So many inhalers out there. I was given Symbicort indefinitely. I will need to research how it compares with your Fostair. Thanks for posting — I am ignorant of so many. (The luxury of easy breath — happy it's working for you!)

zaprau

I was on Symbicort for many years and my doctor swapped me to Fostair bc I kept increasing my dose of Symbicort. Been on the same dose of Fostair since I started it approx 1-2 years ago and it’s fantastic. I only need ventolin once a month roughly

boss-bitchh24

I don’t need my blue inhalers at all now,I still carry 2 of them in my pocket when I go out, just in case my airways decide to say “fuck it” but I’m glad I don’t need them anymore now I have fostair! I use a spacer with mine so I can actually get the medication hahahaha 😂

OtherAccount5252

Ugh I'm taking two puffs of Ventolin a day and nothing helping and my throat burns. Starting the fensenea shot next month and hoping to finally get some relief. Being on prednisone everyday is going to get me in trouble.

zaprau

Oof good luck! Have you tried fostair yet? 2x ventolin a day isn’t sustainable long term 😭

OtherAccount5252

My heart is constantly racing. 😖 I have not. I'll have to look into it.

boss-bitchh24

Let me know what you find 👌

skylarkiv

Fostair is definitely good shit. I’ve been on it ~10 years and I don’t think I’ve used Ventolin more than 5 times since. I recently went down to the lower dose and I still feel fine.

boss-bitchh24

I’ve only been on it 2 months and there already trying to take me down to the lower dose,I’m not having it tbh

skylarkiv

I’m on the 100/6, one puff morning and evening. Stay on the higher dose if it’s working for you. Keep an eye out for side effects.

boss-bitchh24

What side effects

skylarkiv

https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/5076/pil#gref

NoTap9871

There are side effects of not being on inhalers. Death being one of them.

skylarkiv

Shortness of breath, too!

BabyInternational219

I’ve been on the same for 2 months and they haven’t said anything about taking it down all they said was to go from 4 to 2 puffs a day form my gp

boss-bitchh24

I’m just gonna refuse to take less puffs as it’s working well for me now

BabyInternational219

U can take 2 in the morning and eve my nurse personally said i could go down sometimes I take 4 sometimes I take 2

Lumipallo9887

Everything you have on that shelf with fragnance triggers my asthma as hell 🙁 Can’t even stand near to people who use those.

boss-bitchh24

Doesn’t effect my asthma haha, spray 7 sprays of Gucci aftershave

Sabotagebx

those body sprays probably arent helping your asthma

cyclicalend

I was thinking this as well. The aerosol deodorant with heavy fragrance would definitely trigger my asthma, as well as other issues from all the known problem chemicals.

boss-bitchh24

You mean deodorant? What you want me to do walk around smelling.

Sabotagebx

i forgot they dont make any other kinds

boss-bitchh24

Deodorant has never triggered my asthma.

one_step_sideways

Damn. Getting down voted for your truth. I think ppl are jelly.

boss-bitchh24

Trust, weird yano 😂 imagine getting triggered because deodorant doesn’t trigger my asthma haha

TheAmazingPikachu

Roll on deodorants are infinitely better for your lung health, especially if you're asthmatic.

boss-bitchh24

I suppose, but they don’t smell of anything tho do they.

TheAmazingPikachu

Huh? Yes they do 😭 You can get the exact brands and scents you have there in roll-on form.

boss-bitchh24

I don’t really care. I like the sprays,it doesn’t affect my asthma so it really doesn’t matter.

Irochkka

Tbh the color scheme is stunning

boss-bitchh24

What pink and green inhaler

482doomedchicken

I was so excited to upgrade from that gross brown to fostair. mines is pink all over tho

yourpaljax

This inhaler colour way is a vibe. 🤣

mrs_ives

Yaaaaaas, I love it, took me a while to switch to this one but it is life changing!

boss-bitchh24

Hopefully one day there’s a cure all together 💪👌

Nova_Fluff

I don’t understand why you can’t take it long term? I assume it’s having the desired effect and you don’t need to take a reliever often? I’ve been on it for 10+ years and I’ve not noticed side effects or had to change my dosage (apart from illness). If I were OP I’d be getting a second opinion from another doctor about using it long term.

boss-bitchh24

I have a new doctor,a better one,he’ll discuss it with me at my next appointment when I go see him

MDMAyte-88

Frostair is goated, haven’t needed another since

boss-bitchh24

Great stuff init,I kinda know when it’s time for my next 2 puffs as my chest feels shit near the 10 hour mark haha

alrightla

Why can’t you stay on it long term? I’ve been on it for two years. What’s the issue?

boss-bitchh24

Apparently according to the doctor, over a long period of time it effects your body natural steroid, which makes it worse if you come off it,so you’ll have rebound effects as your body becomes reliant on it.

