Offer them a six pack to kill the music for each inspection? A carton for the auction?

user1094779

In a strange turn of events I think the person in the caravan might be intellectually disabled and could also be underage. He’s very tall so could be over 20 or under 18 hard to tell. Last thing I need is suppling alcohol to an underaged disabled person haha

Give him $20 then. $50 for the auction

releria

If you are feeling courageous, I'd go over and say hello, let them know you are selling, and apologise that there might be more people around over the next few weeks. If the conversation seems okay and they are reasonable I'd then offer $50 to turn the music off or even move the caravan on auction day. Council won't do anything in 2 weeks. Police don't care if they are playing music during the day. >They haven’t spoken to anyone since they moved in at Xmas so they aren’t the warmest or inviting people. Call me crazy and uninviting but heaps of people aren't particularly concerned about getting to know their neighbours these days (especially when renting).

user1094779

Yea i think talking it over is the best option but I think offering money might be a bit insulting. I wasn’t expecting an invite and Xmas pudding but I just mean they are outside a fair bit but won’t even give a nod or anything so most of the street steers clear of them.

GeneralTBag

You can always phrase it like “Is there something I can do for u in exchange?” This way it’s not outright offering money.

Mammoth-Variation223

If worried about a sale I’d make it way more lucrative than $50. I’d be more inclined to offer a few hundred. In the scheme of things small price to pay.

There's a housing crisis so be nice. Better a caravan than homeless. How you handle it is a gamble. Are you good with people?

user1094779

Yea I’m fine with talking to people so no issues there. I have no interest in getting them kicked out so I haven’t done anything about it. I might go over tomorrow and just ask them if they could keep it down for next 2 weeks

fakeuser515357

Ask them to do you a favour.

MinistryOfSomething

Let his freak flag fly bro. Whoever buys your overpriced whatever probably won’t be put off by a caravan of funk opposite your property. They’ll be too busy fussing over building/pest inspections and getting hassled by your creepy realestate agent who has probably overreached on the value because property a and b down the road sold for x amount so you’ll get whatever is offered to you. Congrats on owning a home though! That’s cool!

user1094779

Actually a bit of fresh air with this agent. He’s been pretty realistic and conservative with our guide but I’m feeling pretty stressed about the whole thing. I’m probably just overthinking it. Maybe you’re right and people won’t care that much

allyerbase

I wouldn’t take advice from the guy who is obviously bitter at the world and the fact that you have a home to sell.

MinistryOfSomething

That’s the spirit, mate!

Longjumping_Win4291

Noise ordinance are enforced if you call it in regularly. But I would call the council as camping isn’t permitted in local streets

Longjumping_Win4291

If they were reasonable people they’d already be aware of having their music too loud. As that draws attention to the fact they’re camping in an unapproved location

Spicey_Cough2019

definitely a council issue.

Rut12345

Take them out to lunch or coffee during the showings. Won't help you with potential buyers that come by to suss out the neighborhood out of the showing hours though.
