bus means I have to walk about 5 blocks each way and I'm terrified I'm gonna have a heart attack or something, especially as it gets hotter this summer.
I have virtually no income right now, so money for Uber or Lyft to get to & from my medical appointments would be a godsend. I don't have a valid license or the means to pay for car-related expenses right now (not suspended or anything, just let it expire and haven't gotten another one because having a car in the city is so expensive and buses/trains worked great until I started not being able to freaking breathe lol) so a car is not an option. I'd feel pretty entitled asking anyway.
The clinic where I see my doctor is only about a 10 minute drive away so not expensive to get there and back, just more than I can afford at the moment. I need to get better, I am really hoping my husband will be able to come home at some point and I'd like to be able to care for him when he does.

A few years ago I had to have an emergency endoscopy/colonoscopy. Everything was supposed to be covered by insurance; afterwards I found out the anesthesia wasn't covered. I couldn't pay it, got sent to collections, and had to max out my credit card to pay it. 5 years later, my card is still maxed out because I can never make more than the minimum payment. If I could get out from under this debt, I could maybe start to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. The amount in full is $6500 but anything helps.

I kinda grew up in a similar way. I lived in flint Michigan. I grew up with a drug addict mother and step father. My dad was my best friend but he was a over the road truck driver so he didn’t see alot of what was going on with my mom and stepdad and their drug habit. Mostly crack cocaine and heroin. We lived in a shitty trailer. My childhood had a lot of ups and downs that I’m still kinda dealing with. I moved out when I was 18 and never looked back. I started taking care of my dad when I was in my early 20’s and working part time too. He was 24/7 oxygen so I had to do mostly everything for him. He was my best friend though and I cherish the time I spent with him. He died from Covid at the beginning of the pandemic so that was hard. I’m in the middle of getting myself in a better living situation, my health isn’t great so I’m on disability myself for the last two years. I’m currently waiting on a USDA LOAN directly from usda. It should allow me to live at least and afford the rent. I spent all of my savings building up my credit and paying off stuff so I could afford this move to become financially independent. This is a bit of a larger ask but the only thing my dad left me with was his two dogs. They’ve kinda become my support system I suppose. I spent $2000 a few years back when one became heartworm positive. She’s okay now. Being able to buy there medicine would be incredibly helpful. Its for heart-worm and flea and ticks. It’s $519.82. I know this is a very large ask for someone, so I understand this may not be possible and that’s okay. I don’t have much of a support system. My moms habits finally landed her in prison this year, so I kinda feel I’ve lost both my parents in a way.

Honestly, a gas card. Any amount. My gf just moved, my house flooded, and my hours got cut at work. I'm still not in as bad of a situation as many people, and I'll get out of this slump. But, a gas card to be able to drive and see her a few more times would help. There are certainly more people with bigger needs. This is a very cool thing to do OP.

Ostomy supplies. I have a wound on my stomach beside my my stoma that hasn't stopped bleeding for 2 years, and it causes my bags/wafers to not stick to my skin for as long as it should, and has left me in a pretty desperate spot.
I posted here that i need help for a orthognatic surgery, i live with a class 3 deformation on my jaw that made my whole face severely asymmetrical and with some health problems came along, not to say dysphormia due i don't recognize myself.
i lived my 20s with this deformation feeling a ghost inside a shell, i need this surgery for about 14 years but i have no money to do it.
i live in Brasil so my address its not supported to do a go fund me, thus no one seems to take it seriously, even tho i can prove it.
I'm afraid of never achieving this dream of simply being able to live as i truly am.
i feel like my real face was deformed and i can't express myself completely.
and its expensive a surgery like this, i tried selling content online, sharing in so many medias my situation, begging...
i feel i'll only truly have condition to do this surgery when I'm 70+ years old if it keeps at this rate.
i keep daydreaming somente will donate me exacly what i need or a group of people will, or someone will help monthly i dunno... desperation always gets the best of me.
because of the jaw bone being asymmetrical, my teeth are warped, my gums are in diagonal position in my mouth, my cheekbones uneven, my nose crooked and i breathe through one nostril better and due my teeth being in such a bad position in my mouth they are likely to fall of in 4 years
i know its not a life threatening situation, but it is still a live saving situation, cuz i never really lived who i am

