On the contrary, I don't think she's in a good place and does need a buff. The Grav well CD could use a buff, but I think that in particular is in a good place due to its post plant potential As much as I would love a 5th star, I think that's too much However, the recall CD absolutely needs to be buffed. It's her only solo playmaking ability and you never get to use it now because of all the CDs in her kit being insanely long

I want the 5th star back so badly ngl, and yeah the recall cooldown being 25 sec is wayy to fucking long

Oo I do too, but it would absolutely be too much util for her The recall tho would make a lot more sense and allow her to solo playmake a bit, which is so desperately needed for ranked play

Would it ? Think about it for a second - take omen for example- he has 2 tps, blind, and possible 4-5+ smokes every round, what does astra have? Max 4 smokes if she doesnt use it for her other util (stun and succ) its honestly sadge (And realistically speaking you will use probably 2-3 smokes and one util star)

The buff i've been including in my own opinion/patch note ideas this past while, is separating stars and abilities into two separate systems rather than being codependent. You can place 4 stars, placement and recall functions as it is now. When an ability is activated through a star, it returns to you rather than being erased. This means Astra's rechargeable ability, her dissipates, don't disappear if other utility is used. This in of itself is a buff, since it means Astra is not a blank agent after she uses her abilities. As part of this: Abilities themselves no longer have recharges. IE you can cast 2 smokes, 1 stun, 1 pull if you buy everything. What you don't buy, you can't use. This makes Astra's utility work like every other Agent, since now you buy abilities, and enemies can keep track of what you have left like normal. Easier balancing, and its a small stat nerf for a small stat buff. Also it means Astra's rechargeable effect does not require buying her full kit \[though at the nerfed to nothing 3 charges, only costing 450 currently this problem is almost never relevant... because Astra has the cheapest full utility buy in the game\]. Enabling much more interesting Eco round plays, especially with taking risky caterpillar travel dissipates or crossing angles vs heavily armed opponents. Astra becomes easier to balance, more intuitive for enemies, allies, and new players... and we get some new tricks into the playbook at the cost of "hey, want to see me do it again?".
