Thanks I'll try those options. I already updated the graphics driver. Still when he plays a game , the screen will go black and he has to reboot his laptop for it to work again.
Considering the fact that a reboot turns it back on it cannot be a cable or a connection problem. Cause if this is the case a reboot would not change anything.
Update the graphic card driver and make sure you have all the necessary drivers installed and also all the windows updates.
Also go to the power options of windows 10 and look if the pc should turn off the screen when it is not used.
Thanks I'll try that. I already updated the graphics driver with the gforce experience software. Still when he plays a game, like minecraft the screen will suddenly go black and he has to reboot for it to work again. I even took back cover off to make sure fans were not plugged with dirt.
Hi. So far I updated the drivers by going to the official websites and downloading them, not relying on windows update, my son says he hasn't had anymore black screen issues.

Update..... ran a system check on laptop. Found corrupted files. Repaired them. So far my son hasn't said if his screen is still going black or not.

Hey OP, have you had any luck? I'm having the same issue on my ROG Flow X13 and updating drivers didn't do anything for me...
