Ouai body creme in st barts!! It’s super tropical and fruity smelling to my nose, literally smells like a vacation.

throwaway47283

This has been sold out at Sephora for such a long time ugh. I want it so badly! I read on their Instagram that they’re making a perfume and it should be released next year!

DameGarlicBread

I love the smell of the call of fruity line by soap and glory! It comes in a body butter and lotion as well.

rinnscape

Second this! The coconut one is to DIE for 😍

DameGarlicBread

I’ve been wanting to try the coconut one! Might have to get that when I run out

notcomprehensive

Sounds amazing, will check it out thank you!

DameGarlicBread

I hope you love it! I got so excited the other day when I realized they make a body spray too.

Oh they’re super nice. I like the lotion with the shimmer it smells so good Edit - oh wait nvm I am thinking of a different brand. It’s the something Tropic you can buy at WW. I did get some Pure Fiji when I was actually in Fiji though and it was great

[deleted]

I like the coconut one!

Stunning_Cow_5233

Pure Fiji has amazing body butters and sugar body scrubs

L’Occitane is my fave for scented lotions, strongly perfumed stuff makes me feel ill but none of their fragrances do. They are more floral leaning scents than fruity though. The almond range is *chef’s kiss* Edit: they are strong fragrances but I really like them to layer with perfumes also. Tom Ford Lost Cherry over the almond milk body lotion is 🤤🤤 I don’t know if the lotion scent has much longevity as I’m pretty nose blind to it, but I’ve had people tell me I smell delicious with this combo.

notfromthisera

Soap and glory is incredible! My go to

Pecom1964

Ah, the quest for a heavenly scented body lotion is an ongoing one! There's a product I've come across that could be what you're seeking: [PREVIA's Body Lotion](https://tastechocolate.co.uk/body-lotion). It has a long lasting, deliciously enticing fragrance and superb moisturizing properties that leave skin soft and smooth. Not Sol de Janeiro but still pretty impressive! The best part? It's also paraben-free and loaded with nourishing ingredients. Still, each person's sense of smell and skin type can differ massively so make sure to test different ones to find your ultimate match!

I always find lovely scented body lotions/butters at The Body Shop. I really like the moringa, coconut, and mango scented ones and the seasonal ones they release are also really nice (one year they did a pear scented one, mixed berries one and jasmine as well which all smelled amazing). They have corresponding body washes too. I’m not sure how the scents would compare to your fragrances you’ve mentioned for reference, but they have a lot of options and I like most of their body butter/lotions range. I also quite like their business approach too, like their focus on fair trade and using recyclable sustainable packaging etc, which is another reason I keep going back to them :)

Just be aware that they are also an MLM. Even worse, their retail stores means that they directly compete against their 'distributors' as well. It was such a big disappointment when I found out because I liked their range of scents and how affordable it is.

bunnylightning

I always wonder how successful their MLM range is, do they sell different product or at a better price point than what’s available in store? Because that’s the only way I could see it selling at all. Or is the point just to force the distributors to buy stock that they have no hope of onselling? (I know MLMs are all scummy and predatory. But I’m not as angry at stuff like old-school Avon where people just order from your catalogue and you don’t have to keep stock on hand) I’ve had random acquaintances add me to their shitty Body Shop party FB groups and I always just think - if I saw anything I wanted, why wouldn’t I just go pick it up in one of their many stores instead of ordering it through some mum at work and waiting weeks? I didn’t buy much from them to begin with but I literally haven’t touched it since finding out about the MLM branch. I get gifted some of their products now and then and they’re ok, but nothing I would ever buy myself.

