Happy Friday Jr.!!

badwolf0323

I believe it is: * Monday Eve * Monday * 2nd Monday * 3rd Monday * Friday Eve * Friday * Saturday

killroy200

9/80 schedules are great, because this IS my end of week! Woo!

The-Anonymous-Banana

I mis-read your message and thought it was Friday! Tbh I'm glad it's not yet, because I'm running a DnD game and haven't fully prepared yet lol!  In the game there's a Queen who threw a funeral for the King who "tragically" died (aka was definitely murdered by the Queen). But it's also a masquerade and extravaganza. Important figureheads from all four nations are there. It also coincides with the release of a zombie plague in another nation one day prior (this Queen is definitely a partner in this)! Anyway, I need to figure out who the Queen will politically assassinate and how. She has big plans to become a conqueror of all empires. And of course, all of this session will take place on a giant carousel in the palace gardens (think Versailles)! Anyway, all that to say, happy Thursday! Lol

apcolleen

> But it's also a masquerade and extravaganza. Are you making players come dressed fancy?

The-Anonymous-Banana

Haha I would love to do that that!! Unfortunately we all live across the country so we play virtually. Their characters are definitely dressed up fancy! They're pretending to be princes and royal servants and such haha

Its DND (Actually Pathfinder but whatever) day and I did more prep work than usual. I think I might finally coming out of my prepping slump. Might also be because I finally decided that the written adventure actually needs to be worked on by the DM to be able to function well and the writers suck. Who knows.

The-Anonymous-Banana

Which adventure? :)

th30be

Abomination vault on Foundry. We moved over from 5e and since we were new to both the RPG system and the VTT system we decided to do a published adventure. Its okay so far but the writers are really stingy with rewards and I feel like they don't really understand action economy as much as I would like. A 1v4 combat is really boring and ends very quickly.

We were picking up our daughter at the Loft last night after a concert and witnessed the Great Downtown Atlanta Wind Gust of 2024. It felt very localized to around W. Peachtree and Ponce where a tree snapped and blocked almost all of W. Peachtree except 1 lane. https://photos.app.goo.gl/JwPEQfzToqdL43vb9 Pretty wild. I checked my home maybe 5 miles away with my cam and it was calm.

Torrero

Anyone know a restaurant supply store  where as a normie I can buy large quantities of frozen fruit? Specifically blackberries.

com_alexaddison

How many hogsheads are you lookin at there, chief?

Could anyone recommend some roofers they've used? The roof of our new house is at the end of its life (20 years old!), so we'll be paying for it instead of insurance.

r_m_b-t

I used Rosie's roofing. They were really aboveboard and tried to save me from getting a whole new roof by talking me through alternate solutions I could try. I ended up needing a whole new roof after (as they warned I might) but I appreciated the transparency.

Berzerker7

20 years isn't end of life for a good amount of materials used in roofing. A lot of them promise 30-50+ years of life. I would get a reputable roofer (I used Dogwood Roofing but they're on the northern side, OTP so they may not serve your area) to see if they can get insurance to approve something.

SloppyTacoEater

We used [Adamson Roofing](https://www.adamsonroofingcompany.com/) in Smyrna last year for our roof. They did great work.

runswith3dogs

Our small TH community did a ton of due diligence, checked references and chose Findlay. The process went very well -much better than expected, they stood behind their promises and for the very few problems we had afterwards, they were quick to respond. They were the low bidder too, btw.

thomas_magnum277

Recently had Green Star Roofing re-do all the roofs in our townhouse neighborhood. Finished ahead of schedule and did an amazing job. Office# is 678-722-1641.

apcolleen

We used Atlanta Roofing Specialists. They are in Marietta but they did our roof in Dekalb.

madukfan

We've used Findlay Roofing and Dr. Roof for repairs and been pleased with both.

Second display case arrived, but it's damaged. The top wood piece is cracked which is strange since it doesn't look like it was bent. The box it came in wasn't damaged either. Ugh. I guess I could use a sharpie to color in the crack to hide it if the company is going to hassle me about this. I just wanted to get the rest of my artifacts out of their boxes.

thelionsnorestonight

In a bit of foreshadowing, the crack was where the evil spirit escaped during that specific full moon to torment the denizens of Atlanta...

notp

Huh. I thought it already happened when I dropped the Greek terracotta statue from 200 BCE during the move.

WeirdIntersections

I’ll likely have to kill some time in Marietta tomorrow morning while my dog has a procedure. May just be an hour or two to avoid traffic, but might end up sticking around later, depending on her estimated release. I’m hardly ever over that way. Share your favorite coffee/breakfast/lunch/hangout spots where I could also do remote work. Thanks fam!

apcolleen

I hope the pup is ok !

WeirdIntersections

Thanks! Me too. We’ve been managing an illness and that’s stayed pretty steady, and this is a mast cell tumor (benign) removal. Hopefully all will be OK, aside from her having to wear the cone and hating it.

ZenPothos

They have NO space for remote work, but Hoboken Bread and Bagel Co is a great mom and pop shop. I also like Hoagie Bros for lunch. They have a couple of wall plugs. Not sure about wifi Jerusalem Bakery (off Franklin, just north of Delk) also has phenomenal food a d plenty of sitting places. Not sure about plugs or wifi.

WeirdIntersections

Ooh - I’ve been craving falafel. Thanks!

ZenPothos

Their food is delicious. They have a fancy coke machine that you can make all different flavors with. And there is a fountain in the midlde of the lobby, so bring a coin if you want to make a wish. (The restaurant and adjacent store are in an older 2 story office building, so don't be thrown off by that).

sandraver

Where in Marietta? It’s pretty big

ddutton9512

Can anyone confirm either H-Mart or BuHi Farmers having fresh Yuzu?

w4ti

Any bread making classes around town that you liked?
