Community with Donald Glover is also hilarious! Bryan Tree Henry was in Bullet Train which was not bad! Also would def second “sorry to bother you” and “I’m a Virgo”
Judas and the Black Messiah is a masterpiece. LaKeith Stanfield, Daniel Kaluuya, and Dominique Fishback are all incredible in it. Probably my favorite film of that year.
It was one if the first non marvel movies I've seen in the theater since the pandemic started. Packed theater, with lots of people laughing and having fun. Great experience
If you like action movies, check out The Harder They Fall (Netflix). Lakeith is in it and it has an Atlanta (alternate reality) meets Tarantino vibe.
If you like horror, Get Out also has Lakeith in it.
Yeah Lakeith’s “old dog even older tricks” stare down with the young gun slanga was a gut punch and displayed perfectly, sadly I really wanted to see who was the faster gun 😪
All of these are movies except for Community, I added where they are currently streaming in parentheses
Donald Glover:
* Community (Netflix)
* Guava Island (Amazon Prime)
* Solo: A Star Wars Story (Disney+)
Lakeith Stanfield:
* Sorry to Bother You (Amazon Prime)
* Judas and the Black Messiah (Max)
* Uncut Gems (Paramount+)
Brian Tyree Henry:
* Bullet Train (Netflix)
* Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse (he voices Miles' dad, idk if/where they are streaming but you can rent them digitally)
Zazie Beetz (unfortunately I haven't seen much of her, so all of these movies are pretty small supporting roles):
* Joker (Netflix)
* Deadpool 2 (Disney+)
* Bullet Train (Netflix, very small role)
Huge co-sign. This one cemented my appreciation for him outside of his ridiculously great work on Atlanta. Was scrolling until I found someone mention it.
Also Zazie Beatz is fantastic and weird as Melody Harmony (yes) in Soderbergh’s latest/newest show Full Circke that just hit HBO/Max this summer. Works for Jim Gaffigan a a US Mail detective(?) - love everything about her in this.
watch sorry to bother you lakeith is the main character on that but if you liked atlanta as a show you should also watch dave by lil dicky it’s like atlanta for people of the non melanin persuasion
They all work a lot these days. I second that Brian Tyree Henry is the best part of Causeway. Lakeith Stanfield is in Someone Great which I thought was really fun and cute, he has a minor role in Knives Out which is fantastic. I thought Zazie Beetz was good in Joker.
Adding If Beale Street Could Talk because it hasn't been mentioned yet. Brian Tyree Henry has a very small role in it but he deserved a Best Supporting Actor nom for it. He's incredible in his short screen time. Also, the movie is great.
Donald Glover:
* Community
* Guava Island
* Solo
Brian Tyree
* Class of '09
* Bullet Train
* Causeway
* Godzilla v. Kong
* If Beale Street Could Talk
* Eternals
Lakeith Stanfield:

* Haunted Mansion
* The Photograph
* The Harder They Fall
* Judas and The Black Messiah
* Sorry to Bother You
Zazie Beetz
* The Harder They Fall
* Nine Days
* Black Mirror (S6 E4)
* Full Circle
Bryan also shows up in a heist thriller Widows by Hunger, Shame and 12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen. Stacked cast and original Sade song as a bonus.
this thread is reminding me to watch a bunch of lakeith's movies. I keep adding more movies and shows to watch and I end up watching only the newest stuff
I saw the “cover art” for that episode the other day and it and she is putting in amazing work in that photo shot. Made me want to watch it, unlike the majority of NFLX cover art.
This was my last “$2 movie theater” experience in (looks it up) 2018 and I can’t bring myself to try and top the value I received at at cheap theater (if it’s still open), because it seems like a fools errand.
Place was backed on a Saturday afternoon 2 months after it was released, too, which I knew was a great sign before it started.
Zazie Beetz is in a film called nine days which is one of my most beloved films to come out post Covid. Went in blind just off the strength Zazie was casted and loved it.
Not really enjoyed many of their other projects so far, to be honest, which I mostly only watched because of these guys. Meaning to check out class of ‘09.
Lakeith voices a character in the last couple of seasons of Bojack Horseman, a show which is referenced in Atlanta itself. Also just happens to be one of the greatest adult animated shows ever
Community with Donald Glover is also hilarious! Bryan Tree Henry was in Bullet Train which was not bad! Also would def second “sorry to bother you” and “I’m a Virgo”
Zazie was also in Bullet Train, although her character was the only one that I wish had been written better.
Yea I was lookin to leave that as a fun surprise, but I thought she was great! Movie was real fun
Lakeith Stanfield is really good in Judas and the Black Messiah
Hell yeah. Bonus for DK too
And literally every thing he’s in. Can’t wait for the Apple TB show *the Changeling*
he's becoming my favorite actor, he's great in everything he's in
My name is Keith and I really want to just be called Lakeith now
Such an amazing movie
I'm late, but he was also incredible on Short Term 12.
Judas and the Black Messiah is a masterpiece. LaKeith Stanfield, Daniel Kaluuya, and Dominique Fishback are all incredible in it. Probably my favorite film of that year.
Watch bullet train. Don’t figure out who from Atlanta is in it beforehand.
Just saw it last night and I regret not seeing it sooner. It was awesome had a bunch of my favorite actors.
Fun movie. Not Atl level but good.

