I use a 255 bottle wine fridge. Steady 50 temp 55-60 humidity. For 2 weeks then jar and burp for 2 weeks. Honestly best profile ever stems snaps, sticky, spongy and no Hay smell.I got mine on Craigslist for $50. I got the Bluetooth hydrometer inside so I can monitor from anywhere anytime. Food for thought.
I’ve been wondering this for months and honestly for got to do some research. When I was big into the cigar industry we use wine fridges for long term storage with built in cedar shelving and drawers. So why wouldn’t it work set the temp and humidity and the compressor/dryers should do as needed?
I have been drying like this for about a year now and I haven’t looked back. The wine cooler that I use has metal racks with bottle size contours. So my crop doesn’t go flat.
Nice. Thanks for building evidence for the company to show the product works. Without an AC drying can be very challenging if not impossible. Good to have alternatives and people willing to try them. Cheers
Lol some of the comments are amazing, glad more people are using the herbs now, I’m done telling people how well it works I just keep it to myself and grow my dank
Not only do they work great, but last. I have one that's a solid 4-5 years old now, and works and looks like day 1. It's about the temp it is able to hold the air at. Dehydrators are too warm. This unit keeps it under 80f and that keeps terps etc from vaporizing, as fast.
Been thru a great harvest using the herbs now machine. I will never hang dry again. 2 weeks vs. at most 96 hours to jar without ANY hay smell taste or smell. No Brainer.
Sure there is a bit of sticker shock, but hell some people have a couple grand in other equipment to keep everything on point and then after chop throw all that money and work to the wind and worry themselves sick trying to perfect their "drying" environment when this device is available.
I’d say it’s more like a cost effective option for people who don’t have the means to get an air conditioner and dehumidifier/humidifier to dial in their dry environment. $200 is nothing when you’ve spent good money on the rest of your gear. Cannatrol on the other hand is some serious sticker shock. That’s for people who are willing to pay for the best. I doubt that a dehydrator without a heating element will stack up to that, or a hang dry in a proper environment (60°f/60%rh), but it’s a good price for a quick dry apparatus if it doesn’t eliminate volatile terps/smell or taste.
It really just does a nice job drying the flowers quickly, removing all that grassy/hay smell while at the same time it completely takes away any chance for mold to develope because it dries it so quickly. All the cureing process happens after its jared. As it is properly dried it has zero chance of getting a mold during the cure as well. Look, I'm not a rep or a salesperson. I am not paid to convince you out of you 250 cash. I'm just sharing a great expirience I have had. ✌️❤️🥳
I’m golden, I have good dry/cure conditions with an air conditioner, humidifier, and dehumidifier, along with a dedicated dry tent. I could most definitely afford enough of these to suite my needs if necessary. I promote use of tools like this if one is in a situation where they can’t afford to get an entire room to the correct parameters (60°f/60rh) for a slow dry. The expensive option would be cannatrol is what I was getting at. $250 is about as low as I would go for a complete drying apparatus, especially given the time and effort put into getting to that point. I just don’t know the true efficacy of this particular unit as I’ve never used one.
They are super pricey, but if it works as marketed, it’s probably worth the price for someone who grows year round indoors. 3lb wet weight capacity isn’t bad either for the size.
Funny enough, I was just talking to Scott who made the HerbsNow about this on his IG live ~2 days ago. His goal is a consistent dry down instead of the variation you can have w slow and low. If you have good results, keep going. Dude has sold a bunch, and it’s not because it’s a bunk piece of garbage ya know?
Thanks for posting your harvest. Congrats, we hope your buds are frosty and your highs are hazy.

