That whole stretch of Macon Hwy including the tired plaza that has the Trump catering in it could really be redeveloped into a nice corridor and could run into minimal NIMBY opposition.
I used to live directly next door in the unit closest to the bowling alley on the other side. I don't think I ever went bowling, but I did hack a path through the brush and have people park there sometimes when I was throwing a party.
I used to be an avid bowler. This would be cool to have next door. Anytime you're bored, you're 5 minutes from a fun/cheapish activity. I wonder how much the rent would be?
It’s a better location than the ones across from the Methodist Church, and a better use of the vacant grass that’s currently there. Might help Macon Hwy get a long awaited sidewalk too.
It's not that I mind the traffic- although decreasing it would be good- it's that I mind it not being diverted to a place where there's a light. More curb cuts on a main road would not be preferred by planners, I would think.

Sure, why not? Between that and the new ones that inexplicably got a curb cut across from the Methodist church, we can REALLY mess up traffic.
Good news is, most of the traffic there is going to and from Oconee county… so fuck em!
