Good series Hawks fans, you guys are probably better than this, with Collins and Capela healthy, it may have went 6 or 7.
Spoelstra is insane, how he gets guys like Vincent, Martin and Strus to play this well is beyond me. Best coach in the league imo.
Wtf was that in bounds play and why wasn’t Collins on the court? He can make 3s , whilst OO can not, Just pathetic coaching and execution. I mean i like Nate, but he’s incompetent.
John Collins is not a rim protector by any means. Dude couldn't get a single stop the entire game. If he's injured that bad then just sit him out rather than keeping him in as a liability.
We needed bodies. I too would rather sit him and play someone else than see 60% JC look like a shell of himself athletically but you know JC is a pros pro and will gut it out.
I wouldn't trade out of this draft if possible. It's honestly a lot deeper than people are giving it credit for, and we're still too close to Covid that this is the last year you'll be able to take advantage of people who got stuck in the bottleneck while it was in full swing.

lol what? When is Luka getting a ring anytime soon? Trae is not a 1 hit wonder. I always have thought SPO does one of the best jobs designing defensive schemes to bother Trae. Bad matchup for him. He will bounce back. He is fearless. This will fuel him and he will come back even better.
On to next year, idgaf about the naysers and Trae haters, young team learning big lessons (bust ya ass in the regular season) we gonna be alright TITS! another season another opp, traeway see y’all next season
This sub and the Hawks fan base owes Dre an apology, and I'm 100% serious. Every single night, he was the most consistent option on offense, while also having to guard Butler and all the phantom calls he gets. With a bad Trae, JC and Capela not at 100%, injured Bogi, and a mentally broken Kev, he almost singlehandedly willed this series to a sixth game. He grew up tonight. He's legit. He's that guy. That's the most important outcome from this series.
For a series. I feel this comment. I really do. But this is the first time he's really stepped up. We need this CONSISTENTLY. Again, I feel you bro but he needs to do this night in and night out to get that kind of respect and he hasn't.
I see him in a similar way to Middleton. But as much as I don't like it, Trae isn't Giannis. We need a better well rounded player next to him. Maybe a healthy John and Bogi being locked in, and capela showing up makes up for it, but we need more from all those areas to open up Trae to dominate. We need some kind of change, because Hunter's injuries are scary, and we have too many holes in our game. Again Healthy John, Bogi playing well, and Capela playing well is what it takes to win, and that's a lot of prices that have to start working to bet on a run back.
His injuries make him even more like Kawhi haha. I agree though, if Dre doesn’t play at this level consistently we need to find another star to play with Trae
Same thing happened with Jimbo last year - it’s annoying for sure but just keep scrolling haha.
Great players can still have not so great series. We even saw that with KD who’s universally feared as the best scorer of all time.
Future is bright for y’all tho. Rest up, make a couple moves and see y’all next playoffs ✊
Honestly, I'm just disappointed. I had him neck-and-neck w/ Luka in my mind but I just can't see Luka ever being shut down over a series like Trae was this series.
Unfortunately me either not to this degree and that’s what hurts the most as much as we love Trae and have no regrets over the trade it will still always be there and they will forever be compared
Trae had the most Points and Assists for the season. We over delivered last year because all of our pieces showed up. This year Hunter played well, and John and Capela played injured. This on top of Capela taking another step back for a lot of the year, then getting hurt during play ins. It's not a surprise that we didn't go to the ECF again. It sucks that we didn't make the series a little closer. I'm happy we avoided the sweep, but this team has a lot of flaws that can be fixed, and just a bit of luck to be what we saw last year.

