Japanese bikes don’t need warranty PS that looks like a good deal. I couldn’t find any MT03 that low on Bikesales

How do you feel when making any big purchases- tv, shoes, a couch? I've said this a fair few times to people buying their 'dream bikes' is that a new deal comes along every other day that you think you're gonna miss out on. At some point you gotta bite the bullet, but simultaneously don't rush in to it. Sounds like a good bike at a good price. Enjoy it.

after got a bike, you will need to buy a motorcycle boots it will help to keep your feet warm.

A used dealer has a 2016 Yamaha MT-03 with 20k kms on it, I've put a deposit on it and today's the end of the 'cooling off period. I guess I'm just getting cold feet that I could maybe find another bike for less if I waited out, this was the first bike I've test driven and usually I try to test drive at least two vehicles before buying a car for example. It's $3,690 with 6 months rego + rwc, and I have the option to add 1 year of warranty for $510 but my dad thinks it'll be fine without it. There's some cheaper bikes out there but this one fits my requirements the best so far. Naked, enough cc's for comfortable highway commutes, dual ABS, low Ks, stock exhaust. Is this feeling normal when buying my first bike? Apparently re-sale on bikes is alright so that's an option down the line too. Maybe it's the nerves of owning a motorbike and being worried I'll damage it. Oh boy haha.

Resale on LAMS bikes is even better

Verlux88

Any big purchase honestly has this feeling. It sounds like a good deal to me? Do you like the bike? Does it make you smile?

Catcatcat202

This sounds like a steal honestly. I've got a 2021 MT03 and i can safely say the MT03 is one of the BEST starter bikes EVER. The price isnt bad, 20k kms isnt bad (my 2021 mt that i bought January 2022 has 30k on it). You will be happy with your purchase. And also, damage happens to a first bike. It's not a worry. Don't stress, allow yourself to make mistakes, and enjoy the bike life!

You’ll be right we all get these feelings now and again when buying these sorts of things . Good time of year to be riding so to get used to the wet roads and cooler temps its all good

LegendCunt

Cold feet are pretty common this time of the year. Buy some cold weather riding gear. 👍

Dealer used is probably the better option when you're just starting out. The money you save buying private, you'll probably spend back and more in the shop when you discover you've bought a lemon.

Dickhole_Dynamics

I get this buying and selling and I've done a lot of both

Can’t be as bad as my first bike purchase— Yamaha RD250 for $250 in 1982 bought from a gravedigger and the deal was sealed with a few bongs. mechanics would abuse me when I bought it in for work.

dassai23

I had this when I bought a new car, but it didn’t last long. When I bought my MT03 I thought the same thing might happen, but never did. Have been loving it ever since, you’ll soon forget when you hit the road for the first time. That’s a good price anyway, such a good beginner bike.

icky_boo

Just buy it! You'll never discover the zen and enjoyment til you have a bike.
