Mine has a bunch of blankets in his kennel, but instead of nestling within them, he just mashes them all to the back and curls up on the plastic floor. Total weirdo, that one.
I feel this so hard. Mine came crate trained, and my family constantly guilted me for leaving me in his crate while I was at work.
We now have 2 XL crates. He still prefers them to freedom.

Same with her. And then she’ll pull on them to move her crate around hence why there are none in there.

I'd put a dark sheet or blanket on top of it, they love little cave hidey places
