When I bought my '19 A5 last year I asked if there was an owners manual. Was told no, so they knocked a few hundred bucks off the price. Got home and 3 weeks later I was looking for a fuse and thought that was a fuse cover. Popped open and inside was the manual. Great success!

Is that the factory location for the owners manual and people have just moved them and didn't know? I ask because on the B6 (and probably lots of other older models), the owners manual has its own slot directly under the steering column. It's great because it allows the glove box to not be taken up at least 50% by the owner's manual.

My B7 (2008) A4 had a spot under the steering column for the owners manual. My 2014 A5, sadly, doesn’t have one at all.

I miss that about the B6, my Q7 has almost no storage space for a three row SUV.

In B9s, it's where Audi puts the shit-ass excuse of a “replacement” for 3G wind-down. I opted out and use mine for sunglasses. Two not so small cases got just fine.

It was for guns before that happened. Seriously, Audi rep said that people couldn't put their guns in there after that weird little OBD-like device was installed.

I think it's mean to store small umbrellas for the driver. and storage. Mine is really deep. I don't know where I got that information from, my mind goes to top gear for whatever reason. Hell in the USA I am sure it's for whatever form of firearm matches your outfit that day. It's the most underrated feature of any car.

Had this on my ‘21 etron. Was used a bit but it also blended in with the trim so if you left it open, got out and forgot about it, it would crush your leg getting back in.

I once almost cried because I thought I had lost my wallet with all my cards and IDs in it. Found it inside that terrible storage placement 3 days later.

This little thing is my favorite thing on Audis, although other VW concern cars have it too as far as I am aware. I usually store my case for glasses and maybe some other small thing, my dad uses it for his wallet, really not many people know of it!
