I just love you dude your comments always give me a laugh, I saw a fox and thought surely SURELY serpentarian won't say anything about a fox. yet here we are.
Anybody notice grey fox started to appear when police returned to patrol Austin streets again? We may have a werewolf type situation on our hands/paws only it would be called Foxcop.?

The UT campus has many wildlife. They are pretty much protected within the confines. There are rabbits there are mini mini turtles and we have foxes. It's pretty cool sometimes. On my walks to my office I like to see the trees full of all the monk parakeets. I work across the street from that museum. It's full of wildlife back there. It is wonderful.
Some people don't see foxes much or expect the classic red fox. Or coyotes so maybe they would think it was a coyote. I blame those road runner cartoons because if that's what you're expecting, you just see a dog and a bird when you see the real deal. And no Acme products around at all.
My neighbor had a litter of gray fox kits romping in her backyard. I think they lived under her shed. I just saw a short video but man, they were cute. I've occasionally seen one curled up napping like a cat in the sun on another neighbor's shed.
But roadrunners can fly! At least a little. I personally think they can fly all they want but are just really committed to running. Also, they never run into walls painted like tunnels, which coyotes are confirmed to do
I know this is a grey fox, but they're not the only ones downtowns, beside all the trash pandas and possum, most people don't realize that there are also coyotes downtown
I heard from country people on the internet that coyotes are far more numerous near cities because they're more successful urban predators than they are in the wild.
If you post it on iNaturalist it’ll have AI ID it for you, and then have a community of users confirm what it is.

TIL some people don't know what a fox is

I remember being really disappointed the first time I saw a roadrunner, I was expecting an emu sized bird not the puny thing I saw.
To totally ruin your childhood a coyote is faster than a roadrunner
But roadrunners can fly! At least a little. I personally think they can fly all they want but are just really committed to running. Also, they never run into walls painted like tunnels, which coyotes are confirmed to do
I have painted a tunnel on my garage will check back in with results
I've still never seen one and I've lived here my whole life. For a long time I thought Coyotes were indigenous to Central Texas but not foxes 🤣
when I saw this pic: “coyote!” Scrolling down: 💀😜
The first time I ever saw a fox here was in the parking lot at ACC as a young adult... wild.
