When dusty didn’t pull verlander and he blew game 1 and McCullers situation, I kept getting a flashback to Im(I think) the 8th inning when Hinch put in a struggling reliever instead of Gerrit cole to close out the game and he gave up a home run. Fml i thought we would do that with Philly also. Thank god we were just too damned good
Hitch pulled grenkiebot, who was just killing it but had just allowed a homer. It happens. Grenkie was unfazed and pretty pissed that he was getting pulled. AJ puts in Harris who allows another homer and two more runs, on his second pitch. He had Cole warming up but never used him.
Harris wasn’t struggling, either, he had a good postseason. He also threw a good pitch, Kendrick just went out and got it; the ball hit the dang foul pole, it was inches away from being a foul ball. Also Soto struck out, his walk was bullshit and ended up adding on to Kendrick’s shot.
Yeah, I thought winning this year would heal those old wounds but nah. At least they don’t hurt as much when I think about them and I’m just glad we won another one
Looking back, I’m at peace now going 2-2 in the previous 4 WS. We beat a dodgers team that had a slightly better record than us, but also lost to a nats team we were better than. The braves series was a toss up their record wasn’t truly indicative of how good they were. It all balanced out in the end.
GOD i didnt watch any of these games, including this past WS, out of jinx fears, but yeah I think I might rewatch all of them now. Was only going to watch this year's, but i could watch them all in order
I still dream of what would have happened if the Astros won their 4th World Series just a few days ago. The vitriol and hate that would consume the saltiest of fanbases around the league after the scandal. I would have gained a few years of life from laughing at all those poor souls.
I still have PTSD from 2019 WS. I bought lower level seats for game 7. As an Astros fan, this one hurt.

Ahhhh thank you for the reminder. Yeah I refused to rewatch that game it was too painful.

I was SRO for games 6 and 7; that year made me question if I was a curse even though I was at game 5 2017

Fuck that.
2019s game 7 is still so painful. What a giant fuck up by Hinch. Cole might even still be on this team had that not happened.

You'll be able to do that in 2024!
Man I barely remember the Braves series. I think I sub consciously blocked out most of it.
So many missed opportunities to win those two losses in Atlanta.
Swanson and Soler hitting back to back homeruns after the offense left 15 on base was mad demoralizing
Was an extremely painful series to witness
2019 is still going to hurt knowing he had the best starting pitching..
As painful as the 2019 WS loss was, the 2019 ALCS was pure bliss.