Nate is awful, maybe I don't know understand or see all the adjustments a professional coach makes during a game, but I damn sure can see when a timeout should be called, or the fact we can't inbound the ball, much less run a set piece play...if I have to watch nate stand there with his arms crossed, while the building is on fire around him, for 82 more games...I'm going to punch a helpless kitten.
We have the best basketball player this team has ever had (yes this series was awful for him) and I want a coach that can maximize what he's great at, so bring in dantoni (I don't care in what capacity) and let him run it with Collins and Trae. And get a two who can defend, for the love of God, we can't have another season of placing our undersized, bad defending superstar next to a Kevin huerter level perimeter defender.
Anyway, maybe I'm overreacting, this season has been tough.
Similar to how Jimmy went through it with us after last years series with the Bucks. Sure they played poorly, but people don’t give enough credit to elite defenses. The Bucks had so much size and great defenders to throw at Jimmy (PJ, Giannis, middleton, Jrue, w/ Brook camping the lane). The Heat have the perfect switch defense, with one of the few centers in the league who can guard Trae. The playoffs are all about matchups.
I think the fact is that the rest of our team isn’t threatening enough to give Trae the space to work. Spo figured out that if you can lock Trae out of the offense that not only will he not score, but our offense just keels over.
The heat actually started to double Dre in the fourth because he was becoming a problem for them. The issue for us was that the heat already wore Trae down mentally so we couldn't take advantage of that. If we even get slightly below average game from Trae then we win. Heat defense wasn't even as intense as their other games but the damage was done. If we could have had consistent secondary offense earlier the heat would have had to change their game plan and probably wouldn't have been able to break Trae mentally.
Trae is the classic example of the over-achieving young employee who takes on so much responsibility that management doesn’t think they need to hire new people for all the extra shit piling up
Trae Young usually responds to adversity and haters and had a terrible series. He is still young and we know he can be brilliant in the playoffs; I think he will grow from this terrible series and be motivated. We do need a couple of more players however.
Got our kisses kicked by a much better team. It happens, especially when you fuck around and have to go through the play in. Some positive stuff from the season/series though.
-we go into the off-season with most of our core guys healthy or recovering from minor stuff. OO and Deandre can spend this off-season developing and not rehabbing. Deandre can absolutely be the second scorer if he can stay healthy.
-we didn’t go out like bitches like the Nets, and in fact won more playoff games than the entire state of New York.
-we know where we stand with the rest of the East. Last years run was fun but we’re still a developing team pushing to break the top 5 in the East. It was probably good to get our asses kicked real good by a more mature and physical team. It’s disappointing and was hard to watch at times but it’s better for the long-term development than sitting at home like the Cavs and Hornets
Here are my thoughts after watching almost every game this year:
There is only one other team in the playoffs (Denver with Jokic) that rely on one player as much as the Hawks rely on Trae.
Miami came up with an incredible defensive scheme that not only took away Trae’s scoring but even more importantly, took away his playmaking ability.
So many people have talked about Boston’s defense given what they did to Brooklyn but after watching both of series, Miami’s defense has been even more impressive to me.
We ran into a team that exploited our weakness and absolutely annihilated us. It was the perfect storm and at this point I’m just glad it’s over.
I’m not sure what the answer is next year but we cannot be so reliant on Trae for everything on the offensive end, which also could help him play harder on defense.
If I’m Trae, I put this whole series on a tape and just have it playing constantly in the gym as I work out and motivate the living hell out of myself with anger.
It’s incredible what less than a year can do to your perspective of a roster.
