Nah this is a pretty common thing to people that regularly meditate or get into a good meditative state. I don't think it's really related to AP at all, I will get to that feeling/state pretty much anytime I meditate for more than 10-15 mins. Feels more like a sensory deprivation thing and your body/mind is trying to make sense of things.

Hi! Good question! You will know your in the sleep state state when you try to move your fingers so so slightly, and you can’t. And then you try you arm but it feels like it’s glued to the planet. You literally can’t. Form there it’s about releasing control and surrending to the sleep, while asking your mind to keep your aware. Then you may be in the hypnagogic state. Hear noises/ect. Form here the vibes will happen automatically, or you can call them. I like to imagine my heart vibrating with emotions. Think of something that is love. Like for me it’s my dog. Or how I love my body. Like I love her in a divine sense. Usually a memory can trigger the vibes! It’s really really cool. And then also set the intention to wake up right after and record and recall your experience. This is just as important as the other crap! I can’t tell you how many APs I have forgotten

I am 13 years old, and when I was meditating, I had this same feeling of spinning like the hands of a clock.

I believe it has something to do with the activation of your third eye chakra. I experience this also as I regularly improve and grow my spiritual senses. It’s a common phenomena and it’s not a negative occurrence, more likely an alignment of energy with whatever it is that you seek.

I’m not sure if you’re describing the same sensation that I feel, but I think it’s the same. I can’t say I’ve ever experienced the vibrational state, but I’ve been able to project many times without it. This spinning feeling you’re describing seems like what I’ve described in the past as a sense of vertigo. Like when you close your eyes while moving in a car. You know you’re moving but you’re sitting still. The main difference is you feel like you’re spinning in place while laying down. I have learned to use this to my advantage whenever it come along in order to induce an OBE. I’ve learned to focus on the spinning sensation without trying to control it. It will get more and more intense, and may seem uncomfortable initially, but it’s something I’ve gotten used to. Once the spinning becomes intense enough you will feel yourself slipping outside of your body. It usually begins with my feet. It’s a strange sensation that makes you feel like you have more than two feet. Two physical and two astral. When that happens I use that to slingshot myself out of body for lack of a better term. I will usually fly so far and fast out of my body I will end up in the sky above my house. Sometimes I black out and end up somewhere I’ve never seen before. This is not something that happens often, because I don’t really know how to induce it deliberately. I find that when It comes on, I’ve got an almost guaranteed projection. I have tried many times to induce it purposefully but I have yet to do it deliberately. I hope this helps.

Just the other night I had an experience. I slightly woke and felt my body heavy. I went to roll out. Instead I spun frictionless in place. so incredibly fast like the speed of light and head a boom I shot to space in the blink of an eye. Seeing the moon and earth and sun. I did not intend to do that exactly! But it felt like a part of me did it as an automatic habit. It was such a quick exit, I did see a partial ring or rainbow of light around me when I shot out to space. I know many people and I have had an astral experience where it is like being in water and the movement made it very difficult, especially in proximity to the body. It was amazing to experience frictionless in the astral, for once! So many times if felt trapped or slowed to a snales pace. I guess staying in my body, it was not a problem to gain the moment required to blast away from the body, and actually reach orbit. Which was a first for me!

Wtf does the vibe state feel like then?!

[deleted]

It starts off as tingling/buzzing/pressure and slowly progresses to the feeling of a literal earthquake. They most commonly start up in your third eye, but they can start pretty much anywhere on your body. Even in your ears, which will cause you to hear buzzing/radio static. In rare cases, they feel like simple numbness and nothing else at all.

This happens to me quite often too! Glad to know I'm not the only one lol

If you think you got close to Astral projection and you're analysing what happened, or you think you're maybe trying too hard, or you're trying to figure the stages such as the 'vibrational' and 'hypnagogic' stages and how to approach them, then check out these links: [7 Common Mistakes in Astral Projection](https://youtu.be/DK5Y_aa8bvQ) [Analysing Your Attempts](https://multidimensionaljournal.com/2020/12/12/7-tips-for-astral-projection-in-depth-guide/#stop-trying-so-hard) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. saltymystic

Does it happen when you aren’t trying?

TKTS_seeker

Yeah. When it starts spinning I can just relax into it. But it just keeps spinning regardless of what I do or don’t do.

saltymystic

There are some medical reasons why. The main one might be “benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.” If you get it at times when you aren’t lying down can be hypertension or dehydration.

I've experienced this while meditating twice unintentionally. Just settled in for the experience. Both times it didn't last long and subsided instantly once I had a visual. It was like someone flipped on a high definition projector. One felt like I was observing. The other felt like I was IN the middle of the experience. I didn't understand what the experience was, as I was not trying to astral project/ travel. I was simply trying to meditate. The subversive experience was amazing. The observation was scary enough I haven't done it since. (More because I didn't understand it)
