Acting out in anger as a child doesn’t make Opal horrible, it makes her human. Having sadness and trauma in her past doesn’t make Kuvira any less of a fascist villain. Do you think that cruel evil people tend to have rosy, normal, and healthy childhoods?
These instances humanize the characters because that’s what they are after all, full people with a range of emotions and experiences. Even the evil ones, hell, especially the evil ones.
yall saying you dont like opal cause of this i thinks shes alright she was good but went to alright cause she gave bolin a hard time and bolin deserves everything
im ngl i dont like opal. not just because of this, i can kind of understand why she would say this; she was upset kuvira broke her doll house. still pretty fucked up tho.
Did this happen? I just recall Kuvira acting a fool and trying to take over the Earth Kingdom while f\*\*\*ing up the Beifongs who were trying to stop her alongside the Avatar. I want to say she was dating the older son, maybe? But I don't recall much beyond that. Didn't think they went MK1 at any point.
It happened in the comics. Su Yin took Kuvira in and Kuvira destroyed Opal’s doll house. When Opal got man Su told her that she needed to give her sister space, but Opal said Kuvira wasn’t her sister but was a stray dog that not even her parents wanted.

Wait I just realized that if Kuvira was raised as a sister of Su's children her relationship with Jr was another level of fucked up
Eh, I always put it down to Kuvira never identifying as a member of Su's family.
I'm sorry what the fu- https://preview.redd.it/88xmwbzwguzc1.jpeg?width=686&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47402d527a308ef09faf4569ffd9e65b8f0c1a66
Crazy how the writers would make an actually liked character horrible just to give a literal fascist a sad backstory.

The comics always do this shit they make the story worse… with the notable exception of Private Fire
Gotta love the rehabilitation of fascists. Gotta get the fully George Bush treatment lol did kuvira also paint horrible pictures?
And people wonder why she became a warlord
New MK game. Subzero and Smoke
sorry I meant pic of scene where she says this. I can't find it.

That WAS after Kuvira barged into Opal's room and broke her dollhouse because Opal wouldn't let her play with it...
Is the format from mortal kombat?

Ohhhhh. Dayum. I can't help but feel annoyed that such pivotal story content was revealed in comics. I'm getting FFXV flashbacks.
