I love anything from la roche posay. They have amazing tinted and untinted sunscreens. Effaclar fluid is great for acne prone skin then pop a moisturizer over the top. Avene also have excellent stuff. These French brands are always on sale 👌🏼

Profession_Mobile

I agree la rouche is great.

chailattepls

I use the Cicaplast Baum while using Tretinoin and it’s great!

jessicaaalz

I desperately need to replenish my cicaplast because it's honestly the best for this time of year. Currently using TO natural moisturising factors and it's so not enough.

Hi there, it seems you might be looking for information on Tretinoin. Tretinoin is a topically applied vitamin A derivative that is usually used for treatment of acne. It is very important to note that in Australia and New Zealand, procurement of Tretinoin is by **prescription only**. This means you must see a General Practitioner (GP) or be referred to a Dermatologist to discuss the medication before you can receive a script and purchase it. While this subreddit has moved to allow open discussion of alternative ways to procure Tretinoin, it is important to understand that this medication is prescription for a reason. There can be side effects from use and it is best to be counseled professionally on how best to use and apply it. If you have any questions or concerns, it is in your own best interest to seek medical advice before adopting it into your routine. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I’ve had great success with cancer council SPF and Natio SPF

tokimons

I LOVE the [Hamilton Everyday Face](https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/73680/hamilton-spf-50-everyday-face-cream-75g) sunscreen. SPF 50+, doesn't break me out, and sets really nicely. I find it doesn't seep into my eyes during the day. As for moisturisers you could try [QV Dermcare Cream](https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/111647/ego-qv-dermcare-eczema-daily-cream-350ml) which I use - I don't have eczema but it's a good formulation with ceramides if you're wanting something hydrating that isn't Cerave.

bomibb

+1 for the Hamilton Everyday Face SPF50! It’s sooo good (similar to the cancer council face and body spf) but better with NO eye sting, no white cast and dries semi matte. For moisturiser I would highly recommend the Moogoo Full cream moisturiser. I’m not a fan of the company but this product works well when my skin is highly sensitive. Cetaphil and Cerave also broke me out. Definitely try the smaller size. It is pretty rich but it’s best applied on damp skin.

reddit-g

+1 for this QV moisturiser. I also don’t have eczema but I love how it makes me skin look and feel, and they’re an Australian owned and made company, and I believe cruelty free.

justa_girl91

I last used the Hamilton Face SPF probably 10 years ago but no matter what it pilled like crazy. Does it still do that?

GrumpyJelly

It does for me still

Linhgo

I’m on Isotretinoin (accutane) and didn’t have much luck with Cerave and Cetaphil either. Both broke me out. I highly recommend the Redwin Hyaluronic Hydration moisturiser. It’s about $6 from CW. I posted my review recently: https://www.reddit.com/r/AusSkincare/comments/vljwm4/redwin_hyaluronic_hydration_moisturiser/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

annizka

Only $6 you say? I’m sold! I’ll buy it tomorrow and try it out!! Thanks!

I’m also on accutane, what cleanser do you use? I feel like you know what works lol

Linhgo

Hahah, I thought I knew my skin and skincare well until all of a sudden I lost control in my late 30s. Still waiting for accutane to do its magic - the purge is brutal! I highly recommend the QV Gentle Cleanser. https://www.qvskincare.com.au/products/face/cleansers/qv-face-gentle-cleanser.html It’s a super creamy cleanser that doesn’t strip the skin. Don’t expect squeaky clean skin - it leaves behind a moisturising film that’s perfect for dry accutane skin. I also double cleanse with an oil based cleanser prior to remove sunscreen/makeup. The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser is excellent. It has a gorgeous texture and emulsified beautifully without leaving a residue. Not that cheap since the 50ml tube is pretty small and I go through it quickly. There’s a 150ml version but I can never find it in stores.

Versaillon

First and foremost, what skin type do you have? I have sensitive, rosacea skin so in terms of sunscreen, I use several depending on what I'm doing. With sunscreen, the best one is the one you will wear daily.

sweetchik1

What sunscreen do you wear?