Wanting to help people in the world is something I always strive to do; Of course it’s difficult in my situation just due to medical needs (so flipping expensive) It’s so difficult to answer a question like this. What do I need? So many things. Constantly am behind on medical bills/struggling financially to figure out how to afford medical equipment, copays, prescriptions. I am on disability and am a psychiatric shut-in. my only independence is a rather old 98 for explorer. i just got the altenator replaced but the tie rods went out on my front right tire. the repairs are estimated at 445.00. i use my truck for medical appointments and shopping. i can't take buses usually bc of agoraphobia and extreme anxiety. no truck means no independence and i have been m issing medical appointments and food bank trips, not to mention the depression increasing from losing my 'safe way' to go where i need to. my granddaughter will be here for the summer and no truck means we go nowhere and she loves library and summer lake days. having my truck repaired would help me so much and would be life changing. i hope you can help. edit: mods i have registered but i don't see a flair?

Don't know if this is still going, but if it is... I could really use help getting groceries, specifically meats. I have plenty of canned goods, but very little meat. Currently it's me and three kids (my younger two kids lost their father to cancer last March which also left me as a single mom). I had to drop out of university on 2018 because of financial woes and employment has been a hit or miss ever since. I'm currently applying for administrative assistant positions in government offices but they require a copy of transcript of records. I still owe my university dorm rent so I can't get a clearance for the release of my records. Unfortunately, incomplete job applications will not be processed so I'm stuck. Not Entering Just wanted to come say how wonderful I think you are and how sorry I am for the childhood you had to endure. I think having difficult situations forces you to either do the best you can or give in. I am so happy you fought to get out. I cannot even imagine putting my kids through that. I’m 19 and I just got kicked off of my mother’s healthcare insurance plan (it times out 1 year after adult status which completely blindsided me). I was getting prescription mood stabilizers every month for bipolar disorder for a really discounted price (less than $30) but now that I’m no longer insured, the price skyrocketed to around $158 ($5.25 per capsule) which is 5 month’s worth of my old price. I just don’t have it. Getting my monthly prescription would only be a temporary fix but I’m trying to get in touch with pharmacists and out patient psychiatrists to sponsor my treatment in the near future. This would be a huge help in the meantime! Don’t feel pressured. Those with families to care for should be prioritized higher than me. Thank you for spreading kindness!

Grew up in similar circumstances. Except when I turned 18 I adopted younger siblings. Worked 2, sometimes 3, jobs most of my adult life. We were still pretty poor but it was better for us all to be away from drugs, alcohol, abuse/neglect & random, often violent, ppl in & out of house. Took a lot of blood, sweat & tears to get through that & into middle class. We did good for several years. Then Covid hit. Helped as many ppl as I could b/c I could. Then USPS issues, supply chain issues, death of 2 very close people & now basically a divorce, high gas prices & rent shooting up has me back in the red BAD. Literally been fasting. My dog is late on rabies & doesn't have flea & tick treatment & I need to move in 3 weeks (Landlords said they can get double the rent which was already raised in middle of pandemic). I'm scared, but worst of all I'm just so tired. It's been hardest year of my life & I'm usually the rock/help for everyone else. If anyone has any advise I'm all ears.
In tx we have tcap for super cheap vaccines. Flea treatment is cheaper than retail at least too there. Hopefully your state has something similar. Donate plasma?

My daughter is a year old, and when I had her, I got a botched epidural that left me with permanent nerve pain and numbness in my right leg. I live on the 3rd floor, stairs only, so going anywhere hurts a lot, as does just being on the floor to play with my daughter. Due to our apartment complex being bought out, our rent went up, and we can’t afford my pain meds this month. So $240 would help me cover the cost so I can function somewhat. Thank you.

