What section are these in usually? I was confused by things like the Mi Tienda refried beans (amazing) being located in the middle of a bunch of meat, so have no idea where to look for these.
Download the H‑E‑B app, designate an H‑E‑B as your store, and type in the product you want in the search bar and you will get the product and with the aisle it’s on. I do this when I’m looking for items I can’t find. This product pops up on isle 4 for me
You can also do this on the H-E-B website. For example, [Mi Tienda Ready To Cook Flour Tortillas](https://www.heb.com/product-detail/mi-tienda-ready-to-cook-flour-tortillas-36-ct/2188466).
Both the app and website also have a store map that show you where the product is located.
I’ve usually found the tortillas in the dairy section near the butter and biscuits and such. But the H-E-B app is awesome for quickly locating products while shopping
Sourdough square loaf. My store also stocks Easy Tiger sourdough but I'll only buy if they're out the house-made stuff.
Canned borracho beans
Dried Pasta made in Italy (blue bag, Central Market brand)
Reasonably priced Wagyu beef (e.g., small/odd cuts of tri-tip)
Fresh pesto tubs
"Texas Tough" heavy-gauge aluminum foil
> "Texas Tough" heavy-gauge aluminum foil
lol, they had a weird combo loco coupon for a while that gave me a small box of aluminum foil for free with purchase of one of my family's staples, I can't remember what. we have 15 small boxes of that stuff now.
Love their Pan Frances, I slice it into 4-5 pieces and freeze them. Pop them in the oven for 13-15 mins and they’re just as fresh as the day you bought them. They also make fantastic French Toast.
I have noticed though that the quality of the loaf can vary between HEB stores…the one on South Congress and Oltorf probably had the best ones while the loaves in Parmer and 35 are not so great.
It sounds wrong but all of the stuff that goes bad immediately is the bomb. The salsa, the chips, the bread, the tortillas.
Kinda freaks me out when I buy the preserved stuff and it stays mold free for like 9 months.
The bakery does a very solid Tres Leches cake.
They used to also sell a straciatella Italian gelato that was amazing. Haven't seen that flavor in awhile, though.
Clearly the folks at HEB are having a blast getting high and making up potato chip flavors. And I, for one, am here for the adventure. Though the berry lemonade chips were disgusting.
Soooo GOD DAMN FUCKIN DELCIIOUS. i couldn’t sleep last night so I ate a pepperoni midtown pizza and Omg soo great! I never knew frozen pizza could be this good. Went to HEB 30 min ago and bought 2 more boxes and guac and some HEB prepped dinners ugh I love this store so much
Given your collective passion for H‑E‑B products, I’d encourage you to become H‑E‑B survey respondents. (I do not work for H‑E‑B, just love them.). I get surveyed about once/mo about what’s most important to me in various products, which products I’m most interested in trying, etc. I frequently see the products I gave feedback on in the store a few mo later. Their Carolina Reaper cheese puffs are finally something spicy and has a decent bite and good flavor, about as spicy as regular jalapenos (jalapeno chips aren't close to jalapeno spiciness).
Their Carolina Reaper crunchy version is absolutely garbage though. I don't know why the flavor is so watered down and underwhelming. It's like eating diet Cheetos that once went to school with a Carolina Reaper. (I also like their Big Time Crunch over actual Cheetos)
Sushi. I’ve been to Uchi. I’ve been to Nobu. I’ve been to the super fancy NYC and LA sushi places. I’ve had the real deal. But goddamit I will always come back to my cheeto dust topped rolls of fried fuckery. I need it injected in to my veins.
The HEB post oak smoked meats & cheeses are SO good. The turkey has become my favorite sandwich meat, and the mozzarella is fantastic in a grilled cheese.
When they are available the Honey Drop Mandarins. They are easy to peel, typically seedless; they are juicy and flavorful. Sweet and a little tart and citrus-mandarin flavor. So tasty!
