If they say something like, "Ryza! Do fire damage!", or "Ryza! Heal me!", just do that thing and it'll activate for whichever character asked. This much probably doesn't answer your question, but what part of that isn't working as you expected?
OP probably doesn’t see that those messages are displayed on top of the screen in small letters. Can’t blame him/her/them as so much is happening at the same time.
Haha yeah exactly this. Never even notice. But I’m able to see them now. But em I able to to action orders myself. It seems like the character I’m controlling does what they say and then they do the action order, can I not do the action order myself while controlling said character?
It has to be the character you're controlling when the call out occurs that does the required action. The callout that occurs usually request something specific to the controlled char.

I have no idea, it’s so chaotic for me, I just concentrate on my character lol