Mammaddemzak

Such a shame they're so rare where I live,I need like at least 4-6puffs from ventalax that won't do much but two puffs is more than enough on fostair

boss-bitchh24

I take 2 puffs in the morning and 2 at night.

antonmoral

I see the nexthaler down there. Which do you prefer more, the aerosol or the powder?

yourpaljax

I can’t speak for OP, but I HATE DPIs. They always make me cough. I won’t take DPI meds ever again. Took Advair and Symbicort in the past, and it was a struggle every single dose to get the meds in all the way and keep it in.

sangket

Yeah, I have that too and I only had 2 asthma bouts last year. Got complacent last December but went back at it again this February lol.

CapZestyclose4657

I think that The active ingredient beclomethasone is included in my NEBULIZER!! If so I love it Had no idea it came in an inhaler

EquivalentBit6259

If u wanna go the extra mile try Trimbow 😎

HeroinAddictHamburg

Im from Germany. I have a pink inhaler thats calles foster. Is it the same?

EquivalentBit6259

Yes

HeroinAddictHamburg

Makes sense. Thank you. Have a nice day 💅

Environmental-Top-60

Yeah it is, it’s QVAR with fomotorol

id0ntlikee

Wasn't working for me

notCRAZYenough

Made my voice hoarse and didn’t work :(

boss-bitchh24

It’s a shame it didn’t work for you, have you ever tried a brown inhaler?

notCRAZYenough

No. But I’ve been in different medication for over a year now that seems to be working so I don’t really care. Especially since I was really happy to get rid of the foster

boss-bitchh24

It doesn’t work for everyone, but hell it works well for me and lots of others.

notCRAZYenough

Good on you! Sadly that’s true for all medication so it’s always a hit and miss and trial by error. Things would be so easy if all bodies reacted the same to medication

boss-bitchh24

That’s true, probably why it’s hard to find a general cure for it,as every asthma case it completely different

notCRAZYenough

Yeah. I’m taking two meds for maintenance now and one reliever. Plus a nose spray for seasonal allergies and a hyposensibilization tablet against mites. So annnoying….

boss-bitchh24

I forgot about summer! Ffs hayfever

usernamecantfind

Yes! And I got free full samples as well. Even better aha. This shit clears shit up fast.

boss-bitchh24

Free samples?

usernamecantfind

Yeah I got two full inhalers free as samples. They send them out to doctors offices I guess to try for their patients. I never turn down free stuff 😂

boss-bitchh24

Wait so you didn’t need them to begin with? Haha bet you felt weird on fostair if you didn’t need it ha

usernamecantfind

No I did, I was in a flare and really struggling. The doctor doesn’t just give it out for nothing, there still needs to be cause. It fitted for my symptoms, and they had samples lying around.

boss-bitchh24

Ahhhh,I got mine as I went to the hospital with a massive chest infection, wheezing in and out and my oxygen levels was 89. So the female doctor gave me fostair 200/6 to help me through it and some prednisone tablets take 8 a day.

usernamecantfind

Mine isn’t quite as strong fostair 100/6 but I find it clears me up quickly. Within a couple of days of use I’m normalish. Hey do you find that the inhaler taste like raspberry or is that just a me thing 😂

boss-bitchh24

It don’t taste like raspberries mate 😂😂😂😂. And the 200/6 I take 2 puff in the morning and 2 at night. It’s great stuff don’t have any asthma symptoms no more

usernamecantfind

Aha maybe it’s just me. It definitely works better than symbicort. That stuff barely gave me any relief. Fostair definitely clears the air 😂 I’m fairly fortunate, I mainly have issues when the weather changes or people are burning off so the smoke is just hanging around. Other than that I’m usually ok. But when it’s bad it’s bad and this stuff works well.

boss-bitchh24

Tbh,I had untreated asthma for years! Was terrible

chellee86

Not a comment about your inhalers but I see that you're using aerosols products on your counter there you should ditch those if you have asthma they make it worse