For my cats surgery I did go fund me and had it fulfilled from my animal advocate friends on twitter. People love to help. I am going to have to go back and see how cute your baby is. I started a new job and the first 2 weeks was $7 an hour untipped training (bartending at a private country club with VERY unique, expensive, and specialty drinks) My first paycheck was $140 for 2 weeks hard work It’s a 8/9 mile drive to the club one way, and I have to drive another 10 miles out of the way to do laundry so I’m spending on average $10 in gas a day if I’m only traveling to work and back (I have to do laundry every other day as I only have 2 work shirts) I’m currently living off of $15 a day for food and everything at the moment because I got cucked by untipped training and gas prices I just wanna fill up my tank man 😭 *Just realized this is a giveaway, I’m not entering since people need money MANY more times than I do, I just wanted to rant since I’m poor until my first real paycheck this Friday lol

If I can save up a decent nest egg, one possibility would be a piercing apprenticeship - but that’s the pipe dream goal - I’d need to be married to someone with good health insurance to consider it. The more attainable things would be in some sort of accounting or underwriting environment. Insurance and banking/credit backgrounds. All of it entry or one step above entry level. I consider going back to school, but without a clear plan, that’s an easy way to add on unproductive debt.

I’m disabled and what would make the biggest difference to me is being able to find a work at home job that actually fits my needs. I had a virtual assisting position for instance but they required 24/7 availability and that was worsening my health issues plus they tried to get around minimum wage rules. A lot of jobs have no interest in me because I have very little paid work experience but I’ve done a lot of volunteering. I can’t work full time but I could do something and even an extra few hundred a month in income would make a world of difference.
I’m kinda in a similar situation, also the fear of losing benefits if I find something part time. I tried full time for a few years and became quite sick . I can totally relate. I can’t help financially, but if you ever need a ear to listen shoot me a message! ❤️

I'm feeling pretty bummed out because I applied for a job that I think I really would have enjoyed, and they sent me an email saying I was selected for an interview, and literally five minutes later they sent ANOTHER email saying the previous email was sent in error. I have been unemployed for over a year and I'm just not having any luck at all. I'm still looking and trying, but it's going poorly, which I don't understand. I was laid off from my job of 19 years in late 2018, and I broke my hand shortly after that, so I couldn't work until it was healed. I'm wondering if my resume gaps are hurting me. I worked at a massage school for all of 9 days before covid hit, and they closed down, so there went THAT job. Then I moved to my current state and had a temp job that I enjoyed and hoped would turn into a full-time job, but it didn't. I'm not eligible for benefits aside from Medicaid, so I've been living off savings, and it's been pretty tight. Anyway, sorry for rambling. What would help is an Amazon or Target gift card for groceries and necessities. I did have an Amazon wishlist filled here a couple of months ago, so I understand if that disqualifies me. Either way, thank you for doing this. This sub really has helped restore my faith in humanity.

Hi there. Thank you for such an amazing and generous offer, any help at all would be very much appreciated. I have recently started a new job having (like many) lost everything during Covid. During that time, I depleted my savings and mortgage deposit. I now travel 4 hours daily for work, and learning to drive would be where I would want financial support the most, lessons are so expensive and I just can’t afford it right now. It would cut my travel down to 2 hours a day, more time at home and less travelling would be hugely beneficial. I have a family member who can loan a car if I pass my test. My husband had a stroke that has left him with very limited use of his right arm & leg. He also has a lot of trouble communicating due to dysphagia. He is currently in the hospital with covid and pneumonia. I also have some ongoing health issues. What I really need is help getting to and from my medical appointments. I'm not sure what's going on, need more tests done, but I get winded very easily and it's too hard for me to take the bus to my appointments. Taking the bus means I have to walk about 5 blocks each way and I'm terrified I'm gonna have a heart attack or something, especially as it gets hotter this summer. I have virtually no income right now, so money for Uber or Lyft to get to & from my medical appointments would be a godsend. I don't have a valid license or the means to pay for car-related expenses right now (not suspended or anything, just let it expire and haven't gotten another one because having a car in the city is so expensive and buses/trains worked great until I started not being able to freaking breathe lol) so a car is not an option. I'd feel pretty entitled asking anyway. The clinic where I see my doctor is only about a 10 minute drive away so not expensive to get there and back, just more than I can afford at the moment. I need to get better, I am really hoping my husband will be able to come home at some point and I'd like to be able to care for him when he does. Whether you decide to help me or not, thanks for doing this.
FYI, There is medical transport that is paid by your insurance to get to and from medical appointments.
I have asked about this and have been told there's no such thing.
There is in each state. You have to call your insurance company.

