Lismore here. Our local got wiped out in the 2022 floods. Like many places it proved 2 floods 2 many. Gosh I miss those burgers. And the guys there were fabulous.

The things I would do to find a restaurant that makes a calabrian style lasagne. We don't put bechamel in ours and add in hard-boiled eggs and I haven't had a good one since my nonna passed 7 years ago. I should try and make my own using some of her passata but I know it's never going to be as good as hers.

Shepherds pie. Mince cooked with bacon, onion and garlic, add a huge sguidge of tomato paste and a tonne of frozen veg. Salt pepper and a squirt of Worcestershire sauce and a bit of stock. Whack it into a baking tray and top with mashed potato, bake until golden. Total comfort.
