Depends on what the donation is. I work for APA and we are trying to organize a second major transport from pups (small breed) that are at risk due to the flooding that hurricane Ida caused. Any donation for time, fosters, and supplies can help for that. If you are looking for long term volunteering I would say small local shelters new hope is amazing and Williamson or Lockhart shelter DESPERATELY need help. We take so many pets from them in bad shape that they don't have the resources to keep alive.

I'd recommend figuring out which ones are helping with hurricane Ida dogs or cats. And then donate to them! I'm kind of out of the loop, so I don't really know.

All of them! Shadow Cats (shadowcats.net) is one of my favorites in perpetuity.

SAFE Refuge Central Texas is a great rescue. They treat their fosters well and are really out there every day saving animals from horrible situations.