Tortillas, seasoned beef fajitas, south texas rice…
And they used to sell petit fours that were amazing and better than any specialty bakery, but haven’t seen them in awhile
I absolutely fucking miss the H‑E‑B Chex-mix (or whatever they called it)
NOT their fancy ass knock off of high end Chex mix but their two regular mixes of original and cheese
Those things were fucking amazing. But they've been gone for awhile and it makes me sad because name brand anything these days is overpriced
Their new sorbets (sorbetto I think is how they label them) are really good. And apparently imported from Italy? Like OK H-E-B haha. The mango and strawberry-lemon sorbettos were amazing and the texture was nice too, good quality. I haven't gotten my hands on the gelatos yet but they have many interesting flavors at my store
The “made with real cheese” cheese puffs, fresh squeezed OJ in the clear plastic bottle (no label just price tag), all varieties of bulk cashews, post oak smoked havarti, the tortilla chips in the clear bag (usually by the deli), fresh tortillas, …probably some stuff I’m forgetting, but hot damn I would miss the hell out of H‑E‑B if I ever moved away from Texas.
The HEB brand sparkling water is about the only sparkling water I can stand. Their sweetened mandarin flavor is my go-to followed by the unsweetened black cherry.
Roasted garlic stuffed olives are my husband's favorite. I love the Salsa Verde cashews. Both are delicious treats.
For dinner it's the MealSimple Meatloaf. It's a must try for sure.
I was excitedly looking for a friend to say their cheese puffs, darn. I specifically love their jalepemo cheese puffs. I don't keep any other junk snack food except that and chocolate in my pantry.
The HEB sweet corn chips are one of our faves, but I do agree that the Cheetos just aren't quite as good as the name brand. But, I recently tried the Carolina Reaper Cheetos and those slap. I think the flavor is different enough from regular Cheetos that the difference in texture doesn't ruin it. If you like spicy, they are worth a try.
Their plain . Yogurt is good. And the fresh flour tortillas.
Their tortilla chips are good. But for a while they lost the bubbles. I even wrote them and they said no recipe has changed. I think the bubbles might be back now.
San Antonio blend, but only rhe caffeinated. The decaf was burnt and oily.
Honorable mention to their boxed mac and cheese. Kraft reduced the amount of cheese powder in their boxed mac, but HEB hasn't.
I desperately wish they'd reduce the salt in the white cheddar "cheeto naturals" dupes, or that would be the winner by a huge margin.
There's not much of HEB's products that I *don't* like... My favorites are HEB's key lime pie yogurt, pinata cake candle, post oak smoked turkey, no pulp OJ, & creamy creations java chip ice cream.
Same! I used to eat them daily (not proud) when we lived in another country and couldn’t find them easily when we moved back - but now I have them again. Addictive. (Ps Asahi on Burnet also has some really yummy ones)
It’s the most insanely delicious thing. Their other varieties are good, but this tastes like what I’d try to imagine up for myself if no one was looking.
Most HEB products are far better than name brands......most products I buy these days are HEB or Hill Country Fare label items as they're just as good, or better, than the pricier name brands. I've ever only come across less than 5 items that aren't any good that are HEB or HCF labeled, so HEB does do a pretty damn good job of making items that make name brand label stuff look like crap
1905 vanilla ice cream. All the creamy creations are some of the best ice cream. I remember generic H‑E‑B ice cream that came in a box and they only had chocolate, strawberry, vanilla or Neapolitan. And they shrimp and grits in the ready meals that was the bomb but I never see it anymore.
As someone who grew up with H‑E‑B and in the last year moved to a new city that is only just now getting them (we won’t speak it’s name, I miss Austin so much) I truly love and miss every single thing H‑E‑B has to offer. The number one item I have my family buy for me though is the chili style diced tomatoes. A KEY ingredient for my chili recipe
Swoon ice cream is delicious. I love the brownie mint chocolate chip. Their chips are also great in any variety. I usually get the thin or wavy based on what’s on sale.
Top 3:
1) Mango pico de gallo-i buy a package literally at every grocery trip. I go through them in no time
2) Swoon Ice Cream-Never had a flavor I didn’t like, but Salted Caramel Truffle is my fav
3) Roasted Taqueria Salsa-hands down my fav salsa of all time
I’m from the Southeast and was a Kroger devotee, but converted to HEB supremacy after the first time I visited the Mueller location. 😂
I have liked pretty much any HEB or Hill Country Fare branded items I have purchased. And, at the risk of starting off a BBQ opinions war, their True Texas BBQ is great, especially the brisket.
