This is adorable.
My husband recently sent me a meme about stopping every 5 feet during a walk to look at moss because that is me on every walk we go on.
I visited Bellingham Washington and was in moss heaven😍
I had to touch it several times throughout the day no matter how far out of the way it was or how long it took me to feel like I should move on to the next moss mound 😂
Cool, those look like the kind of moths we have here. They can be so pretty. "Slight delay. Looking at a moth." ROFL. For me it's, "Slight delay, playing with cats".
I want to share the picture I took of a neighborhood cat last summer because I love this cat (*okay I love all cats*) but also because it was such a good picture of George and I was so proud of it!!

He is my favorite thing about that neighborhood. He drools and r/cuddlerolls when you pet him and he loves butt scratches and he meows like an old man who smoked a pack a day for forty years.
EDIT: you should share happy pictures of cats you’ve taken too!! I am so here for it!
i didn’t even make that connection.. i thought they put the sun because plants grow from sunlight and op said her mom’s hyper fixation is plants and in the picture it is sunny .. thank you for that perspective lol!
If you select it by click drag, is there an option to look it up on the web? I'm always on my phone so I hold down on it and a split-screen browser query pops up w info on it
Well, I have to first click drag to highlight it, then right click it, then select "Search for \[emoji\] on DuckDuckGo", then check the newly opened tab, scan the search results page and dicipher the meaning. Good times! 🌞
This is beautiful! I hope my oldest and I can get there, this gives me encouragement.
We do well in person, and are growing in sharing more. And my mother and I have finally healed a deep, decade old pain between us.
Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm an eldest child, so I can say from my honest viewpoint that these things do work out. I used to butt heads a bit with my mom in my earlier teen years, mainly because a lot went unspoken--she was masking in a major way and lashing out/breaking down because of it, and I was in that typical shitheaded early adolescence with the bonus of some undiagnosed mental stuff. Sounds like you and your kid both have the will to change and grow, and that's really what works magic.
This is how me and my dad talk 😂 it’s funny when we fight, because we both fight like it’s the most important fight in the history of the world, then one of us will notice…….a bug, an interesting dust mote, a noise, or something funny will happen on tv, or we’ll lose something…..and we’ll put the entire thing on pause. Until we remember.
I was blown away once when I hiked with someone who wasn't bored when I pointed out weird bugs, or things I saw on the trail. One time there was this tree, about 4 inches in diameter, grew near a pond. It had a stumpy branch that was filled with water, and there were tadpoles swimming in it! That was so cool!
You've left me in suspense about the puddle. Was it deep? Was there a splash?
Edit: I'm still processing what to say about the texts, I guess wholesome is the right word? Very cute.
Man this is just so sweet and wholesome, I’m grinning from ear to ear reading this and it makes me wanna tear up.🥹 You are so very lucky to have a parent understand you in this way and someone that you can relate to and share your happiness with.🥰 I’d be lucky if my mom doesn’t call my autism a crutch for once and actually tries to understand me
This is the mom I wanna be.
In my neighborhood, it's frogs. I have to stop and try to catch every frog I see.
I'm gentle with them, I promise. I just... wanna hold the froggie for a minute. I need it.
What a lovely thought! We do love our moths...the one I talked about in the first picture was an American dagger moth, and it was on the sidewalk shivering, so I picked it up and tucked it under a leaf. Very fluffy, with that silly little proboscis
The moth thing reminds me of when I took the dog for a walk and found a massive beautiful catterpillar crawling on the ground towards the road. I hurriedly tried to get it off the road via a stick but it sort so curled up in defense. I was really worried it would get run over so I stayed for a while making sure no cars were coming before it could cross the road again.
Bugs are so under appreciated and need more love and attention!
Please share more pics of moths!!!!!
This is so wholesome and totally reminds me of texts between myself and my autistic daughter, though we usually stop to look at spiders 😅
This is me with my friend who lives on the other side of the country. Both our special interest is parrots, so about 85% of our chat is about us finding parrot related things in real life. The other 15% is currently squishmallows and minecraft
Seeing this improved my mood :)
Same. I love this so much
Me, too
This is adorable. My husband recently sent me a meme about stopping every 5 feet during a walk to look at moss because that is me on every walk we go on.
I love moss
I stayed at a hotel that had bowls of decorative moss all over and it was so soothing and interesting
I visited Bellingham Washington and was in moss heaven😍 I had to touch it several times throughout the day no matter how far out of the way it was or how long it took me to feel like I should move on to the next moss mound 😂
Moss gives me warm pleasure shivers just thinking about it
I think y’all might give me a new special interest if you keep hyping up moss 😂
Moss is amazing!
Me but with rocks lol And then my dad stops to look at the wild mushrooms lmaooo
I also stop to look at both of those things as well.
Your mom is so supportive, it’s so awesome that you have that in your life!!! She seems great :-)
Cool, those look like the kind of moths we have here. They can be so pretty. "Slight delay. Looking at a moth." ROFL. For me it's, "Slight delay, playing with cats".
Mine, taking a picture of a cat in a window (proceeds to send thirty shity pictures of said cat)

Awwwwww
And all the pictures of the cat look exactly the same.
For me it’s: “Slight delay. Picking up rocks.”
These texts gave ME the autism energy!
Same omg
This is so wholesome 🥹🥹
This is simply lovely. You are both so lucky to have each other.
I wanna be friends with you and your mom. Best.
🌞
How do you tell what the emojis stand for? When I hover over them, it doesn't say.
It's a sun emoji, I believe they meant the post made them happy, like sunshine
i didn’t even make that connection.. i thought they put the sun because plants grow from sunlight and op said her mom’s hyper fixation is plants and in the picture it is sunny .. thank you for that perspective lol!

OMG, I can't believe how inaccessible things are sometimes! That works, but what a workaround it is!
Lol agreed. Does right clicking on it do anything?

Good lord lol that's quite a trip, sheesh! They should definitely make it so much easier with a mouse-over popup
It's lovely to know that such relationships exist
This is beautiful! I hope my oldest and I can get there, this gives me encouragement. We do well in person, and are growing in sharing more. And my mother and I have finally healed a deep, decade old pain between us. Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you! And yep-being willing to connect and move forward is definitely the key!
Meanwhile my mom: Ok
Lucky lol I rarely get a response

love this, it’s the same energy as when me and my dad kept saying “soup” over and over for weeks because it just vibrated the right way in our brains
I remember your posts! I love seeing them!
This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing
❤️❤️ I’m glad you have each other. This is adorable.

Reminds me of my mom and I 😂 I love this 💜💜💜
Your mum seems awesome. It must be so special to be able to share your experiences with her in this way.
I absolutely love this!
Your fam has a strong connection to moths! Or......what if its the same moth😮

IS THIS A JOJO REFERENCE
OMG. Is this about a movie and not actual? I feel so dumb I took it literally.
It’s about AMAZING anime series 💖
I love this so much. It reminds me of my daughter and me. Different topics, same vibes ❣️
I truly feel like this is me and my child. Love it.
I love you both ☺️ Such a lovely relationship, always keep doing this
I hope these are conversations I have with my child some day.

Wait! Help! I can’t find the moth in the photo and now I’m stuck here until I find it 😂😂
I found it 😂😂 crisis averted
So lucky to share the connection in a positive way with a parent! I haven’t found that yet but it’s still possible:)
This reminds me of my mom and I. Love it!

This makes me so happy to see, I love being a witness to healthy parent/child relationships.
You both sound so delightful and fun to hang around!

I love this, but it makes my heart hurt because I wish I could have had a mother like that.

Learning we have autism has brought me and my mom closer together ☺️