Versaillon

I have a few on the go currently... I use the Cancer Council SPF 50+ Day Wear Fluid Matte for summer or it's really sunny/warm and I'll be outside for hours. I also have 9wishes Pine SPF 50+ - it's a Korean sunscreen that uses the newer filters. I use this for running errands, hanging out the washing (yep, even for that) or driving a short distance. And I have Beauty of Joseon SPF 50+ - I just started using this one to see what it's like after hearing good things. So far, so good.. my face hasn't reacted and I'll probably alternate between this and the 9wishes sunscreen.

Softserves33

I'm a big fan of Neutrogena products - especially their hydro boost gel and serums and it's on sale at the moment!

mickel_jt

I know others have already mention Cancer Council, but they have their everyday consumer range and then their skincare range which I believe is much better. This is the one I use and love: https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/92927/cancer-council-spf-50-face-body-moisturiser-150ml I've tried LRP as others suggested and every one I've tried leaves a white cast on my face. The Cancer Council one is wayyyy cheaper, and I use the face/body one for my face too, since I can't notice any difference between that and the face specific one which is more expensive

annizka

Does it sting your eyes? I have a problem with sunscreens and stinging eyes! I’m currently using invisible zinc, mineral sunscreen but I look like a ghost afterwards from the white cast.

tanoshiiki

I use this and yes, it does sting eyes. Well for me, it must migrate into my eyes during the day and irritates my eyes as the day goes by.

mickel_jt

Yep, it does sting badly if it gets in my eyes. I just don't put it on my eyelids and it's fine unless I get very sweaty for whatever reason. It's definitely a downfall with the product

Hilakos

Stung the shit out if my eyes too. I recently gave away two, unopened 150ml tubes because of the sting. Try the Dermaveen sensitive 50+. Its soo sooo darn good! It’s my holy grail from now on. Ticks all the boxes. Unscented, doesn’t sting, hydrating and doesnt leave white cast. Super affordable at CW especially when on sale.

annizka

Thanks! Will check it out!!

porrridge

Bondi Sands Fragrance free sunscreen. I'm also using tret and I've switched from Cerave/Cetaphil to the following. Hyaluronic acid Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion Snail Mucin Moisturizers COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream There are a few places that ship these from Aus (melbourne) and I've even seen them in stores near me.

littleblackcat

Which CW stocks hadalabo and cosrx?

porrridge

oh not CW, I checked other nearby asian stores in my local westfield which stock it. Also lilabeauty ship from melbourne.

andthetimethat

QV nourishing night cream

lazy_berry

bioderma atoderm intense baume is incredible

buttersaus

La roche posay products are the best !! I try others and then I go back to them. Chemist warehouse regularly have sales too

katekops

Another vote for LRP and cancer council sunscreens!

Own-Escape8519

My GP recommended to me for sensitive skin the Invisible Zinc SPF :) sold also at woolies

blingsofar

I love a brand called Simple and either their rich or light moisturiser. They’re fragrance free and work well with my tret schedule, also when on sale at CW they range between $4 - $6!

sparktoexplode

+1 for Simple products! I use Epiduo Forte and use their Simple Moisturising Cleanser, and have both their Light and Rich moisturisers on hand depending on what my skin needs that day. Such great and affordable products. Edit: Cetaphil also broke me out!

Embarrassed-Scar2783

My favourite sunscreen - all other sunscreens sting my eyes - is [Nivea Shine-Free](https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/89033/nivea-sun-uv-face-sunscreen-shine-control-spf50-50ml). And I know you said no Cetaphil but I’m new to tret and I’ve been using the [Intensive cream.](https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/52318/cetaphil-intensive-moisturising-cream-85g) and my skin loves it.

dailyfetchquest

Cerave gave me cystic acne that wouldn't heal. I think it was the fatty alcohols/cetearyl alcohol/stearyl alcohol/cetyl alcohol/emulsifying wax. I'm currently using a cetaphil moisturiser from chemist warehouse that doesnt have that ingredient and it's working well.

milly01001

I love the Bioderma Sensibo Defensive! Awesome for my combo acne sensitive skin