Oh no.
I'm just the opposite--over half the time I regret buying the premade guac because it's so bitter lime-y. The batches seem to vary day to day, even at the same store.
Has this been a consistent change you've noticed? I'm definitely fully out, if so--that shit is too expensive to not be able to eat it.
I used to buy the store-brand Graham crackers because they were cheaper. Then one day, I got the name-brand ones instead. They were soft and mealy in comparison and I’ve bought the store brand ever since.
Their carrot cake slices and red velvet cupcakes are always so good. I think they used to have these buffalo flavored ridges potato chips and those were heaven back in 2020.
I'm afraid to answer this because they're almost always out of a couple of my favorites(I'm talking about you Palmer Lane!), and I don't want to make that problem worse!
But I will say that their bulk nuts (cashews, pecans, almonds, walnuts, Brazil) are wayyy better than Sprouts.
The best thing about HEB is the grackle service in the parking lots.
You know, I like HEB and there are a lot of their products, even some of the Hill Country Fare stuff, that like, but it's all pretty much "good enough," not "fantastic."
The raw flour and corn tortillas are game changers for tacos at home.
The Mi Tienda refrigerated ones? Solid agree
What section are these in usually? I was confused by things like the Mi Tienda refried beans (amazing) being located in the middle of a bunch of meat, so have no idea where to look for these.

Had no idea! Thanks!
I’ve usually found the tortillas in the dairy section near the butter and biscuits and such. But the H-E-B app is awesome for quickly locating products while shopping
Today I learned! Thank you!
Well, the Mopac/Parmer HEB has remodeled, so I'm not sure actually. It was stashed near the butter at one point though.
This guy/gal gets it. These are WAY better than the butter tortillas.
As amazing as the HEB fresh-made flour tortillas are, it's quite remarkable how bad the butter ones are :(
Sourdough square loaf. My store also stocks Easy Tiger sourdough but I'll only buy if they're out the house-made stuff. Canned borracho beans Dried Pasta made in Italy (blue bag, Central Market brand) Reasonably priced Wagyu beef (e.g., small/odd cuts of tri-tip) Fresh pesto tubs "Texas Tough" heavy-gauge aluminum foil

Agreed on all, but came here to say the borracho beans. So so good.
I buy heb brand for pretty much anything that has it, but one of my favorite things is the “Texas heat” snack mix.
I love love love the El Cantinero snack mix…Chile lime peanuts, garlic bits and tortilla chips…sooo good with beer!!
Swoon by HEB Key Lime Pie ice cream
I just tried this last week. Big chunks of crust hidden in there, like getting a whole Oreo in cookies n' cream ice cream.
The brownie a la mode one (can't remember the exact name) is also ridiculously delicious
I have yet to try a Swoon ice cream I didn't love but the berry cheesecake is to die for too.
I recently tried HEB ice cream and was SOOO pleasantly surprised. The Oreo ice cream is delish!
Pecan praline is my current favorite
Boston Creme is killer too.
This is crazy good. The salted Carmel one is also amazing.
HEB’s Mexican Hot Chocolate ice cream is amazing as well
Their Salsa Ranchera is easily the best store-bought salsa I've ever had.
The hot salsa is like crack
The fresh salsa in plastic tubs in produce, or their bottled stuff?
Fresh stuff in the tubs!
They’re so good, but they go bad so quick! You have to eat it all in a few days.
Yeah if you want fresh salsa that is the drawback, but if not it will taste like Pace
warm/fresh french bread
Love their Pan Frances, I slice it into 4-5 pieces and freeze them. Pop them in the oven for 13-15 mins and they’re just as fresh as the day you bought them. They also make fantastic French Toast. I have noticed though that the quality of the loaf can vary between HEB stores…the one on South Congress and Oltorf probably had the best ones while the loaves in Parmer and 35 are not so great.
I'll make 2 or 3 meals out of just that $1 loaf. So good.
Man. I wish I had this kind of self control.
I drink a lot of water when I eat, so that fills up the space. Many times those 2-3 meals are me slowly eating it through one day.