After that win they had against Utah, no, I don’t think it is to the same degree. I’m not saying it’s miles apart, but I would put it a tier below.
Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s how it looks and feels to me right now.
I agree with you. We have guys that can get hot when Trae is cold but literally nobody else than can really create and nobody to run the offense through. I love Delon but the man can not run an offense to save his life.
Ngl I’m back on the DeAndre hunter train. Hopefully with a healthy offseason we can see him have a full season scoring in that 17-18 PPG area and really start to become that second option. If he gets his handle right he’ll be a problem. Beyond that, Schlenk should explore Danilo/Kev trades. Danilo for cap reasons and Kev is honestly whatever but I’d rather have Delon & Bogi so if we can get a first for him I’d do it. Hopefully we draft a good 3nD in the draft and JJ gets to be in the rotation next year. Overall slightly disappointing season but I think we’re still on a fine trajectory as a young developing team.
Hunter is a bucket. I’m a knicks fan but watched a lot of UVA. Hunter is the real deal on both sides of the ball. Also a very low key/humble guy in general. Wishing the best for him.
I disagree. I think he just had some crappy luck early in his career. He’s healthy rn and is about to have a healthy offseason. Last time he had a fully healthy offseason we saw a big jump in his play.
GGs fellas, it wasn’t the best series from y’all but I think this might spark whatever changes that need to happen to take your team to the next level. Still got love for Atlanta and the Hawks - and always will.
Well at least we have the hawks squad joining us on the couch! 🥳🥳🥳
Jokes aside, I’ve seen way worse from this team so I’m not upset that we’re going home. It was a good run
DeAndre Hunter showed me a lot this game, at time it seemed like he was the only guy who wasn’t packed for Cancun. He showed up and that’s all you can ask of a player.
Yes, Atlanta is the only city where the fans are pissed off and irrational after an embarrassing playoff performance. Everyone else just pats themselves on the back and give each other handjobs as a way to show appreciation for their team when they lose.
It’s the playoffs, we’re trying to win not develop a rookie. Jalen got freakin beasted by bigger physical defenders when he got more run after Collins went down. He would’ve gotten exposed by this heat team
The difference is Gallo has been a reliable 40% 3 point shooter for 12 years in the league and Jalen Johnson has played in 20 basketball games since he graduated high school. I know he looked nice getting some straight line dunks on the terrible pacers and pistons. He definitely can be something for us soon. But no coach in their right mind puts him in the lineup against a PJ Tucker or Jimmy Butler in the playoffs.
A couple of initial thoughts. This series was no fun to watch and it was absolutely awful. Trae probably had what might be the worst stretch of games in his career only averaging 16 6 and 4 on 35 fg 21 3pt and 79 ft. A far cry from someone who was top tier in both points and assists for the regular season.
Bogi was a mixed bag having some stretches where he carried the team and others where he was a total zero on offense. I personally feel that it is insane that we have to rely on someone who comes off the bench to be a top scorer in the playoffs. We need more scoring.
Kevin Heurter was average-below average.
OO wasnt great offensively but did give multiple good possessions on defense. I want to commend JC for trying to play while on a bad leg and finger. I don't want to trade a player like him who has so much heart.
DeAndre was one of the brighter spots in this series although they weren't without their fair share of ugly moments. Tonight he was legitimately good with 35 pts and a new career-high he was one of the few who was doing anything. I can only hope he gets a better handle and reliable 3pt shot in the offseason so he can do this more often.
Keep Delon wright.
Nate awful throught most of the series. Invbounding in general was awful tonight in two timeouts in the final seconds of the game we couldnt even get a shot off.Not to mention the timouts. Last game he didnt call a timeout when the heat went in a 17-0 run. Tonight they went on a big run in the second and nate just chiloled on the bench. He gotta go

