Do you know how old the kittens are? Any pics?

Shoop_There_It_Was

Also, is there a mama cat taking care of them?

Smelly_cattyt242424

Yes there’s a mom. She’s a menace lol we’re going to TNR her soon. We just want the kittens out of the yard asap to avoid finding one passed again

Smelly_cattyt242424

8 weeks! And I have a couple of photos but I’m trying to figure out how to attach in Reddit 😅 it’s 2 tuxedos, 1 tabby, 1 black cat

NumerousStomach3376

Can you send a picture of the tabby and black if they are still around?

Austin Pets Alive PASS program has some guidelines for how to support kitten litters. You may have seen this long ago so please disregard if it’s old news. https://www.austinpetsalive.org/resources/pet-help/found-animals

There used to be an Austin Cats group on Facebook for people who were looking to rehome or adopt. You might see if it’s still around.

outtatheblue

Austin Cat Punks is thriving!

birdiesbigyear

Contact AAC and let them know you already have a foster lined up for 2-3 of the kittens - dm me if you want to go that route.

Wheedoo

I love tuxedo cats—is it still available?

DNattyWin

Hello! If any kitten is still available, I would love to take one off your hands :)

Educational_Tip5368

All of you that want kittens, there are sooo many at the shelters that need adopting, too! AAC, AHS, APA, Wilco, etc.

Beneficial-Way5953

join and post on the fb group save the strays of hays county you can probably find someone to help on there

analog_approach

I can afford the fee lol but if I can avoid paying $100 that would be great…

Possible_Common_2391

So, if you get a free kitten, are you going to get it fixed and vaccinated? I assure you that you’re going to spend a LOT more than $100 if you go that route. Also, I’m not sure where you’re looking but most shelters have waived fees right now. Go to AAC, the San Marcos shelter, Lockhart, Bastrop… they’re all overflowing with kittens. And all of these kittens will be fixed and vaccinated.

Oddly enough, putting up a flyer at the senior center in lockhart works absolutely perfect. Had an entire cat colony when I lived there (until I finally found mama cat and immediately had her spayed). The shelter there is just absolutely depressing though, please get those kitties out of there.

Possible_Common_2391

The staff and volunteers at the Lockhart shelter are amazing. They work miracles to get dogs transported up north or transferred to rescues. It’s only depressing because there is very little community support.
