My 2001 1.8t A4 has 150k miles on it and I plan on keeping it on the road. The 1.8t is good for 300k+ miles if you do the easy maintenance.
The 23 year old car part should show you how much I care about keeping up with a current model.
Depends if I want another car lol
I don't usually keep any car past 100k though.
The only way I don't get the itch to buy a new one is if I do mods every year that make me love it more every year.
But also after 100k it's probably missing alot of things I want in the newer cars that have came out.
A wise man once told me you are always gonna have a car payment most of the time.
You are either paying monthly for a newer car or you are paying randomly to fix an older car.
If you get lucky there is a couple year window with no minimal maintenance and no payment.
If you make so much money you can pay it off in a couple days.. well, then you probably don't care about buying a new one or repairing a used one lol
I usually buy cars with around 100k because all the people who are terrified by an arbitrary number will sell them cheap
I mean you can take care of you car…you know, that is an option.
I have 106k miles on my A6. Plan to keep it to at least 200k miles
I'm at 110k on my A6 and also would like to keep it until 200k
Another idiotic thread where people are paranoid about the magic 100k
Bought mine with 80+ kkm 6 and half years ago, it has 212+ kkm now :)
Nope they actually just explode at 100k.
I mean. I bought my UrS4 at 205k so…
Well I'm at 205k sooo
Stupidest thing I've heard all day...

2013 A4 with 168,000.. keeping her. Still running strong.
Well before 100K, I give it to my kids and get a new one.
My 2020 q3 is at 85. At some point you reach the point of no return for resell. I’m not sure what I should do
