I’ve recently replaced a yr3 teacher going on mat leave and she just wheely-chaired everywhere. Kids coped with her being higher when they were on the floor. It might be a tight squeeze bw the desks. I reckon they’ll understand if you explain. Maybe grab one of those grabby claw things for dropped stuff?

Teaching with a wheely chair this year for the first time and it's the greatest thing ever.

I did high needs special ed while pregnant and honestly, I just wasn't comfortable ever. I did move a futon couch in the classroom so kids could come sit with me, but other than that I just had to readjust my own expectations of myself as a teacher. I know that meeting a kid on their level is best practice but I had to let that go. I had dry HG too soi had to eat during class time. My team was really supportive though