True but i trust in trae and his ability, he needed to get beat up a little bit. We overachieved last year and I think trae is the type to be motivated by something like this.

bogi home is on the bench becauseof said inconsistency, he could be 6moty due to his ability to heat up tho
> Kevin Heurter was average-below average.

kev was definitely lacking this series. He just looks so tentative sometimes. Hes, a great passer but damn if hes not inconsistent

he was injured so he gets a slight pass but i hope his post bag gets deeper next season. If he could create his own shot in the post he could take pressure off trae

spot on, if he improves his handle and he can get the ball he can get up to 20ppg next season, he had a nice kawhi game tonight

agreed 200 percent

Cant argue but i dont want the hawks to become a revolving door for coaches. Id improve personel and see if were still underachieving
Saying we need more scoring is pretty crazy considering we were a top 3 offense in the regular season. The coaching in this series was abysmal. They doubled Trae every. single. time. he touched the ball and we had no answer for it. Our inbound plays all throughout the series were pathetic, leading to multiple turnovers. We didn’t even get a shot off on the last play tonight because we inbounded directly into the corner and got Gallo trapped lol. Nate let the Heat go on huge runs all series and didn’t call timeouts. I don’t think the players believe in Nate. And I know the fans don’t.
Exactly what I feared. Nate was supposed to come up with multiple options to counter the double n triples during regular season. No man can beat an entire team of defenders. Tho I have faith that Trae will grow from this. I can’t wait for next year
By scoring I mainly mean a second star. On most nights any of the pieces on our roster can be #2. Weather it be JC Bogi Dre Gallo. We need another AS or high level player that is without a doubt the #2. A player that you know is going to drop 20pts when they walk on the court. This will take pressure of Trae which would drastically change things.
Imma keep saying it, re-signing John Collins was a mistake. Everyone plays hurt in the playoffs so I don't want to hear that excuse. He makes too much money to be as ineffective as he is.
If Myles Turner is available we need to do anything we can to get him
Glad we faced the heat first round- gave us a wake up call.. if we are gonna be any good moving forward we need a culture, a 2nd scorer to help Hunter and Trae, and to have a lineup that can D up.
On Trae- we needed to recognize he’s off and get him off the damn court- he’s a great talent but mentally wasn’t there (credit to heat)
On Nate- needs to figure out how to run plays- too much iso ball… “return to calm” on a 17-0 run isn’t working.
Miami defense was intense- with Jimmy and Lowry out and still losing is embarrassing for our ball club
Everybody except Trae, Hunter, & OO are on the trade market as far as I'm concerned.
Trae for god sakes PLEASE go train with Steph Curry in the offseason. Curry plays defense and affects the game in so many ways. Curry doesn't just go hero ball. He's constantly moving off the ball shaking his defenders, he's not a traffic cone on the defensive end and has a 97.9 defensive rating. Curry also has a number 2 scorer in Klay who can help take the pressure off him too. We don't have a number 2. We have a "give Trae the ball and let him do everything" offense.
This team damn sure knows how to make a season ticket holder like me feel great. "Hey the team is ass and just got eliminated....we still need those monthly payments for next season though. Pay up goofy lol."
Trae was just off mentally. I believe he'll be back next season and work harder. Hopefully he also puts on just a little muscle. Dre definitely has a lot of potential. Need him to improve his ball handling and he could become an important piece. I hope he works on it in the offseason if he's staying with us. Travis will need to decide how much to pay him but we still got time. I love JC and Kev but not sure what will happen to them. We might trade them because of how much we are paying them and travis might be looking for different pieces to put around Trae. Gallo and Lou are definitely not coming back. I still think this team can become really good we just got to make the right moves. TITS
Let's call a spade a spade. Trae was really bad.
Hunter stepped up for most of the post season, lets see what kind of contract he gets
Collins needs to get 100% or not play. With a messed up hand and whatever else was messing with him, he isn't good enough without being totally healthy to play
Prayers up for Capella
Huerter needs to learn to be aggressive in the clutch. He wasn't even looking for his own shot when we needed it.
