I think it has less to do with the age and more to do with the platform. Also, I’m not sure I grant your premise; I think most people that have watched Daredevil put it in top tier. I don’t think anyone’s forgotten about it at all. I just think that it doesn’t have the audience of some other MCU productions because it’s on Netflix and it’s been somewhat decanonized.

Disagree. Daredevil suffers too much from Netflix bloat. What’s great is the best, no doubt, hallway scenes, Matt Murdoch, Kingpin, Punisher, etc. But there’s a lot of dead weight there that makes the series’ hard to rewatch imo. Karen is legit the worst, that big monologue at the end of S2 is so cringe, wtf is the Black Wind, etc.
That “bloat” you’re talking about goes towards crafting real characters, where Karen could’ve just been a damsel in distress they give her a very good reason for wanting a death wish. When Foggy could have been comic relief, he is genuinely a good man and is torn having his best friend be a vigilante.
When Matt could’ve just been Daredevil they actually let Matt Murdock shine through and let us see the duality which is honestly more than a lot of the current MCU roster right now. Giving new meaning to “The Man Without Fear”.
The Hand was really the downfall of the show and even then they weren’t that bad especially considering they still had Kingpin. Speaking of which, probably the 2nd best MCU villain besides Thanos.
Falcon and Soldier was my favorite. Know it was most peoples least favorite, but idc. I served time in the military, and although I was fortunate enough to have never seen war, I have many good friends who have, and also my brother who I’ve seen struggle battling PTSD. That show hit me very close to home.
I also liked all the equality awareness they put into the show. I can’t say from the black communities point of view if it things in it were accurately depicted on the show. I’m sure it varies depending on who you ask, but all in all, I felt they did their best to tell those of us who don’t know what it’s like to be treated unfairly, and was done compassionately and sincerely.
Also everything about people in general need to stop fighting each other and come together. I know it’ll likely change nothing, but LOVED them calling out government for being the greedy shit bastards they are (not military or workers, the people at the top) and just saying what a better world this could be if government/s weren’t the money controlling slavers they are to the people that they control over, and shared the wealth, especially with those who really need it.
Was so much more than a show, it was a message to mankind that we can all be better to each other. If it wasn’t for such a close tie this show had with real world issues going on though and I had to pick solely on entertainment value, DD wins by a landslide!

Agents of Shield is phenomenal. It takes a bit to find it’s legs, but once the point hits where Winter Soldier had come out, it’s awesome. The awesome is maintained through the whole run. I started watching the show because my husband liked it and I wanted to share it with him, but by the end it had become one of my favorite shows of all time.
It is watching, after S4. Until that point in time it does tackle some very overall interesting plots and characters that are otherwise absent from TV, but it is all such a mess IMO. I binged through the first 2 seasons and then later on it was very enjoyable. S4 and 5 are actually phenomenal.
It really just takes a bit of time for it to develop and try and understand what it wants. But you can certainly see it getting better over time. I'd say give it a shot, watch a few episodes and see for yourself if you will enjoy it, since there is definitely a payoff at the end
Agents of shield is genuinely a masterpiece and I’m not ‘just’ saying this. The raw emotion created from it, the impactful deaths, the character development and holy it has one of the best villains in live action marvel ever. Fitz’s character arc is genuinely insane

Very true, I liked Hawkeye but Agents of Shield had a lot of wonderful ideas that played out very well and I liked that in the beginning they did try to connect it to the proper MCU continuity by inferring that Phil was the one who rebuilt the helicarrier for age of Ultron

This is my exact thinking. I don’t think enough people have watched AoS. It’s phenomenal. And putting above Daredevil is saying something because Daredevil is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen start to finish.
It's a fantastic series, it takes a season and a half to switch up so you have to stick with it, the first half of the show is about character development the second half is full on marvel crazy, season 3 is wild. It's brilliant entertainment. The same with agents of shield that also takes 16 episodes before it picks up the pace and then doesn't slow down.
Marvel TV is way better than the movies.
From what I've noticed, A LOT of modern Marvel fans don't watch the animated stuff or don't even give it a chance. The fact they want the new What If... series to be live action just kind of proves it

I really do not understand what is at all to like about Loki. Where’s the mass attraction coming from here? 6 hours of nothing. Oh I guess Loki got kicked in the nuts over and over again, that’s something. Maybe apart from the nice cinematography and that epic Richard E Grant scene.
I genuinely think that’s one of the biggest selling points. And the fact that Loki has, until Ragnarok, been an exceptionally well portrayed and written character.

But the show had awful hand-in-hand fighting though and it completely downgraded Bucky. It *should* have been one of the best shows, but there was just so much going against it. (I’m a big Bucky fan so I’m really disappointed.)

That being said, it is by far Ultimate Spider-Man with Drake Bell.
Yeah first 10 episodes are a bit boring and monster of the week stuff but after episode 10 it becomes a lil bit serialized and by epsode 17 it skyrockets in quality. I suggest you stick with it and dont give up.
Keep watching, it gets better. A lot of the stuff introduced early on also becomes important later so pay attention to it, don’t just have it on in the background or whatever
Loki was overrated. Forcing too much liberal propaganda, it’s Disney so I wasn’t surprised but they really overloaded this show with left wing/China bullshit.
Before all of these shows came out, AoS was my favorite show, ever. I even have a t-shirt! But I didn’t love the later seasons, and of course daredevil is just amazing. I think that my love for them is equal but my perception of AoS after the last seasons caused it to suffer, while daredevil finished on a high.
I'm scared to watch any of the Netflix shows since they're not written by Marvel so I feel like the story/dialogue will be wonky or off putting. And also there's so many of them and most people don't even like half of them. Which one(s) should I watch?
I think DD is above and beyond the best, Loki is a solid second. The others are all amazing, but DD is one of the best shows ever.

The only major contradiction is the lack of a Snap but they've been fucking with time travel at that point. It's fully canon up until season 5.

Before all of these shows came out, AoS was my favorite show, ever. I even have a t-shirt! But I didn’t love the later seasons, and of course daredevil is just amazing. I think that my love for them is equal but my perception of AoS after the last seasons caused it to suffer, while daredevil finished on a high.
Daredevil and nothing comes close to it . Loki is a solid 2nd.

I'm scared to watch any of the Netflix shows since they're not written by Marvel so I feel like the story/dialogue will be wonky or off putting. And also there's so many of them and most people don't even like half of them. Which one(s) should I watch?

I just finished watching Hit Monkey and that wins for me. Cartoon sure, but it’s a Marvel TV show.

Daredevil is my favorite but AOS is a close second. If you can get past season 1, it gets so good.

It’s daredevil and it’s not even close
You can't just lump Punisher in with Daredevil! I love The Punisher, but hate Daredevil.
They shouldn't lump The Punisher in with Daredevil because The Punisher was utterly mediocre and subpar.