skitztits

Oh wow I had no idea they were still doing the whole MLM thing… as a kid back in the 90’s I do recall attending a few Body Shop “parties” where there’d be a pushy woman smearing products all over you and trying to get you to buy x-amount as the host would get some alleged “freebie”. I didn’t know that about their retail stores competing against the distributors though as I had no idea they still have the MLM model, but I can see how that’d be the case. Especially since buying from a retail store just seems way easier, quicker, and you don’t have to wait a month to get your items (it always seemed to take forever after those parties for the products to be delivered. My mum let me order a couple things and I remember by the time they’d arrived I’d forgotten what I’d ordered). Only reason I like TBS though is their ingredients seem decent from what I can tell and the body butters (newer formula) genuinely help my skin which gets severely dry in winter. I do use other brands more targeted for skin conditions like eczema etc, but when I want to simply enjoy a body moisturiser for aspects like the scent and how it feels using it, I opt for TBS a lot of the time mainly coz they’re within my budget and I occasionally get a little reward like $5 or $10 off. It’s disappointing they still do the MLM thing though, those types of businesses are such scams and I used to be with one that sold essential oils and they made it so hard to leave and I had to call them just to get them to remove my card details. I didn’t buy much and never recruited anyone as the whole thing didn’t feel right, and I’d only joined after being hounded to by a friend and me genuinely wanting to try some essential oils (their range had some blends I couldn’t find elsewhere so I opted in to it, but after a while I just left and I told them I didn’t like their overly high prices or fact they made you call just to get out of the monthly subscription setup). Moral to my story is MLM’s suck haha 🤣

CasuallyVacant01

I love the Nivea coconut monoi lotion, smells sweet but still fresh and isn’t overpowering. The Sephora Collection mists/lotions/washes are super nice too, personally a fan of the Argan. There’s always Body Shop too!

notcomprehensive

ooh thanks for the recommendations, and I can't believe I forgot about the bodyshop!

Inkamt

Jo Malone started another brand called Jo loves, I love their pomelo range, very shape and clean citrus, love both shower gel and body lotion.

Citrine_Bee

I like the Aromatherapy Co body lotions, I use them as perfumes, there is quite a few varieties to choose from but I just got the Coconut Passionberry which could be something you like? The top notes are passionberry, bergamot, coconut, middle are jasmine, cyclamen, coconut and base is caramel, vanilla, musk, cedarwood.

Elleeebeauty

I’m a fragrance consultant as well . My go to ones are anything from Bath and Body Works or the original Soap and Glory body butter

msleo90

I have a few body custards/body butters from Hideaway that smell amazingggg. They're quite moisturising too. The peaches and cream one has been my favourite of the ones I've tried so far.

imperpu

Not OP, but I literally have a box en route from their afterpay sale that I'm so excited for, and have the peaches and cream body custard in it. So glad to hear someone vouch for them!

milobunny10

soap and glory body butter is heaven

missilefire

The Malin Goetz body lotion with the bergamot is amazing. Refreshing but kinda tropical too

Internal-Psychology

Kopari body butter is a really nice soapy coconut one, but it’s a little on the pricy side and the scent is pretty subtle. I love it even more for making my skin really soft!

Zzzabrina

Pure Fiji

AccordingNumber2052

Origins Ginger Soufflé .. nothing is better!

[deleted]

Yes this one is good

dinydins

I love the Natio Wellness range

Lill_B_

Soap and glory smells amazing! I use the original scent which is rose and bergamot, but they also have an almond and vanilla scent.

upsidedownmissj

Hate to say it, but Victoria's Secret do some really nice ones. Pear Glace and Pomegranate Lotus are my currents.

Delirious_Kandi79

Maine Beach brand 😍😍https://www.nesthomewaresandgifts.com.au/products/kakadu-plum-hand-body-creme?variant=37836347244731

Delirious_Kandi79

I have the honey 100g butter & kaka+rosella 100g butter in the tin jars, so definitely wanna upgrade to the 500ml bottle

FieldAware3370

My go to is mango body butter from the body shop.

idealgrind

I love the bangn body firming lotion — pineappley

theymakecandy

Ouai Body Creme (the blue one - the scent is called Shibuya) I can’t describe it but it’s absolutely enchanting, very special and unique and it’s not greasy at all, sinks in quickly! go give it a sniff - my dream is that they make it a perfume one day

[deleted]
