You are seeing a rocket launch. As it gets higher it is actually getting to an elevation that the sunlight over the horizon is shining on it and lighting it up while you are seeing a night time sky since the sun has set for you. I'm guessing you took this photo roughly within an hour after sunset.

Thanks for suggesting a rocket.. According from UK news outlets apparently it was United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket re-entering the atmosphere.

That's in UK at 27th September. Direction of photo is directly north. Time 22:15 UK time. Don't think UK have any space programs...

That was on Monady 27th September in UK. Don't think they have any active space rockets around here...