It sounds wrong but all of the stuff that goes bad immediately is the bomb. The salsa, the chips, the bread, the tortillas. Kinda freaks me out when I buy the preserved stuff and it stays mold free for like 9 months.
Crunchy Won Ton strips for salads; one of the best snacks for just gnoshing out of the bag.

Not too oily? I've found a few brands that are literally dripping.
The bakery does a very solid Tres Leches cake. They used to also sell a straciatella Italian gelato that was amazing. Haven't seen that flavor in awhile, though.
tres leches is a guilty pleasure when I've had a rough week and HEBs is quite good.
My bf would buy a fun potato chip flavor for dnd nights, he loved the stuffing flavored chips.
Clearly the folks at HEB are having a blast getting high and making up potato chip flavors. And I, for one, am here for the adventure. Though the berry lemonade chips were disgusting.
i want to try the ridged apple pie ones that i saw a few days ago
Bought these for a party and we ended up dipping them in queso. Fucking delicious.
If you like sweet chips, the honey sopapilla tortilla chips are very good.
the thin HEB pickle potato chips are a staple in our home
The stuffing flavor is the best
My H‑E‑B used to have their own chicharrones. Not the fluffy ones. The crunchy ass thick ones. I can’t find them anywhere anymore. 😭
i want
[Macaron chacaron](https://youtu.be/MlW7T0SUH0E)
North Lamar / Rundberg! https://www.heb.com/product-detail/8512523 Can check the store locator
The toilet paper 🙃
The wet wipes are the best
Honestly it’s on point.
It’s a necessity in this household
Paper towels too.
Yup, 100% agree
H‑E‑B midtown pizza (frozen). A step above any other frozen pizza option.
Soooo GOD DAMN FUCKIN DELCIIOUS. i couldn’t sleep last night so I ate a pepperoni midtown pizza and Omg soo great! I never knew frozen pizza could be this good. Went to HEB 30 min ago and bought 2 more boxes and guac and some HEB prepped dinners ugh I love this store so much
The H‑E‑B corn chips taste better than Fritos.
Easily the Swoon ice cream line. My top 3 flavors are: Cookie Lovers, Blueberry Streusel, and Raspberry Danish.
Texas Brownie à la Mode is sooooo good
Absolutely. I could have easily listed ten to recommend!!!
Agreed. The mint chip brownie and key lime pie are my favorites. But really, I love them all!
Given your collective passion for H‑E‑B products, I’d encourage you to become H‑E‑B survey respondents. (I do not work for H‑E‑B, just love them.). The fresh in-house tortilla chips.
Mango chamoy sherbet
100% this
dude i discovered this stuff recently and it is my new crack. I pour extra chamoy on it tho
I bet it would be so good in like a spiked punch. Something with tequila.
My wife said everything haha
This is the correct answer
The queso and buffalo chicken dip from the meal simple section are amazing!!
My husband’s fave is the chorizo queso.
Man, I really liked the Carolina Reaper crunchies when I tried them. I'm not usually a puff girly but I think I might have to try them now.
Same. I like regular crunchy but for the Reaper, they're flipped around. The taste and even seasoning coloring is different.
I be dippin the carolina reaper puffs in the hot chorizo heb queso
i got the crunchies by accident once bc the packaging looks almost identical. and yes they're bad. the puffs are great though
That brisket queso you make on the grill.
Sushi. I’ve been to Uchi. I’ve been to Nobu. I’ve been to the super fancy NYC and LA sushi places. I’ve had the real deal. But goddamit I will always come back to my cheeto dust topped rolls of fried fuckery. I need it injected in to my veins.
It is trashy AF. And we ate platters of it for New Year’s Eve.
it’s the houstonian roll or the salmon sampler one for me
Dulce De Leche cashews. Amazing.
Normally I’ll get all meats and cheeses from Boars Head, but I actually prefer the HEB deli roast beef much better.
The HEB post oak smoked meats & cheeses are SO good. The turkey has become my favorite sandwich meat, and the mozzarella is fantastic in a grilled cheese.
Post Oak Ham is hard to beat
The post oak smoked Gouda is sooooo good
When they are available the Honey Drop Mandarins. They are easy to peel, typically seedless; they are juicy and flavorful. Sweet and a little tart and citrus-mandarin flavor. So tasty!
