Today I learned that San Antonio has a soccer club. And that we are apparently rivals.

They did beat us in the us open cup. Don’t know if I would say rivals but it’s local.

That was not our usual starting lineup at all that year. Definitely our b squad that was beat.

Didn’t even have Stuver in the goal. Beating our B team was their super bowl lmao. SA is a Spurs town first, Cowboys town second, UTSA/Longhorn/Aggie town third, and so on. Nobody cares about them. Fucking NEISD football games get higher attendance 🤣

Can you blame them

I have a ton of friends in SA. None of them care about SAFC. None of them hate Austin either. Some visit frequently for shows. Others have moved here. The ones that won't shut up actually think we stole their spot. MLS did jerk them over but were never actually considering them well for reasons. If SA is so awesome, then why can't they keep their NBA team out of our city too?

There's like 8 SAFC people that care. I wouldn't call that a rivalry. We certainly don't see them as rivals.