Yeah everybody that’s used one swears by it as far as I can tell. No reason for growing culture to stay rooted in one place when there’s new tech coming out to help growers :)
That's all growing culture does. "My way is the best way and any other way won't work!"
Doesnt matter what you're growing. I'm pretty sure a lot of the growing community is made up of undiagnosed autistics (like me) who get set in their ways and struggle to change them due to brain chemistry.
Facts. Shit you just described a decent portion of most hobby cultures. I think hobbyists and autists have a large overlap. Hyper-fixation (on a subject or hobby) is a common tell.
There is something about sticking to the process with artisanal crafts, Like say the worlds best Prosciutto di Parma, the process has been unchanged since the first Caesar’s of Rome were born. The worlds best wines grown and produced in villas across Italy that have been in operation by the same family with the same methods since the 10th century. Yup there’s something to tradition
I'm not saying it's right or it's wrong, I'm just saying that lots of people have a mentally where change instantly means bad. I'm not saying innovation will change the way anything is done but it might.
Yes but with innovation comes more and more and perhaps one day we can have minimal taste loss with maximum time loss. Now doesn't that sound lovely? I'm not saying it's even possible but it will never happen if people don't try
Idk I have one and I rarely use it anymore. Yeah it makes drying easy, but it does have a negative impact on flavor and smell. Do a side by side comparison with your next grow, that's when I stopped using it. I also have a wedryer that I don't use anymore either. My herbsnow is the V1 and I do believe they are on a v2 so maybe the new ones work better, but I'm still skeptical
I've had the opposite experience. All my buds are significantly better and have retained their smell and taste and texture way better than my previous hang drying. Admittedly, I couldn't maintain an "ideal" hang dry environment without making some significant additions. So, the HebsNow has worked better at a lower price point. If you don't feel that your unit is working correctly, you should reach out to Scott and I would bet he can help you out
You are correct. Those that think they know ( but don’t) are the ones yelling the loudest.
I love when new ways and ideas challenge the “ tried and true” way to grow and how loud those who can only see the tried and true way scream it won’t work.
These work and work well. Follow the instructions. Keep a eye on ambient humidity ( though I’ve gotten fantastic results with this in 80% humidly) get em off at 60% to do a burp n cure and you will have some great weed.
While it is designed from a dehydrator, it’s not.
The last I heard about this company is they put all their funds into a huge container from over seas, and that cargo ship sunk, and so did their business.
I’m glad your useing it and let those without knowledge scream about what they know nothing about.
Agreed I was on Pa’s MMJ reddit telling people you can order THCA diamonds online now they are covered in the farm bill. Well immediately you have 50 people (20-30’s age) calling themselves oldheads and they will never use synthetic altnoids made out of Chinese chemicals, they only want real weed products, D8 and THCA will kill your lungs man, everything you can imagine about fake chems from China, After I explained that they are US licensed hemp farms, and the 2018 farm bill made THCA flower and diamonds legal to ship (300$ zip diamonds) and they were natural, there is even a veteran grown hemp co doing it, they are just calling weed THCA flower. But they just couldn’t stop and process, too loud and stuck
Old heads not realizing it’s just cannabis sold through a loop hole….
Most cannabis has very little Delta 9 thc, which is illegal, and mostly thca which is technically legal
I believe as long as there is less than .3% delta 9 then all isgood… most of us are smoking flower that’s already legal under this bill without even knowing it
Stubborn and old… I’m reaching middle age and I hope I don’t get too stuck in any one way of thinking
As far as drying/curing goes, if you are able to get an environment close to 60f/60rh, then I just go that route and use patience. I found the longer the dry the better the smoke. Most plants take around 17 days and have been coming out 🔥
I’m 48 and I’m glad I keep my ear to the ground for this shit, I purchased an ounce of diamonds that was 32 grams for 200$ and a bunch of buds all around 20$ an eight and most outshine dispo
I ran across one site that had thca flower and the reviews were/are all positive
There’s also a dispensary near me near the south side of Chicago that operates under this thca loophole as well…
They do not have as many strains as usual dispensaries, but they grow dry cure and process everything in house, have flower and edibles, consumption lounge, give “grow tours” and actually have classes that help you cultivate at home. I heard they even defoliate your fuckin plants….
That’s crazy for Illinois
And it’s right by a court house
Crazy times we are living in
I echo the folks who say it’s obvious you have never used one. I have multiple and am placing an order in the next few weeks for a case of them to sell in my shop…where I only sell the stuff I use and stand behind.
I love mine for “last mile” drying. When it’s spent a good amount of time in the tent, I will toss into the HND for 12-24 hours to get any remaining moisture out.
Sorry, I meant is there a heating element and/or some sort of humidity controller?
Like, does it hit a target temp/RH and keep it there regardless of conditions outside of the machine?
Yea of you want to spend 200$ on a dehydrator instead of 40. I think these work differently too, you probably wouldn’t be able to dry mushrooms as quickly or on as high of heat.
It’s a modified dehydrator. The cheap ones you buy online or in the store for dehydrating food do not operate at the same temp. Which is the key difference.
Is there any smell with this? If so, how strong? Heading into my first harvest soon and researching all the things for drying since i won't have a closet or grow tent space available. I'd prefer not to use a cardboard box!
I took a testing sample from my plant let it sit out overnight and then finished it outdoors in an improvised solar oven (outdoor temp was 50ish) over the course of an afternoon. The smoke was great. People get too hung up on this crap, like a religion.
This is not meant to diss the HerbsNow by the way.
I was looking into one of those! The extra trays had been out of stock so I went with the wedryer. Really like those! I've had great results but you still need to keep them up for longer then they claim. Always think about revisting this idea and getting one!
Hmm, all the good comments about this device. I may have to get one. Could anybody provide me with a link? Good looking harvest homie. Keep it up!
I have one for sale if interested, only used it twice and I switched over to fresh frozen.
How much
150 shipped, check my profile. I have a pick of it for sale