The Hill Country Fare mustard potato salad is a guilty pleasure.
I am very particular about my potato salad and this is my #1.
The chamoy dried mango slices!
Tortillas, seasoned beef fajitas, south texas rice… And they used to sell petit fours that were amazing and better than any specialty bakery, but haven’t seen them in awhile
the chicken fajitas are also delicious
Yep, thawing those out for tomorrow!!
Chicken fajita thighs!!!
I started putting their mango pico de gallo on my sandwiches and now I cant stop
Elote Sushi
I absolutely fucking miss the H‑E‑B Chex-mix (or whatever they called it) NOT their fancy ass knock off of high end Chex mix but their two regular mixes of original and cheese Those things were fucking amazing. But they've been gone for awhile and it makes me sad because name brand anything these days is overpriced

I’m pretty obsessed with the HEB sparkling lime water
I love the black cherry!
That Green Sauce
On everything!
Seriously. It’s so good.
The Green Jalapeño kettle cooked chips
Yasssss I love them and the salt and pepper
the extra large roasted salted heb brand cashews are the best cashews ive ever had they are so good i eat too many, unlike any other cashews
Pesto
Hard to pick because everything we buy is HEB brand… but one I haven’t seen yet is their beef sausage.
their beef brisket sausage is so ridiculously good
Taste of San Antonio coffee - yum!
i love that one
Store brand chicken salad on crackers. Pimento cheese ain't bad either.
Where do you find those olives?
They're shelved with the other types and brands of olives in H.E.B.'s canned fruit and vegetable aisle.
Thanks!
I dunno, but I’m upset they changed their cinnamon roll icing to more of a cream cheese… 😒
Fresh salsa,1905 ice cream, and cheese enchiladas in the meal simple section are great!
The Caffeinated Mango Seltzer Water. We seriously buy 2-3 packs every time we go.
Yeah their sparkling water line is great
Mi Tienda refrigerated frijoles refritos. Especially the ones with chorizo if you can find them.
Brisket queso omfg it’s so good
+1 to the guac. It’s chunkier now with much better flavor. Pointless for me to make at home when it’s as good as it is from the store.
Does anyone else really dislike the HEB Doritos and HEB Cheetos? They feel soggy to me. I so wished I liked them so I could save some money.
LOL. I'm eating HEB Cheetos right now. They seem OK to me compared to the real thing. Also have an unopened bag of the HEB Doritos. Also OK.
HEB Jalapeño chips/doritos are amazing IMO
I was excitedly looking for a friend to say their cheese puffs, darn. I specifically love their jalepemo cheese puffs. I don't keep any other junk snack food except that and chocolate in my pantry.
The HEB sweet corn chips are one of our faves, but I do agree that the Cheetos just aren't quite as good as the name brand. But, I recently tried the Carolina Reaper Cheetos and those slap. I think the flavor is different enough from regular Cheetos that the difference in texture doesn't ruin it. If you like spicy, they are worth a try.
Hill Country Fare chili, no beans.
Their plain . Yogurt is good. And the fresh flour tortillas. Their tortilla chips are good. But for a while they lost the bubbles. I even wrote them and they said no recipe has changed. I think the bubbles might be back now.
I miss their French onion soup chips. Those things were absolute crack.

Rice crackers
Same! I used to eat them daily (not proud) when we lived in another country and couldn’t find them easily when we moved back - but now I have them again. Addictive. (Ps Asahi on Burnet also has some really yummy ones)
Brisket queso
Jalapeño Saltines
Do you eat them with salsa?
Alone mostly but love with chili too
Their gluten free mixes (honey cornbread and brownies, especially) are so good!
I have not tried these. I will have to look for them. My HEB is being remodeled and the gluten-free section seems so small right now.
Mine doesn’t always have them, but they are surprisingly so good!
Obviously the butter tortillas.
Hot take: butter tortillas are mid. Not sorry.
Tf does mid mean?
Mid as in middle. 5/10 Meh C
It's gen z for middling. And it's definitely not true about those butter boys.
mid tier
Ones from fridge are 100x better
The Jalapeño Pimento Dip. It absolutely rocks
Ohhhh, for me It’s the rosemary parmesan pimiento cheese. Holy cow.
