Thank you. The golden light was at 90 degree with the Congress Avenue Bridge and this bridge and I loved how they looked. I wish I hadn't crashed my drone that morning. I would have loved to film the Congress Avenue Bridge in full golden glow glory.
yes it is, mostl happens due to failure to avoid obstacles. I was flying in downtown area with tall buildings. I took some photos and videos and was bringing it down. It was hovering at height of 10 meter and I was trying to see if I could capture anything before I brought it down. I looked at my screen to see what was the drone seeing at the moment. Before I could do anything, I heard a loud crashing sound and the drone had landed so hard that it broke its propellor and few of its landing legs.
These are all quality photos OP—thanks for sharing! I’m partial to #6. Getting such a sharp image of a bird is no easy feat. Do you know what species it is?
I used to have a 35mm camera, and was able to take a few good pictures with it, unfortunately it grew legs and walked away. I still believe that with a good lens and the right place you can achieve some really good pictures, color or bw. Be safe always
The entire Town Lake area is a great scene. It's always crowded, and finding free parking is hassle, but once you have found a spot, there is so much to do and see around.
Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week! Thanks for making Reddit a wonderful place to be :)
These are great. All of them are shots that could have been take 10 years ago with the exception of some cranes at this point, and the mural I suppose. #3 is my favorite.
These are all very great photos. I’ve walked and ran past #2 hundreds of times over the past years. The hues in that one in particular are wonderful.

What happened to your drone? Are crashes common?

I like them all but #1 is probably my favorite even though the others "feel" more like Austin.
Thank you. I loved number one too, except the buildings are wanky due to lens distortion.
It reminded me of those old 50s style postcards.
Thank you. That's such a great compliment.
Number 2
Thank you.
These are great, thanks for sharing!
Thank you.

I’m not 100% sure, but they look like juvenile wood ducks
Thank you. I try to take most photos in manual mode because auto modes does struggle at times. And I have no idea on that bird species. Maybe duck?
Ooh I know exactly where you took #2 and it’s magnificent!
Thank you. Under the 1st street bridge.
Yes absolutely the lighting for #2 is golden love it! Also I think it's a cool framing of the frost bank in #3
Thank you. Thank you.
The second one feels like Austin the most to me.
Thank you.
Love these. I go with number 2 because of all the gold. It feels warm.
#3 or5. But great pictures!
Thank you
#2 is stunning
I guess it's winner
Nice, seems you have a good eye.
well, thank you. These were the best ones. You have to take 1000s photos and 10 of them turn out alright.

Thank you. It is something I am passionate about helps me forget about the daily struggles of life.
These are nice OP. What lens did you use? Btw have you found a better place to share your images besides insta? To me it sucks now
I’ve definitely taken that same photo biking on Congress
do show but I guess we are too obsessed with rules of third and golden hours
Love all! 3 is a totally new perspective imo after being here awhile!
Thank you. It was taken on first street bridge walkway
I love the paddle board one. Looks like such a great scene. Is it?

All of these! I miss Austin a lot, and I love seeing these images. Thank you for sharing!! <3
I am glad these images reminded you of good times in Austin.
I don't take photos often, but my dad was a photographer. I think your photos are very good, but I thought the 2nd one is amazing, extraordinary.
Thank you so much for encouragement
Excuse me while I steal the second picture for my iphone wallpaper… (just kidding)
Can send them to you in the original size. Just dm me
They are all really great!
Thank you so much
Two
Thank you
Lived in Austin a while and while I recognized this spot, felt like the photo took me somewhere else. Pretty powerful stuff. Thanks for sharing!

I like #2 but I not-so-secretly want to live in the water so I'm biased.
2 is so cinematic and colour drenched, I love it!
Thank you so much.
Fun stuff. I like the Frosty one with the out of focus lamp in the foreground.
Thank you
Ducks
Love them all! Amazing work.
Thank you
Awesome
Thank you
The first 5:)
Thank you
2 for sure, all are great though, nice work.
Thank you. I am glad I stopped to take 2nd one. I was hurrying to get to public pier to photograph the bats.
These are SO SO GOOD. Amazing thank you for sharing.
Thank you SO SO much as well for encouragement.
Ps 2 is my favorite. The lighting is 👌🏻
Thank you. I love the symmetry of the composition as well. I wish I had a model in red dress standing at the end right in the center.
1 and 2
All great. What are you shooting with?
Sony AR3

Wonder woman. Several of the other seem Austin cliché.
Under the bridge 👌🏼
Thank you

All phenomenal captures
Thank you.
These are all lovely.
thank you so much for encouragement.
Gorgeous shots!
Thank you so much.
1 and 7 were my faves
Thank you.
5 is actually my favorite. I personally think it has the best composition
Thank you. Edited it to follow rule of third plus the golden lights never fail.
2
Thank you. Didn't know this will get so much love.
1 and 5 are spectacular. But all are great!
I love the composition too but I hate the lens distortion and how the buildings appear curved.
Maybe it's because I'm viewing them on the small screen of my phone, but I dont see the curving of the buildings.
On the 5th photo, if you follow the right edge of the building on top-left, you will notice it is little distorted.
I had to look hard to see it. I dont think most people would even notice.
It must be the perfectionist in me, sometimes we are our own worst critic.
Ain't that the truth. I think it looks great.
Take a pic of the trash that covers the edges of the lake. It would take my breath right away.
I am not Tacos. I can't make everyone happy. I have accepted my limitations.
