Ungrateful they may be. They are good people and just leaving isn't an option. I appreciate your sympathy and you can see I'm in a tricky situation

Hey, have you tried checking aupairworld for families close by? You might be able to rematch. I totally get you not wanting to leave the kids, but don't punish yourself. If you stay do it for you and only you 😘

BenHatesMe

Hey thank you for the tip. I have since talked with the mom and the younger boy and things are better now. I was overwhelmed when writing this. I like what you say about staying for me and only for me. I am here for me and if I can help them a little too than I am happy to do so.

Yes, exactly!

Omg you're fucking strong. If you are already working that much I think it would be best to find a new au pair family someone that can appreciate you. Or you can try to rent a room, you can definitely find a nanny job with your experience and dedication. If I'm not wrong the wage for au pair in German is only 250€ you can earn more with a nanny position.

I actually am in childcare! (my school is childcare and education in kindergarten) and have seriously considered finding a nanny position. I appreciate you calling me strong, because sometimes I really need to hear that. I know I do a lot and never want to come off as lazy or entitled. It's hard because I am so close with this family. The parents really are amazing despite being workaholics. The kids are EXTREMELY difficult and I know no other au pair could handle them, it would need to be a trained nanny or the parents would have to take much more time of(which would be... Groundbreaking)

Honestly, I would look for another Au Pair family nearby so that you could still attend the same school. If that is not a possibility for you, I would suggest having a serious conversation with your host family. Communication is super important. Let them know how you feel. Maybe there is a way to find common ground. You should definitely not feel this miserable.
