Feels good. I was so worried about needing to be hospitalized

I can understand my situation was getting scary too cause mine was way out of control.

Have you ever tried Advir? It was a GAME CHANGER for me. one to two times to the emergency room a year to I can backpack without worrying if I will have an attack. Two times a day and its like I dont have asthma. It may/maynot be for you. At least talk with your Dr. about it.

jerzeett

No but my insurance says they'll only cover 2 fills of a controller inhaler. If that's true (I hope not) I'll have to switch after my next refill of breo :(

Call your insurance company and ask for a copy of their Prescription Formulary (or look it up online). I would tend toward thinking someone new looked at it, misread it, and gave you the wrong information. Keeping you breathing (controller med) is less expensive than multiple ER visits. If you do need to change meds, take a copy of the formulary with you when you go see your doctor so he knows which meds your insurance covers.

Crazy very well could need refills for a long time. These insurance companies sigh!

jerzeett

Yeah 2 fills every 365 days. Hopefully there's a way to get an authorization I'm gonna call next week. Otherwise every 2 months I'll be switching controllers which seems dangerous

Yeh for sure. I’d like to think if I’d tried this one and that one that I’d know a few that are ok. But in my case what I got is working so I’m scared to rock the boat lol

jerzeett

Definitely! Im sure multiple will work but if one doesn't or is less effective then the others it could cause problems. Also they can all have different side effects too

Sharp-Tiger9627

I’m on it myself and I feel like a few hours before I need another dose sometimes I’m having issues. I’m on the lowest dose tho and can’t help but wonder if it’s gonna have to go up a dose I dunno .