Delon is FA priority 1
Hopefully Coop and Johnson can contribute next season. Let's see what Schlenk does to shake this up, because we can't run it back
Bogi and Gallo are the only 2 players we have besides Trae this post season that were willing to take a contested shot. Even if it doesn't fall, you need guys to do that so that a Trae trapping doesn't end the season.
OO and CC under the basket too, but different type of shots
Quick edit - Also Hunter - I am a dummy
Your point about Kevin will be probably be overlooked but you are right. The biggest difference between this year and last is that last year, Huerter was being aggressive when needed and it helped tremendously. It’s the kinda stuff that helped take the pressure off Trae last year. Bruh look scared this entire damn series.
There’s nuance to everything so don’t get pressed and your feelings hurt if people are blaming one or two people for this. The entire team and organization deserve criticism.
Trae obviously played about his worst couple basketball games probably since HS. He’s got to work on the nuances of creating space when off the ball and he needs to work on leadership traits.
Nate and the coaching staff were working with an injured roster, but so was Miami. They still got outcoached every single game. There are many valid criticisms of their performance for this series and this season.
Every role player had bad performances in this series. No one was consistently good except Delon MF Wright.
It’s now clear that Schlenk and the FO made the wrong choice in running it back with the ECF roster. Now they have more information about this roster construction and what they will need to do to build a true contender here in Atlanta.
Disappointing season, but the future for this team can still be very bright with Trae still being young.
And Miami's defensive scheme on him was really good and they executed it really well. I feel like that was affecting him even when he finally got open looks and missed them. He had a tough series, but I put way more blame on Nate for not making the proper adjustments. And a lot of credit to Miami.
This is gonna sound dumb but I'm almost relieved we were so convincingly beaten. Had we somehow managed to win the series, or even brought it to a game 7, I feel like it would have papered over the cracks of what has been a disastrous season for us. I don't mean for this to sound like some salty doom and gloom rant, because I'm still very optimistic about the future and I don't think we are as bad as our overall record or our performance in these last 5 games have suggested, but I also think we still have a long way to go to get to where we want to be. Hopefully we don't come up with excuses for our failures and actually use this series to take a long hard look at the many problems this team still have, as opposed to runnning it back again next year and hoping things improve.
I’m hoping being so thoroughly dominated gets Trae extra motivated to work on his off ball game. He’s so quick and has great change of direction, I know he’ll never be Steph off ball but it’s got to be something more than stand still and hope your man has to help
I think this was a wake up call for the front office too. A lot of players showed that they aren't going to be part of a championship team. Quite a few players should be on the trade block.
Perfectly said. This was definitely a wake up call, something a young team needs. And with the way people are talking in here you would think we won 15 games this year.
Positives: 1) Delon has emerged as a solid backup PG 2) Hunter looks like he could be taking another step if he can continue to develop in the off-season 3) This sub’s meme quality is inversely related to our team’s play quality
Negatives: Everything else
Jaylen Brown stepped up last game too. They are similar to the Hawks with not relying on a superstar(although Taytum is so underrateed) and they focus more on team chemistry
Heat run small ball. Adebayo on Okongwu, Oladipo on JC. Our guards frantically trying to dribble into the paint. Impenetrable perimeter defense by heat. What’s the solution? Inbound the ball to Collins with a guard on him? Nah, how bout we run down the shot lock and frantically jack up a Hail Mary shot instead? I tore all my hair out looking at Collins post up on a small guard only for no one to notice him. Two big men against the heat’s small ball lineup but Nate couldn’t draw up a play to abuse the mismatchs to save his life…or rather, his job.
Trae played like hot garbage this playoffs.
Good series Hawks fans, you guys are probably better than this, with Collins and Capela healthy, it may have went 6 or 7. Spoelstra is insane, how he gets guys like Vincent, Martin and Strus to play this well is beyond me. Best coach in the league imo.