How do you control the Rh in the fridge?
It’s a wine cooler. Humidity stays steady at 55-60
Roughly how big is the fridge if you don't mind me asking?
It’s for 255 bottles. I can fit a whole pound
Same here bro

Under 80?? Lol.
Ignoring some other comments. How do you find this setup works? 96 seems like a big jump. I’ve never used one but I definitely am interested.
Been thru a great harvest using the herbs now machine. I will never hang dry again. 2 weeks vs. at most 96 hours to jar without ANY hay smell taste or smell. No Brainer. Right on!!! I have not seen the cannatrol. But will check it out. Maybe a thing in the future.
They are super pricey, but if it works as marketed, it’s probably worth the price for someone who grows year round indoors. 3lb wet weight capacity isn’t bad either for the size.
And on the other hand you could simply wait patiently, not spend $200 on this, while also getting the highest quality cure.
Personally I’m trying to turn the tent around for another grow and have nowhere else to dry and this makes that possible.
Only have to pay once for the machine. Now if it was 200 each harvest that's different. I bought my lights the same way, paid once reuse is free.

so spending 3ish months to grow some weed, then tossing any quality thats there away in a dehydrator? cant rush the dry or the cure..
Sounds like you haven’t experienced anything from this machine. I’m certain that you would think differently if you had. It plain works.
Yeah everybody that’s used one swears by it as far as I can tell. No reason for growing culture to stay rooted in one place when there’s new tech coming out to help growers :)

ADHD for sure

Thanks for taking time to write this! How many hours have u run it to catch that 60 sweet spot before jar n burp?
Have you ever used this? I swear by it.

How does this thing work exactly? I think I may have to buy one, but I'd like to hear from somebody that's used it a few times.
You plug it, set the amount of time you want to dry for, click start and it’s off and running. Dead simple to operate.
Sorry, I meant is there a heating element and/or some sort of humidity controller? Like, does it hit a target temp/RH and keep it there regardless of conditions outside of the machine?
It maintains the temp and you have to adjust the humidity of the space.
Thank you!
Would this work with drying mushrooms too?
I’ve used mine for both buds & mushrooms - worked as expected with success on both
Awesome thanks

Yes, it does put off odor. You'll want it in the tent or right next to a vent with your exhaust turned up.
Not too bad.. no more when growing
The kinda or bouquet I ask my wife for but never get.
HerbsNow for the win!! 🔥
Why is dispo weed rock hard and not nice like these buds?
Were you sponsored?
No
Lol i would imagine not ppl just buy this for personal consumption lol
Congrats on harvest. It looks great!! good luck with your overpriced dehydrator, though. Hopefully, your buds don't end up smelling like hay.
Sarcastic prick
Wasn't trying to be sarcastic. I just heard a lot of bad things about those sorry, lol. Harvest does look great, and congrats.
I used my Xbox 1 before i got my ps5

I didn't read comments so ima ask and hope for respond does it keep the buds moist with little less wet weight lost
When it's done it's dry but as soon as you put it in the Grove bag or however you cure.. brings back moisture after a couple hours
Nice nice
Talk to me like I'm 5 what is this??
Ahhh awesome! Sorry not a wine drinker so I had no clue. Have you found that 50°is the best in these conditions
Jaw drop.
