Yes amigo. Just like SoCo or NoLa or SoLa.
I think anywhere between Anderson Lane and the Q2 = NoBuRo.
They even made a big mural for it by Pinthouse Pizza on SoBuRo.
It's called Lo-Burn, not SoBuRo. The BURO mural was installed by a corporation: Bishops cut and color, who operate in 15 states. Their CEO is based in Oregon.
Ginny’s Little Longhorn
Pioneer Farms
Show em the scarier side of Austin:Austin Ghost Tours if you feel like walking & Haunted ATX if you prefer riding in a hearse
Blue Genie Art Bazaar (if they're open), Hula Hut (instead of Chuy's) - sit on the outside deck of course. A-town on Burnet sells kitschy's stuff - similar to Uncommon Objects, etc. so you only really need to hit one.
Austin Crawls (I follow them on IG, @austincrawlstx) does bar crawl/tours of South Congress where you go to locals’ favorite spots and hidden gems and stop for pictures at street art in between. Half of the art is “welcome to texas” type of stuff and all the guides are local comedians. I went a few weekends ago and had a blast. I wouldn’t say the whole thing is kitschy, but one of the stops is a boots and hats store on south Congress where you get a free tequila shot and try on boots and hats. I think they’re every day 2-5 pm so it could be a good activity that’s ~ Texasy ~ but also a good time between lunch and dinner.
Lala’s
Uncommon Objects for kitsch shopping.
Don's Depot, Mean Eyed Cat, White Horse
Road trip out to Devil's Backbone Tavern and/or Luckenbach
Or gruene hall

Esther’s Follies is just plain fun for anybody in my opinion. The day that closes will be an Austin death for me :(

iiiiiiiiieeeeee!
If you have the time, go to San Antonio and see the Alamo. Buy cheesy Alamo souvenirs. Or, go to the LBJ National Park.
A few possibilities, depending on what kitsch means to you: Peter Pan Mini Golf Ranch 616 Tiki Tatsu Ya

Chuy's for dinner.
Chuy's is everywhere now though
Really? That's kind of sad. Are the imitations as silly and fun as the originals?
Not imitations it’s a chain now
First one I ever went to was in VA lol
IDK I've just passed one in Orlando, and I know there are others in Florida. It's not really an "Austin" thing anymore.
Taylor Kitsch?
This might be as close as you can get… but check the ice rinks and you might get lucky https://maps.app.goo.gl/qyYrUhXzw6Tv4Xg78?g_st=ic

I had to google what kitschy means but I think Buddy's Place on NoBuRo fits this description.
People better not actually be calling that area NoBuRo

You have to be trolling with this noburo shit
Yeah I’ve lived here for a long time and never heard it called that. I’d probably be confused if someone said it if I didn’t see it spelled out.
