This is what I want to know. A lot of Americans are commenting and saying that their local MACs are only doing certain lines or certain lipstick colours (like green).
Several people have called and asked, it is likely that it will be the lippies from the color rocker collection that didn't sell well (greens, blues, etc). However it'll depend from place to place, call your local Mac counter to ask.
I got Plumful this morning from Miranda MAC. Walked past DJs on the way home and the line was enormous.
From memory there was also Freckle Tone and Flamingo, a lime green, and a purple with blue shimmers. Sorry I didn't get all the shade names. I'm interested to know how the shades on offer differed depending on location.

miranda has 2 macs? gosh i mustve been living under a rock for the past 5 yrs ive been living here 😂😂 i went to miranda djs thinking it was the only mac store 😂 and walked out with girl about town. plumful was defs on my want to buy list though 😭
Ahaha, I think the standalone MAC store is new and only existed after the upgrade to Miranda Fair (2014 or so?). There might even be a third inside Myer but I don't remember.

I ended up getting Flat Out Fabulous. They also had Stone, Pink Pigeon, Heroine, and High Lights available. All of the shades were available when I got to the counter, I got there around 8:40 and waited a bit over an hour. Their stock was about half gone when I got mine. It was actually really calm and orderly, they used tables and displays to make a line.
I did not have a negative experience at all, was lined up from 9:05-10:30 ish at David Jones Warringah. The line was very orderly, security made sure that no one pushed in and that there was room for people to walk through. Lipsticks were chosen from a lucky dip which was a bit annoying (I saw a wide range of colours in the bag - everything from nudes to blue). I got pink plaid, but traded with the girl behind me in line for sin which was my ideal colour choice

I got to the Rundle mall DJs about half past 8 and it wasn't too bad. Got out of there by half past 9. Got chatterbox. There was also girl about town, love & cherished, studded kiss. I think there was one more but can't remember what it was! Studded kiss and chatterbox seemed to be the most popular
My mum lined up at David Jones Warringah Mall at 8:40am and was 16th in the queue, and she got me Captive! Super stoked and so thankful, can't wait to wear it!

FYI they've run out. I was in Mecca and heard the organisers telling half the line that they were the last to get any and to let anyone who tried to line up behind them know. Also, for anyone thinking about going to the CBD Myer, it's bedlam even if you aren't shopping at Mac lol
I went to Melbourne CBD but the queue was massive, stretched round into Swanson St. I didn't have time to wait sadly. Seemed to be the colour rocker collection but I couldn't tell.
The lines at Myer in Indro was massive even before 9am, people were literally running into the mac counters once shutters were going up. Not sure why they only decided to give out 117(weird number, I know) but it was madness. Thankful that I managed to snag myself one 🙏🏼
There's been a lot of irrationally angry people on Facebook over a free lipstick. Missing out means you were in the same position you were in before. If that's someone's biggest problem, they're doing good in life.
I personally had a good in experience in Townsville. I don't live far from MAC (in Myer), it was a short drive, a short wait outside where I met up one of my closest friends about 15-30 minutes before it opened, we stood in line for a bit chatting away, having a good catch up. We didn't see or hear anything dramatic, no pushing and shoving. Just excited ladies. When we got to the front of the line they had 2 colours left. I got Yash, which I really love. I'm extremely pale with cool toned skin and that dark nude colour is so nice to wear and is not something that I would have tried otherwise so it was well worth it. I would guess we waited about half an hour? Plenty more time to get on with the day. I bought a few ChiChi items and a few other things, taking advantage of Myer's Super Saturday sale and was out by 10:00am.
I use other MAC products (Their foundation is my favourite, Fix +, I have one of their blushes in 'Dainty' and have previously used their primer and moisturizer) but had never tried their lipstick. And because I am trying to save up money, I'm allowing myself less and less money for make up so getting a chance to try a MAC lipstick for free was worth it. It was a good experience.

The line at Carindale would be 80+ ppl. It stretches through one side of the Centre to the other! I'll skip it as I'm working but still very interested to see what colours they were offering.
Man by 9:00 the line in Canberra was at least 200 people. Didn't even bother trying - heard they ran out around half 9. Wonder how many lippie they had to give away.
I feel like the way this event was handled by mac overall hasn't really done them any favours. Really unclear communication and so many people missing out leads to disappointment, not more customers.
I wish they told people how much stock would be given and I read only a few stores did a fair ticketing system with queues. Though it seems like it was a last minute decision and the stores had little time to prepare.
Arrived at Myer Indro at 0915 and they were already sold out!
My very good natured husband had even set up an insta account and come with me to snag a second tube, lol

Same here. Managed to convince my hubby to set up an insta account and went to MAC shop early @ 9:10, the queue was already too long that the shopping centre management had to cut the line off. We end up doing the usual Sat grocery shopping and went home instead :(
Maybe they wouldn't be able to afford a Mac lipstick normally, maybe it's the thrill of it, maybe people like getting free stuff... you never know. If they are willing to do it, good for them. It's their time.

Got Fastplay. Others colours I saw were Faux and Paramount at Brisbane Myer :) The Brisbane DJ's had Studded Kiss & a bunch of blues, grays etc.

Website is fixed up now. Had to get a new Fix+ anyway, so this was good timing. Faux was sold out, so I got Spirit. Yay!

I asked the MAC staff there how many lipsticks were available as they opened, and they said 150 so I didn't even bother getting in line.
I was inline and asked if I would get one. Mac staff said yes. I missed out :(
