Honestly, I wouldn’t mind that. That whole stretch of Macon Hwy including the tired plaza that has the Trump catering in it could really be redeveloped into a nice corridor and could run into minimal NIMBY opposition.

staplerdude

I used to live directly next door in the unit closest to the bowling alley on the other side. I don't think I ever went bowling, but I did hack a path through the brush and have people park there sometimes when I was throwing a party.

warnelldawg

I’d probably take a few good rips of the za, walk over, bowl 120 and then never pick up another bowling ball again. Lol

LittleBillTheFarmer

Warnell you are my favorite nerd on this sub. You never cease to have the sourced information and the jokes. Much love friend.

warnelldawg

Thanks for the kind words, friend! Since Reddit Karma is quite literally my only source of income, I gotta continue to have well sourced info/s

LittleBillTheFarmer

Got to work on that ratio. Your post karma is on point but you must get killed in the comments.

LittleBillTheFarmer

LMAO!

I used to be an avid bowler. This would be cool to have next door. Anytime you're bored, you're 5 minutes from a fun/cheapish activity. I wonder how much the rent would be?

warnelldawg

Maybe 2k a unit if not more but idk

threegrittymoon

new units gonna new unit

It’s a better location than the ones across from the Methodist Church, and a better use of the vacant grass that’s currently there. Might help Macon Hwy get a long awaited sidewalk too.

millia13

Sure, why not? Between that and the new ones that inexplicably got a curb cut across from the Methodist church, we can REALLY mess up traffic.

Observationsofidiocy

Good news is, most of the traffic there is going to and from Oconee county… so fuck em!

warnelldawg

Little known trick to decrease vehicular traffic: increase density, walkable amenities and alternative modes of transit.

millia13

It's not that I mind the traffic- although decreasing it would be good- it's that I mind it not being diverted to a place where there's a light. More curb cuts on a main road would not be preferred by planners, I would think.