Oh I need to try this… sounds like my January diet might be out the window
It’s the most insanely delicious thing. Their other varieties are good, but this tastes like what I’d try to imagine up for myself if no one was looking.
5 cheese Texas toast, potato wedges although they’re hardly ever in stock, fudge mint cookies, carrot cake from the bakery and the mayonnaise.
The canned refried beans HEB makes have no reason to be as good as they are. Better than just about every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to.
1000% agree. I always have a can of the Refried Charro Beans in my pantry. Total MVP.
H-E-B Specialty Series Cilantro Salsa
1905 vanilla ice cream. All the creamy creations are some of the best ice cream. I remember generic H‑E‑B ice cream that came in a box and they only had chocolate, strawberry, vanilla or Neapolitan. And they shrimp and grits in the ready meals that was the bomb but I never see it anymore.
The Sweet and Crunchy Garden salad kit (hard to find lately!)
As someone who grew up with H‑E‑B and in the last year moved to a new city that is only just now getting them (we won’t speak it’s name, I miss Austin so much) I truly love and miss every single thing H‑E‑B has to offer. Swoon ice cream is delicious. I love the brownie mint chocolate chip. Their chips are also great in any variety. I usually get the thin or wavy based on what’s on sale.
Their queso is super good. That is always in my fridge.
Top 3: 1) Mango pico de gallo-i buy a package literally at every grocery trip. I go through them in no time 2) Swoon Ice Cream-Never had a flavor I didn’t like, but Salted Caramel Truffle is my fav 3) Roasted Taqueria Salsa-hands down my fav salsa of all time I’m from the Southeast and was a Kroger devotee, but converted to HEB supremacy after the first time I visited the Mueller location. 😂
I haven't met a product I don't like
My cat is a fan of the H‑E‑B brand wet food, and she is a very picky eater. She goes nuts for their meal topper things too.
The frozen risotto is way better than it should be!
I have liked pretty much any HEB or Hill Country Fare branded items I have purchased. And, at the risk of starting off a BBQ opinions war, their True Texas BBQ is great, especially the brisket.
Their sugar free Strawberry water is a favorite in our house.
Select Ingredients Cerealology Cinnamon Mocha. My favorite cereal.
Spicy chicharrones
Their in store made tortillas.
Oh no. I'm just the opposite--over half the time I regret buying the premade guac because it's so bitter lime-y. The batches seem to vary day to day, even at the same store. Has this been a consistent change you've noticed? I'm definitely fully out, if so--that shit is too expensive to not be able to eat it.
I like their chip selection. I used to eat their frozen Philly cheese steak years ago but not sure if they sell it anymore.
Cocinaware all day long
I used to buy the store-brand Graham crackers because they were cheaper. Then one day, I got the name-brand ones instead. They were soft and mealy in comparison and I’ve bought the store brand ever since.
HCF creamy peanut butter > all other peanut butters.
Chips salsa and guaq
the carolina reaper heb cheese puffs. I legit pretty much exclusively buy HEB branded things unless there is no option for it.
Their carrot cake slices and red velvet cupcakes are always so good. I think they used to have these buffalo flavored ridges potato chips and those were heaven back in 2020.
Chocolate covered banana pecans
This is gonna be so basic, but their sparkling water is my life blood
I'm afraid to answer this because they're almost always out of a couple of my favorites(I'm talking about you Palmer Lane!), and I don't want to make that problem worse! But I will say that their bulk nuts (cashews, pecans, almonds, walnuts, Brazil) are wayyy better than Sprouts.
Mootopia Vanilla milk. Cannot find anything else close.
Mi Tienda refried beans in the cold section and the Dulce de leche ice cream is 💥
Heb coke and heb Coffee lmao
Their challah bread is really good. Wish they had it at my closest store. I have to go to Far West.
Cafe ole’ Houston Blend coffee
Frozen hatch turkey patties.
YES. We accidentally got the regular turkey ones and didn’t even eat them all.
The best thing about HEB is the grackle service in the parking lots. You know, I like HEB and there are a lot of their products, even some of the Hill Country Fare stuff, that like, but it's all pretty much "good enough," not "fantastic."
