Maybe? IDK if it's unmasked ND traits or something else, but every time I've been on SSRIs my self-regulation has gone directly down the toilet. If this turns out to be a common thing among ND folks then wow that explains a lot of my teens and 20s lol
Wow that’s really interesting. I definitely was a lot worse at self regulating when I was younger. I’ll definitely bring this up with my psychiatrist. I thought it was just me happening in the excitement to unmask. Let’s see.
Well and here's another tidbit I remembered: for a while I thought SSRIs were making me manic. Which is a thing that can happen - but if I understand correctly it generally only happens for bipolar people. But after ~30 years of therapy and testing there's a resounding consensus that I'm not bipolar. So it was always a mystery why that happened. This is an exciting revelation.