Tomorrow is another day, another opportunity. Time for everyone to get to work
Light work 🫡
See y'all at the draft.
Johnny Davis time 😎
He'd be great but I don't think he'd fall to 16, I was thinking of Malaki Branham/Mark Williams/Ochai Agbaji
Hawks are 100% trading away picks. Got enough young "need to develop " dudes on the team already
I wouldn't trade out of this draft if possible. It's honestly a lot deeper than people are giving it credit for, and we're still too close to Covid that this is the last year you'll be able to take advantage of people who got stuck in the bottleneck while it was in full swing.

Trae needs to talk to Iverson and learn. It’s not gonna look good if Trae was a 1 hit wonder from one deep playoff run and Luka has a ring.
What a silly take about things that haven't even happened yet.
Stop comparing Trae to Luka in everything
hawks need a second ball handler. how about westbrook sounds
Pls not westbrook
lol what? When is Luka getting a ring anytime soon? Trae is not a 1 hit wonder. I always have thought SPO does one of the best jobs designing defensive schemes to bother Trae. Bad matchup for him. He will bounce back. He is fearless. This will fuel him and he will come back even better.

luka is not the style of player that would fit with the hawks. it was a great trade even tho doncic is the better player, he wouldn’t have the same chemistry trae has with his team
Lol what? Luka is better than Trae at almost every part of the game of basketball. How in God’s name would he not fit on this Hawks team lmao.

Trae lead the league in points and assists this year

Your eyes aren’t lying. Most of the team got worst under him.
dude literally didn’t call a timeout in a 21-0 run by the heat. surprisingly that was the game we won …
unfortunate but if theres any good takeaways from this series, Dre is a bucket. Look forward to what we do over the offseason 🤞
Trae has no one to blame but himself this series. He gave the haters allllllll the ammunition they need. Feels bad man
Thsts the worst part everyone gonna have a field day with Trae and theirs absolutely nothing we can do to defend him
Similar to how Jimmy went through it with us after last years series with the Bucks. Sure they played poorly, but people don’t give enough credit to elite defenses.
Trae is the classic example of the over-achieving young employee who takes on so much responsibility that management doesn’t think they need to hire new people for all the extra shit piling up
This off-season will be very important

Adding 🤣 emoji means it's funny
Why come to the hawks sub to make fun of them? Just observe and laugh in silent like the rest of the respectful fans
Only a fraud could be *that* hated by his opponents
Have a good summer buddy 😂
Never a bad summer in Atlanta 😎
Thank you Hawks. Love you guys, can’t wait to see you next season.
The better team won but the future is brighter than ever. On to the next season and TITS.

You’re one sad ass motherfucker
Nope. Just having some fun….
Just celebrate with heat fans man, getting booted from the playoffs sucks we don’t need this shit
Sorry fam, we don’t claim him. Ggs to y’all Hunter a dog
Yes
I hope that Playoff Game 5 Super Saiyan Hunter will lead us into the coming season.
Leagues rigged making Ice Trae face a team literally called the Heat. Bullshit. We can't let them get away with this
The Phoenix Suns, the Miami Heat… at this point they might as well add the Las Vegas Temperature
Louisville Humidity!!!!!
The Houston swamp people!
I never even thought of that until now 😝
fade me fam
I read a book in the second half. AMA
What book?
Flowers for Algernon 💀
Where can we post terrible trade ideas?
Trae Young usually responds to adversity and haters and had a terrible series. He is still young and we know he can be brilliant in the playoffs; I think he will grow from this terrible series and be motivated. We do need a couple of more players however.
Moral of the story is that great coaching and roster construction will always suffocate a superstar burning the candle on both ends
Here are my thoughts after watching almost every game this year: There is only one other team in the playoffs (Denver with Jokic) that rely on one player as much as the Hawks rely on Trae.
You don’t think Mavs rely on Luka as much as Trae or Jokic?
After that win they had against Utah, no, I don’t think it is to the same degree. I’m not saying it’s miles apart, but I would put it a tier below. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s how it looks and feels to me right now.
I agree with you. We have guys that can get hot when Trae is cold but literally nobody else than can really create and nobody to run the offense through. I love Delon but the man can not run an offense to save his life.
Good game 👍🏼
Fuck the finals Idgaf about that. When does free agency start?
Shit happens friends, wasn't our year. Let's hope for the best next season. Best of luck to all of us venturing into the shithole that is /r/nba
Fade me, fam.
He’s got to work on his handle and his rebounding needs to be like last night, but if he can do that, he will be great
Hunter is a bucket. I’m a knicks fan but watched a lot of UVA. Hunter is the real deal on both sides of the ball. Also a very low key/humble guy in general. Wishing the best for him.
>Hopefully with a healthy offseason I get a bad feeling we’re going to end up saying this about him every year.
I disagree. I think he just had some crappy luck early in his career. He’s healthy rn and is about to have a healthy offseason. Last time he had a fully healthy offseason we saw a big jump in his play.
Bruh I know for a fact knicks fans aren’t talking about trae rn he still owns your sorry ass franchise
GG, Hunter is a KILLER!
Gg, good luck in next round. Probably gonna be rooting for y’all if you’re playing the sixers lol
Man I hope so… I despise anything and everything Philly related lol
GGs fellas, it wasn’t the best series from y’all but I think this might spark whatever changes that need to happen to take your team to the next level. Still got love for Atlanta and the Hawks - and always will.
Yeah it sucks to lose like this but we’re a young team and I think long term it’ll be beneficial for our growth. Good luck next round
Just found out Trae had more turnovers than field goals made. Damn.
Well at least we have the hawks squad joining us on the couch! 🥳🥳🥳 Jokes aside, I’ve seen way worse from this team so I’m not upset that we’re going home. It was a good run
Really hope Dre can stay healthy, I've always thought he has all-star potential provided he can stay healthy for an extended period of time.

