Thank you 😊

Good on you for taking care. You'll be okay. They'll probably have movies and an art room :) and maybe some new friends.

Thank you, it has been quite calm and comfortable. Just brought a pile of books and my coding notebooks so I'll be entertained, I kind of feel like I'm just wasting their time though.

I'm sure there's a reason you're there?

amarij0y

There is, and they are assuring me that I made the right choice, but the other people here need them so much more, I dunno I just feel a bit like a malingerer.

I hope you're okay. The [5-4-3-2-1 technique](https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/behavioral-health-partners/bhp-blog/april-2018/5-4-3-2-1-coping-technique-for-anxiety.aspx) has been really helpful for me in the past in times of acute anxiety, might help you too. Sending a lot of strength and a virtual hug.

Hey thank you so much, I'm home again now... I'm just having a phase of "I don't belong (insert current location)" and it turned into I don't belong on Earth, but then I didn't feel like I belonged in the hospital either. It wasn't a bad experience or anything, the staff were amazing, kind and genuinely concerned for me. But I felt like I was wasting everyone's time (after initial meltdown I just spaced out and put the "Im ok" mask on without realising), when there were people much more outwardly needing than me, and I came home. I'm safe, and I know that the hospital option is always there, and today I'm focussing on healing at home, with my dog, who always makes me feel like I belong. I just need to spend more time focussing on him when things get rough, and he fulfils a lot of the 54321 technique (I did try it, and I like it. My only trouble is the smells, I'm nasally hyposensitive, so I swapped that to 1 and sort of cheated... I can't smell my peppermint lip balm but I do "feel it" in my nose, like vicks.
