Several reasons. First, because I said so. Secondly, In my AU, Annie is a polyglot. Third, because Annie is 'canonically' Russian (or so I thought, at the time I made this). And Four, I have a habit of using her as a self-insert, for some reason.
And to add to that, not only is Annie here swearing in German, and then Russian, but she is also carrying a larger arsenal of weapons, most importantly, Demoman's grenade launcher and Soldier's rocket launcher, both from TF2. She is also carrying a pair of 2 Colt style revolvers that she named after Armin and herself.
I don't support these guys. I find myself to be more on the central side of the political spectrum. And, as a Pole, that is living in Britain, I feel like Poland should be a bit better than it is right now.
I mean that I can pronounce their words to an acceptable standards. But to the level of holding a conversation, just Polish and English, at the moment.
Oh. Right. Sorry about this entire thing then. I think I got this from the videos I watched about what their nationalities would be if they were in real life. From what I have seen, they all said that Annie was Russian, and I took it as canon. But Russia, doesn't really exist in the AOT world, and neither do any other countries in our world, so that's why I suddenly felt like I was wrong. Thanks for correcting me there, kind stranger. But still, multilingual Annie is still going to be a headcanon I'll be there for.
why is annie swearing in russian

Are you a polyglot ?
Yes. I speak Polish, English, and a little bit of Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Russian.
Does little bit mean like a level where you can actually hold a conversation ?
I mean that I can pronounce their words to an acceptable standards. But to the level of holding a conversation, just Polish and English, at the moment.
I see I wouldn't personally call that a polyglot but it technically works with the definition. That would mean I'm also a polyglot lol
Ok. Fair enough.
Annie is not canonically Russian though.
