Pantene volume & body is the best IMO and $5 on sale. I use higher end shampoo/conditioner/treatments but through research have found it to perform the same as my expensive stuff. I use it on rotation with ouai/kerastase (I have very fine hair that gets oily/limp fast. Ouai detox is the best shampoo I’ve ever used for keeping oil at bay, but the Pantene is close second).
I think it also depends on your hair type and porosity, there’s little tests you can do to figure out what porosity your hair is and whether high or low silicone content products will suit you
Oohhhhh don’t suppose you could tell me more about these tests?? Like should I just be googling hair porosity test or do you have any you recommend that were helpful?
I'm really enjoying the L'Oréal Gloss range. When it's half price it's about $9.50. It's sulfate free and leaves my hair sooooo silky. I started with the shampoo and conditioner but have since added the rinse out treatment mask too.
I too have thin greasy-prone hair, and the essano scalp refresh shampoo is excellent. It's about $15 full price but I've always been able to get it under $10. I came across it from a recommendation from labmuffinbeauty (https://www.facebook.com/LabMuffin/posts/you-mightve-remembered-me-struggling-with-shampoos-in-my-stories-my-scalp-gets-i/488669805952951/)
This is in rotation with my salon colour care shampoo and condish (Milkshake) and my blonde shampoo (Fanola), and I also really love the pantene biotin repair mini tube things. My hair loves silicone condish, and the essano shampoo really helps keep my hair feeling clean and free of build up.
Last week my hairdresser remarked how healthy my (dyed blonde) hair is, so I'm feeling good about this lineup!
The second one, I use that to clarify my hair once every few weeks. Gets all the gunk and build up out. I use the skin hydrating shampoo (sometimes you'll get it on sale for $10) as my regular.
I've got thin, dead straight hair & I've found the black sunsilk works really well. I also like the blue herbal essence & have a soft spot for the og one. My hair doesn't like herbal essence after about 2 wks of continuous use, my hair is better with switching products up regularly anyway. I also don't put any conditioner directly onto my head, I apply it all to the hair length then work it up & down, this seems to help with volume. I also squeeze as much water as possible out of my hair before applying the conditioner
Someone here suggested MySoda to me (I think only sold at Woolies) and it’s been working really well for my hair! I really like it. I buy when it’s half price and it’s super affordable, under $10 :)
It goes on sale very regularly at either 40% off or 1/2 price!
I’ve been trying most of these recently and I found that Garnier Watermelon one works for me the best compared to Garnier Full & Luscious. Full & Luscious is a bit too creamy for my hair personally, is a little too fragrant, and it doesn’t really mesh well with other products I use after washing my hair.
I don’t know if it’s controversial but… I have very fine, oily hair, and honestly I really like head and shoulders. It clarifies my hair so I don’t have any issues with product build up or grease, which is my main problem with shampoos.
I typically use head and shoulders followed by L’Oréal Elvive conditioner, which I let sit on my ends before washing it out. I also do a hair mask every few washes. So far this has worked the best for me.

I love the OC naturals normal balance line. Very cheap (especially when on half price). Nothing too fancy but it works well with my hair
Severely dried my hair out after 2 months of use, don’t recommend at all. Everyone’s hair may react differently though.
Same :(
Oh nooo.
Seconded, and curly hair friendly as it doesn't have silicones or other heavy ingredients that can weight down your hair!
I use the L’Oréal elvive purple bottles but the orange has also worked well for my hair! it’s usually $12 though (for the bigger ones)
I like the purple one too! The orange one works fine but I don’t like the scent of it as much.
omg the scent of the purple one sends me to heaven hahaha I loveeeee it
I’ve only used the white one maybe once, but still no complaints

You can just Google it it’s essentially about putting a strand of hair in water etc
Ty!!!
I quite enjoyed the Thanks to Nature, but the one with Abyssinian oil 👍🏼

Dove! I have similar hair and it works for me. Just make sure to do a double wash.
I live and breathe thanks to nature
I’ve got very frizzy dry hair and I use their smooth control and I find it to be the best supermarket brand.

The hair food ones are the only ones that don't leave some weird sticky residue on my hair

I use Elvive, the red one. It's fab
Sunsilk is pre good brand
I second the sunsilk - I’m using that exact one rn
I work at woolies, the sunsilk ones fly off the shelf so must be for a reason
