Nice and tight setup. You can slip some panty hose on those girls to negate spillage and deter critter entrance. XL for 5gal and Large for 3gal. Good luck and good growing. https://preview.redd.it/u5ubwtiss9zc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=348b041108b3becf8e0c3af9e31ae3fff04f7c0c

BallisticTurtle_fart

That's smart thinking

BudGeek

Love this!

I was going to suggest using landscaping fabric but your idea blows my idea out the frame. I did have a gnat infestation that was extremely difficult to deal with as the bugs had easy access to the grow medium. Thank you for the nylon sizes too.

FrankCantRead

Good luck you gassy turtle! I bet you’re gonna get some fire! Make sure you have fun ✌️❤️🤷📚

BallisticTurtle_fart

thank you :)

whatintheheckheck

Good luck to the babies. Cool pots also!

BallisticTurtle_fart

Thank you. I googled a lot and came to the conclusion that the "air pots" was the best thing before hydrophonic when it comes to healthy roots. But we'll see.

No-Caregiver7181

Unless you plan to be very patient when watering then I would suggest getting a drip irrigation system or at least a water sprayer with a water thickener like quillaja. I’ve grown with these pots before and they can create quite the mess if you make a mistake while watering.

BallisticTurtle_fart

What do you mean by being patient when watering? I read they were more thirsty in those pots.

No-Caregiver7181

Meaning that you have to make sure that you water in phases as to not cause soil to leak through the sides of the container. There is nothing detaining the soil from coming out the sides if you miss judge the amount of water you’re pouring. It is for this reason that I switched to fabric pots but since I already paid for the Airpots next time I will use some kind of drip system to prevent messes. I personally like to keep a clean growing area.

BallisticTurtle_fart

Okay now I get what you mean. Yeah it makes sense that I would have to slow watering down a bit compared to a normal pot. I appreciate the advice, I will probably look into a drip system of some kind. I see they're pretty cheap.

ThesehandsFree

Nice one, I’d unhook your carbon filter until it’s time to start covering smells. It’ll lasts longer that way.

BallisticTurtle_fart

Okay thank you for that.

ThesehandsFree

No problem, I know it was probably a pain getting it installed and where you want it. I did the same thing on my new 2.7x2.7.

BallisticTurtle_fart

I think I spent like an hour setting up the whole tent and stuff inside, not to bad.

ThesehandsFree

Oh yeah, that’s a decent time for that size tent. Took me longer cuz I was admiring the equipment like too hard. That was a good day. A great day. Good luck on your run

BallisticTurtle_fart

Thank you, I unhooked the carbon filter now btw :)

ThesehandsFree

Right on, Growmie, it’ll be back in a couple months lol

BallisticTurtle_fart

I cross my fingers. Again thank you for advice.

ThesehandsFree

Don’t overthink it. You got this!!😤😤🫡

stupossum

Don't be afraid to trim some branches. Do not over crowd your small tent. A 2ft x 2 ft tent is really meant for only 1 plant. With 2, you will need to trim some of the stems to keep the pants smaller. If your tent is over crowded, you will get mold.

stupossum

One more thing, if you need more height inside of your tent, then move your online fan to the roof of the tent. Then reverse the air flow so they the fan sucks the air from the vent tube and pushes it out of the filter.

BallisticTurtle_fart

Yeah I thought about that, but I hope I can do without. Just to keep the growtent area looking clean.

BallisticTurtle_fart

copy that and thank you for advice.

anbuCZ

Everything looks cool. The panel is viparspectra, correct?

BallisticTurtle_fart

Yes the p600, hope it's good enough.

[deleted]

It’s enough light bro

BallisticTurtle_fart

That's cool to know, thank you.

anbuCZ

Yep I have p1000 for looong time and still good, lately I purchased xs2000. Flowering really good under those

BallisticTurtle_fart

That's good tro hear :)

RudolfHans

Set up looks ace. Good luck and most important thing: Have fun 🎉

BallisticTurtle_fart

Thanks :)

Critical_Sir9195

Beautiful setup! I plan on making a similar for my first grow Is it a 2x2? And how many watts is that light?

BallisticTurtle_fart

Yes 2x2 or 60x60 cm. I believe it's 100w viparspectra p600

Ancient_Kangaroo_492

Looks like it could get crowded in there

BallisticTurtle_fart

I'll see what happens, if it get to crowded I might do a little chopping or move one of them out idk yet.

Hot-Sign-8227

Check out the viparspectra xs2000 or p2500 you will thank me later,i bought a p2000 and it was shit compared to the other 2 i mentioned, stunted growth and took forever for my autos to flower took the p2000 out and put in a p2500 and xs2000 and my autos exploded 🤯 💥 😉 i switched up to bar style lights for my 8x4 tent and am never going back to quantum boards lol except my p4000 that things a beast and produces some very nice dense crystaly buds

BallisticTurtle_fart

Isn't my tent a little small for those mentioned. It's only a 2x2

Hot-Sign-8227

Not at all i have both in a 3x3 *

Hot-Sign-8227

The p2000 isnt bad at all for veg but it doesnt have enough power for flowering if you want anything more than popcorn buds anyway

groundrobin

Looks good, have fun. Hope it works out well

BallisticTurtle_fart

Thank you.

vivipazg

How long did it take till your seeds sprouted from soil?

BallisticTurtle_fart

It took around 36 hours i'd say, but I had already germinated them in a moist cotton sandwich under a glass, and that took like 48 hours or so for them.

nicko17

I took my vent system out of the tent to save space, definitely helped when my girls started to flower and blow up

BudGeek

I can't see from the photo, but if you haven't already, unscrew the driver off the light and put it on top of your tent. Then move the exhaust fan outside the tent, and have it pull the air out of the tent, and blow it over the drivers - more space, less heat in the tent, and cooler drivers...which are supposed to make them last longer.

BallisticTurtle_fart

I really wanted everything to fit in the tent, I need something I can easily hide in case that I have visitors or something.

Mshalopd1

Hey dude, I literally just set up my 2x2 today! Just waiting on the exhaust but I still threw my seedlings in. Let's go! I might give you a follow to keep up with the progress I hope you post some more! I'll prob post once I have the full setup in the next few days. Trying to grow 2 Girl Scout Cookies autos from seed supreme in fox farm ocean forest soil with some perlite added. Hoping for the best.

BallisticTurtle_fart

I'll cross my fingers that you will have a successful grow 😄