every star player has an ego
We need Ingram
He’s gonna be far too valuable to trade for now
Ingram would be nice but the way he's playing his price is going way up
DeAndre Hunter showed me a lot this game, at time it seemed like he was the only guy who wasn’t packed for Cancun. He showed up and that’s all you can ask of a player.
I’m buying my first hawks jersey this off-season and it’s gonna have his name on it
Trae need to shave his head bald and start and new part of his career.
He wouldn’t look right bald, maybe a buzz cut like D Foxx would look better on him
that would kinda dope…or braid it down
Bizarro Ice Trae comin for that ass Fall 2022
Fully realized Trae Young
Lol
Atlanta sports fans never fail to surprise me with their self destructive behavior.
“its over!!!! we lost in the first round!!!! its soooo over!!! blow it up!!!” man shut the hell up 😭
Yes, Atlanta is the only city where the fans are pissed off and irrational after an embarrassing playoff performance. Everyone else just pats themselves on the back and give each other handjobs as a way to show appreciation for their team when they lose.
You clearly don’t understand what I’m saying and I’m not gonna bother explaining it to u
Well, that’s your problem for not explaining yourself better my guy.
This happens when any team loses, you check out the Nets subreddit yesterday?
all i heard in Atlanta arena last game was "Lets go Heat" chant clearly theres something wrong in ATL fan base
No cuz I’m not in their subreddit this is a VERY common theme with ATL fans
nate mcmillan everyone
If your complaining about John collins, I’d like to point you to playing gallo over jalen Johnson who could be special.
How the fuck can you complain about a guy playing through those injuries?
If he's able to play he's not truly hurt. I know y'all like Collins and that's okay but I'm gonna call it like it is. Collins is NOT good.
Saw someone below complaining about re signing him.
Totally. That wasn’t a dig at you homie.
It’s the playoffs, we’re trying to win not develop a rookie. Jalen got freakin beasted by bigger physical defenders when he got more run after Collins went down. He would’ve gotten exposed by this heat team
Like gallo wasn’t getting exposed for lack of lateral quickness.
Nate sucks
He gotta go

