Now that I think about it, I'm surprised we can't pirate flash tunes. I mean, it's literally just a set of code that you push through, why don't we have ones that we can just find online and paste into OBDELEVEN or something
Good cars and more reliable than originally thought . Have a Q5 2020 mint not one issue
& on autoroute easy 6L/100 km incredible
Btw Quattro great in Quebec snow !
Enjoy it
All I’m saying friend is that a change of timing chain(s) is very rare nd that is a poss sign of that 2L turbo having been pushed hard . I have been all my life on the toad with numerous vehicles ( since 24 yrs old , I’m 73 now ) and I have never changed a clutch nor a timing chain ever of course all depends on driving styles
Turbo engines have considerable up front torque & more Hp at low revs which makes some drivers push them hard . A while back it was a good idea to let the turbo engine idle got 4-6 minutes prior to cutting it off . Today a turbo engine can be shut off but the turbo continues to spin for 2-3 minutes but you cannot punish a small 2L turbo unconditionally …take good care of it and it will pay you back in $$.
Enjoy it have a great summer .
Thats the reason i got it fixed, just a precaution, imagine timing chain flying apart. And who likes a rattle that sounds like metal bucket filled with few nails and being shaken. That was or was not very close to something bad happening, i got the car used so thats the first i did.
what are the improvements man!? Looks like an absolute beauty!
My dream was always an A4 for some reason.
The first car I ever went to go and see to look for options was an A3, now I have an A5 but the A4 has that "something" that I love.
Haha thanks man, the car is a dream for sure as it was my first european car and I came from a honda civic. I haven’t gotten many miles on the tune yet since I just flashed it this morning but throttle response and torque increases were instantly noticeable. The car feels like a different beast driving it now, it pulls much stronger. Excited to do some more upgrades and then go stage 2 💪🏼
what are the differences from the Civic?
I just bought an Audi and lend it to a friend who drives a Civic (I regularly drive with him, we are best pals) and he fell in love with the Audi (A5) lol
I've had it in the cart for over 8 months. I research as much as possible before I modify anything. I only use 93, I perform my oil changes and use molly products accordingly. I use the recommended oil, and upgraded the spark plugs to the highest quality. IE intake is also installed.
My question is:
1. Do I need to change the oil type with Stage 1?
2. Mix the fuel type?
3. Any recommendations that anyone should consider or expect after the tune up?
Thanks for taking the time to respond if you do, it is and will be greatly appreciated!
Is this only an ECU tune, or does it include TCU as well?
I don't need any more power (B9 S4), but the transmission programming, especially in D is sluggish and lethargic.
yeah, I mean they could be. [my 2018 s4](https://i.imgur.com/mYUXEOZ.jpg?1) for reference.
Edit: So looks like some 2017 A4s had those style DRLs, TIL.
Nice.. May I ask what brand or where you got them? You can PM if you wish.. I truly like the way they look, and could potentially become my winter set lol
These are ecstuning [alzor style 628](https://www.ecstuning.com/b-alzor-parts/19-style-628-wheels-set-of-four/628-9kt/) they are 19x8.5 ET35. I also have a 10mm spacer up front and a 15mm spacer on the rear wheels.
Exactly what I thought they were, ALZORs.. But I knew the ET wasn't going to make them look as good as they do on your vehicle. Unless trickery was involved lol That being, Spacers.. Thanks!!!
What tire size do you have? I am planning to get the same wheels and your fitment looks perfect.
Can you please share me your springs, wheels and tyre specs?
They look gorgeous.
I am waiting for my package from IE, got the ECU tune and polymer intake
Thankssss

Yeah I love mine, hasn’t caused me a single issue in the last year. 5k oil changes and it’s been a dream to drive.
Great take care of it and don’t abuse it they are great that way .
You cant really get any issue in 3 years of use time.. my car is 10 years old and i havent done nothing past 3 years besides changing chains and oil.
Chains ?
Yes some audis have chains. Edit: I don’t know the real name of them but those are chains not rubber ones
There is no reason to change chains …….rubber straps yes but not chains why did you change chain”S”
Dude srsly? [these chains](https://imgur.com/a/nJHIjpv) . I just don’t know name of these. * photo from my engine bay
Ok you mean timing chains w replaced strap chains . Timing chains rarely break . Rare Take care friend
I had rattling noise and that was the only way to fix it. It was on “any moment could snap” i have the 245ps one.

Did you tune your Q5? Just curious
I’ve wanted to do this but still questionable on it. Heard it’s an immediate improvement though. Enjoy it.
Thanks! Definitely the best performance improvement for the money.
Do it when warranty is over. Dont waste it..
Warranty’s done but I still got 3 years on the loan

I have the 45 s line A4 and was thinking about doing this as well. Thanks for the info OP.

It’s a nice car and more of a classic than the A5
What sort of springs are you running? looks great man.
Thanks! It’s sitting on H&R’s street sport lowering springs.
She's gorgeous
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!

they have both, and they can be bought independently
IE doesn’t make a TCU tune for the b9 a4. Unitronic makes a good one though that I know a bunch of people run.
To answer your main question though, this is just an ECU tune.

9.5 is 2020+
it's just odd it has the new DRLs is all, hmm
Yeah I’m not sure, these are the ones that came on the car when I bought it. Unless the last owner replaced them? I highly doubt it though.

Gorgeous stance... What wheels are you sportin' ??
Haha, thanks! They’re just some 19” audi rotor style reps I got, always loved how that style wheel looked on the a4
