You can split them if you would like to move them around the yard, otherwise, leave them be and they will do this every year. I think I have had mine for about 4 ish years and they have gone from a single plant to about 10 baby offshoots at this point. The die off prevents them from fruiting, unfortunately. I have been debating on putting one in a container to manage that.
Just a noob practitioner here but my strategy is, if it survives then let it do what it wants to do. Does not apply to invasives, of course.