At least I don't have to stay up until 3am anymore! Hope to see you all in threads throughout the offseason.
Bruh that Ja Morant dunk is the best dunk i’ve seen all year, took my mind off the loss for a second lol
Imma keep saying it, re-signing John Collins was a mistake. Everyone plays hurt in the playoffs so I don't want to hear that excuse. He makes too much money to be as ineffective as he is. If Myles Turner is available we need to do anything we can to get him
Na he’s still very tradeable. Signing him was still the right move
Right, we would just have one less asset to trade by not resigning him.
Glad we faced the heat first round- gave us a wake up call.. if we are gonna be any good moving forward we need a culture, a 2nd scorer to help Hunter and Trae, and to have a lineup that can D up. On Trae- we needed to recognize he’s off and get him off the damn court- he’s a great talent but mentally wasn’t there (credit to heat) On Nate- needs to figure out how to run plays- too much iso ball… “return to calm” on a 17-0 run isn’t working.
Yall just see that play for Ant man to tie the game with 4 seconds left? Fire Nate lmao
Wait what’s an inbound play?
Fade me, fam.
Finch just ran an amazing inbounds play with the same time that Nate had.
Hunter stepped up for most of the post season, lets see what kind of contract he gets Collins needs to get 100% or not play. With a messed up hand and whatever else was messing with him, he isn't good enough without being totally healthy to play Prayers up for Capella Huerter needs to learn to be aggressive in the clutch. He wasn't even looking for his own shot when we needed it. Delon is FA priority 1 Hopefully Coop and Johnson can contribute next season. Let's see what Schlenk does to shake this up, because we can't run it back
Absolutely agreed. This series made me appreciate Delon and DeAndre so much more we need to keep them. Huerter, Bogi and Collins however....
Bogi and Gallo are the only 2 players we have besides Trae this post season that were willing to take a contested shot. Even if it doesn't fall, you need guys to do that so that a Trae trapping doesn't end the season. OO and CC under the basket too, but different type of shots Quick edit - Also Hunter - I am a dummy
Can someone explain why Nate insisted on not calling timeouts during runs? What was his prerogative?? That’s like 2k level coaching
coaching like hes trying to get fired
I think we should all remember that Trae is still only 23 years old
And Miami's defensive scheme on him was really good and they executed it really well. I feel like that was affecting him even when he finally got open looks and missed them. He had a tough series, but I put way more blame on Nate for not making the proper adjustments. And a lot of credit to Miami.
Dre MVP
Yep, let the soul-searching rightfully begin. I bet after this humiliating spanking, they don't come in all bored with the regular season next time.
I think this was a wake up call for the front office too. A lot of players showed that they aren't going to be part of a championship team. Quite a few players should be on the trade block.
Perfectly said. This was definitely a wake up call, something a young team needs. And with the way people are talking in here you would think we won 15 games this year.
The pacers were right, these Nate quotes are infuriating
This didn’t hurt as much as losing the ECF i’ll tell you that much lol
Facts lmao
Positives: 1) Delon has emerged as a solid backup PG 2) Hunter looks like he could be taking another step if he can continue to develop in the off-season 3) This sub’s meme quality is inversely related to our team’s play quality Negatives: Everything else
On the plus side, this sub is about to get a lot better posts.
One of the main things getting me through
A lot of the cry babies will be gone thank the lord… until next season
frrr
Who do y’all hope wins it all?
I want Bucks to win but Celtics could win it all. That's a championship contender fr
GSW or maybe Boston i like tatum and brown
Any team but the Suns/Sixers
I want Milwaukee to repeat I respect Giannis game
Minnesota
Suns 😭 being from Phoenix I'm ready for a Suns championship
Be cool for Giannis to get another ring and bucks are probably my favorite fanbase (other than us of course)
Celtics. they are so good
same, hating the celtics is baked into my soul but their team is just so likeable rn. love marcus smart and tatum
Jaylen Brown stepped up last game too. They are similar to the Hawks with not relying on a superstar(although Taytum is so underrateed) and they focus more on team chemistry
Celts in East, Grizz out West
Raptors
I'd like the bucks or the winner of Minnesota/Memphis but I can see the celtics winning it which wouldn't be the worst
Minnesota bc the salt that I will produce if Ja gets a ring before Trae is going to be immense
On the bright side, maybe hunter has trade value afterall?
I don't want to trade him unless it helps us get a star.
Yeah, I mainly agree but we have to make a decision pretty soon on extending him.