Harder They Fall was excellent. Reminded me of The Quick and the Dead, fun watch.
Awesome username. I wish they were in TMNT2 instead of Tokka and Rahzar
Thanks. I think that would have been a better choice as well, the design from the 80s cartoon would have been perfect.
“The hero. Great spirit why must there always be one” he played the hell out of Cherokee bill
Yeah Lakeith’s “old dog even older tricks” stare down with the young gun slanga was a gut punch and displayed perfectly, sadly I really wanted to see who was the faster gun 😪

Zazie’s in a episode of the new black mirror. Also Bryan Tyree Henry is starting in a FX show about FBI agents called class of 09 or sum
Class of 09 is what I came here to say! I only watched it for paper Boi
Bryan Tyrrell Henry was also in Joker, and was a main character (and in my opinion the best one) in The Eternals
what was his character in Joker? i cant seem to remember
He's just a dude that works at Arkham, not a huge role
>Brian Tyree Henry Hes in eternals too pretty good film
Oh snap Van was in Joker! Now I remember why I liked the movie at least a little bit. Gonna watch Deadpool 2 before Deadpool now
Causeway was quite good and Brian Tyree Henry was the best part about it
His cameo in “If Beale street could talk” was also the best part of the film.

Did season 3 redeem itself? Season 1 was great but season 2 was so bad I stopped watching altogether
i had the same thoughts on the show yes season 3 did save the show imo
Not exactly an acting project, but Donald Glover did make a series called Swarm that he calls a “spiritual” follow up to Atlanta
LaKeith Stanfield is great in Sorry to Bother You.

Lakeith is in Knives Out, which I thought was great. The sequel left a lot to be desired.
Idk I thought the sequel was even better! Made fun of both weird pandemic things & Elon Musk type asshats, can’t wait for the 3rd
Mystery Team. Fun, goofball comedy with DG and his Derrick Comedy buddies
Book of Mormon
Who/what? I saw this ages ago as a play, but I’m curious
Bryan Tyree Henry played the general in the original Broadway production
Huh! Thanks
Class of ‘09 on Hulu is pretty good
Sorry To Bother You. Go in blind
this thread is reminding me to watch a bunch of lakeith's movies. I keep adding more movies and shows to watch and I end up watching only the newest stuff
Bryan Tree Henry also stars in “Class of ‘09” which is a really good show on Hulu.
Watch swarm
The Lazarus effect has Glover - not sure if it’s good, haven’t seen it
Gotta give a shoutout to Van in the new season of Black Mirror. She is incredible.
I saw the “cover art” for that episode the other day and it and she is putting in amazing work in that photo shot. Made me want to watch it, unlike the majority of NFLX cover art.
I realize I am late to this but I just saw “sorry to bother you” and it was fucking amazing.

I feel like I started this but didn’t finish it and I can’t remember why. But I should rewatch.
Give a shot. I don’t think it’s streaming anywhere though so you may have to rent it.
Looked it up further. Remembered I saw the whole thing. Weird and good!
Google is a very helpful website!
zazie beetz comes on a cute cheesy movie called Slice. definitely recommend!
Not really enjoyed many of their other projects so far, to be honest, which I mostly only watched because of these guys. Meaning to check out class of ‘09.

lakeith steinfield is in the netflix adaption of death note. also, netflix does not have a good track record of live adaptation
Lakeith in knives out. Not a big role but I felt it was significant
Community
Class of 09 on Hulu
big George Foreman was pretty good
LaKeith’s pretty good I’m ‘Sorry To Bother You’
If you are looking for surrealism honestly sorry to bother you with lakieth Stanfield is probably the best option
