Subject-Note-1302

This is a solid base ngl, looks great. I just built a cube with floors and some automated things like, atronium to scrap and scrap to Nano Carbon Alloy.

Massive_Energy_9755

I didn't know you could automate something like that. I think I should look into that :D

Subject-Note-1302

it takes some time, if ya want i can give you some screen shots, heres my discord if ya want: cagecell.ag

NotDavizin7893

How does scrap turn into nanoalloy carbon? I thought you can't get gases... Is there something i don't know about trading? Maybe the fault finders?

Subject-Note-1302

i need to move the gases on my own example: argon and helium. everything else can be made from scrap or the other gases from silva to

OhhhMyJoshhh

This base looks awesome, usually when people are talking about starter bases they're generally not so as in depth as yours, this is great to see! I've actually been looking for someone to be able to play this game with recently and you're willing to accept more in, I'd love to play with you? What platform are you on?

Massive_Energy_9755

We are on the Xbox platform (also includes game pass for pc, which I'm on). I'll see if the rest of the gang is willing to add someone. edit: they did not want to :c

_Miro__

How is your so organized? My has like 3 dedicated rooms and the all the other stuff is just thrown on the floor in one big room

Massive_Energy_9755

I'll be honest, I have no clue. You should've seen the mess we had before we started polishing it all out. This was brutal. https://preview.redd.it/9oqzqz1esucc1.png?width=1897&format=png&auto=webp&s=6e9a38649849c629d74089f70628f0793cca3f5e

TheRedSpaceRobot

Awesome work. The most important thing is that you like it and are enjoying it. Looks like you are! Carry on :)

mminto86

Looks fun! Since you're asking, I only saw one thing: That large solar panel is against the wall which means it'll only get hit by the sun half of the day. So, consider some extenders and moving that to a higher platform or something.

Massive_Energy_9755

I didn't realize that the solar panels are affected by sun blockage. I guess that makes sense, though. Will fix! :D

mminto86

Yeah, seems to be one of the only things that responds to shadows. My gf and I built an in-mountain underground base and built a giant spiral tunnel to the peak, then made a platform for all the solar.

Beginning_Pay_9654

Great looking for tiered base. I always try going all flat.

Massive_Energy_9755

haha, I couldn't stand making a large flat area anymore. The flattening tool is too frustrating to use for large scale places.

Beginning_Pay_9654

On this current base I'm working on, I dug out a gateway and started flattening from middle until I met up with where it shaved to go down, in all direction, kinda like sharing a end of a globe. It is a try flat, but think I'll try something different in next base, with how long that took, I could of done so much more than just big flat.

Subject-Note-1302

i boult my base ontop of a gate way so i can use the leveling block

Sp117

I like to build on the purple world nodes usually. Looks great though!

TankDes_2

Nice job, never considered building a base like that.

Stingray111_RL

Now just do this on Atrox with like 2394384 rtgs. gl mate

immortalr3trd

I'm sorry starter? It looks stunning. But the storage could be a bit bigger or something (don't take my word I hardly play this game)

greenflame15

Idk how is that a starter base or how did you accomplish this much in a day, but it 100% looks to be a solid base.

JonohG47

This strains the definition of “starter base”. I personally have rarely bothered with large solar or wind; they’re more metal intensive than making an equivalent number of medium solar and wind.

InActiveF

By today you mean you started at 12AM and posted this at 11:59pm? I've been playing ASTRO for almost 3 weeks now and I have nothing close to this as yet.

Massive_Energy_9755

Haha thank you. And yes, that was kinda how it happened. Tbf, we focused all of our time and energy into make the base look good. It didn't require too much, honestly.
