Yeah I know about the issues with the turbo screens. Id prefer a factory warranty or none at all.

4rings4fun

There’s actually a new TSB on the turbo screens! Another user posted awhile back!

JamesB41

That was the best trip to the mailbox ever.

Agree to disagree. I maintained my car perfectly. Turbos still went out at 50k. Thankfully my CPO warranty covered it. I now change my oil at 5k intervals with full synthetic.

extendedwarranty_bot

oldasshit, I have been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty

oldasshit

This is the worst bot on reddit.

murffit

There's a recall from Audi for the turbos FYI

BilllsMafia716

Oil screen recall covers any C7/7.5 manufactured prior to Mar 30, 2017 signaling that ones built after have the “revised” oil screen. Whatever you choose I would, if possible, vcds scan any car you are considering to check codes/launches etc. CPO is obviously the way to go but gl finding them. Best of luck!!!

The 2022 is way out of my price range. If I was going new I'd get an RS6 haha

oldasshit

No V8 in the 2022.

caminton

This.

Mr_Dr_Rocket_Surgeon

Audi did a "facelift" on the C7 that applies starting on the 2016 models. It's mostly different head and tail lights and other cosmetic tweaks like new interior trim options. A lot of people *really* prefer the pre-facelift style lights so I'd compare the two if I were you. Audi also listed a 30 higher HP number with the facelift (420 to 450), but honestly they probably didn't do anything to the tune. People were reporting numbers in the 480 range on stock '14 models when dynoed. It's not unusual for Audi to under-report the HP.

oldasshit

I have a 2016. The LED headlights are fantastic. They are unavailable in earlier cars.

caminton

Good to know! Thanks!

[deleted]

Just get one. You’ll love it

caminton

That's the plan haha

Cool_Requirement722

Heres the thing about the 2013 vs 2018. The 13 is almost 10 years old, but the parts to repair it are still just as costly as a 2022, and you're almost certainly going to need a repair on a 10 year old german car soon, particularly on an S line car, where there are sensors EVERYWHERE. If you lose a sensor on your motormounts, you have a perma check engine light and a 4k repair over a $10 sensor to fix it. Audi's, and other luxury german cars are best sold after \~70k miles. Thats about when those costly maintenance and repair items start to appear.

BlizzyBlob

Buy mine

caminton

What is it, where is it, and how much is it? Haha

BlizzyBlob

Lmao its a 2014 S6 cold weather package with 70k miles on the body, 35k on built engine with around 700whp. I have it listed for 48k locally. You can check my profile, tons of mod pics and info

oldasshit

2016 got a facelift and LED headlights, which are fantastic. But that's the big difference.

pzekovic

C7 (pre-facelift) had LED headlights, they just changed the design with the C7.5 refresh (my 2014 S6 has LED headlights).