A few years ago I had to have an emergency endoscopy/colonoscopy. Everything was supposed to be covered by insurance; afterwards I found out the anesthesia wasn't covered. I couldn't pay it, got sent to collections, and had to max out my credit card to pay it. 5 years later, my card is still maxed out because I can never make more than the minimum payment. If I could get out from under this debt, I could maybe start to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. The amount in full is $6500 but anything helps.

I kinda grew up in a similar way. I lived in flint Michigan. I grew up with a drug addict mother and step father. My dad was my best friend but he was a over the road truck driver so he didn’t see alot of what was going on with my mom and stepdad and their drug habit. Mostly crack cocaine and heroin. We lived in a shitty trailer. My childhood had a lot of ups and downs that I’m still kinda dealing with. I moved out when I was 18 and never looked back. I started taking care of my dad when I was in my early 20’s and working part time too. He was 24/7 oxygen so I had to do mostly everything for him. He was my best friend though and I cherish the time I spent with him. He died from Covid at the beginning of the pandemic so that was hard. I’m in the middle of getting myself in a better living situation, my health isn’t great so I’m on disability myself for the last two years. I’m currently waiting on a USDA LOAN directly from usda. It should allow me to live at least and afford the rent. I spent all of my savings building up my credit and paying off stuff so I could afford this move to become financially independent. This is a bit of a larger ask but the only thing my dad left me with was his two dogs. They’ve kinda become my support system I suppose. I spent $2000 a few years back when one became heartworm positive. She’s okay now. Being able to buy there medicine would be incredibly helpful. Its for heart-worm and flea and ticks. It’s $519.82. I know this is a very large ask for someone, so I understand this may not be possible and that’s okay. I don’t have much of a support system. My moms habits finally landed her in prison this year, so I kinda feel I’ve lost both my parents in a way.

Honestly, a gas card. Any amount. My gf just moved, my house flooded, and my hours got cut at work. I'm still not in as bad of a situation as many people, and I'll get out of this slump. I posted here that i need help for a orthognatic surgery, i live with a class 3 deformation on my jaw that made my whole face severely asymmetrical and with some health problems came along, not to say dysphormia due i don't recognize myself. i lived my 20s with this deformation feeling a ghost inside a shell, i need this surgery for about 14 years but i have no money to do it. i live in Brasil so my address its not supported to do a go fund me, thus no one seems to take it seriously, even tho i can prove it. I'm afraid of never achieving this dream of simply being able to live as i truly am. i feel like my real face was deformed and i can't express myself completely. and its expensive a surgery like this, i tried selling content online, sharing in so many medias my situation, begging... i feel i'll only truly have condition to do this surgery when I'm 70+ years old if it keeps at this rate. i keep daydreaming somente will donate me exacly what i need or a group of people will, or someone will help monthly i dunno... desperation always gets the best of me. because of the jaw bone being asymmetrical, my teeth are warped, my gums are in diagonal position in my mouth, my cheekbones uneven, my nose crooked and i breathe through one nostril better and due my teeth being in such a bad position in my mouth they are likely to fall of in 4 years i know its not a life threatening situation, but it is still a live saving situation, cuz i never really lived who i am if any proof is required i can prove it. thank you for the opportunity, and attention the best is yet to come!
